ODE to the Ghost of the Past

Vanish, oh Messenger of Doom!
Vanish, Herald of Fate!
Thou shall destroy the Loom
And give in to Death and Rebirth.

As Phoenix reaches the sky, and Moth burns closing to fire
You build on an empire of dust and mists in reply…
No more shall you conquer the weak!
No more shall you destroy the faith!
Go ahead and rot in your will as by force you are turned away!

Vanish, oh Messenger of Doom!
Vanish, Herald of Fate!
Thou shall destroy the Loom
And give in to Death and Rebirth.

Go back to change, cleanse yourself from all guilt,
From all pain and deceit You shall come back avenged.
No longer the Executioner, No longer the Judge…
No longer the Keeper…
Thinned is your blood!

Vanish, oh Messenger of Doom!
Vanish, Herald of Fate!
Thou shall destroy the Loom
And give in to Death and Rebirth.

Thy legacy shall live on in lore and fairy, and bardic tales
Thy foolishy might will beat in drums
As memories fill your grave.
Alas! Thy shadows will be whole!
Alas! Thrill in darkness despaired!
Alas! Melt both flesh and bone…
Then not even the ashes will remain

Vanish, oh Messenger of Doom!
Vanish, Herald of Fate!
Thou shall destroy the Loom
And give in to Death and Rebirth.

-Kymill the Bard of the Planes
