Another day, another way... Run, Luke, RUN!

...

What have I been up to? Well… Busy days, as usual. Let’s see…

FRIDAY: No system at work, so stayed until the local monopolic phone company decided to fix the line… Took the afternoon off so I could do some mandatory things like taking Groundel home after his doctor’s appointment, picking up the mage so he could deliver Munchkin’s cash, getting a date for food assistance, getting psyched out about the traffic and the mall, finally getting home AMEN

SATURDAY: Woke up around midday. The mage decided to actually do something about the kitty’s security fence, so while he pondered the mechanics I cooked (Yes, Ladies and Gentlemen… I can cook. I just hate doing so. Any questions?). After lunch went straight to business handling out the instructions for kitty fence, and so the wiring was mostly done. Only the upper parts are left for a next mission perhaps next weekend. The sun came down while we were doing the finishing touches, we had a quick dinner and off we went to FINALLY see 300… Whoa! Poetry in motion! I loved the movie… Yes, very predictable, duh, but the warriors… the fighting scenes… the blood… the form… the eye candy… the atmosphere… the symmetry… Poetry in motion. It was over too fast for my taste, I wanted more… I wanted to see the whole battle after the 300 died… But that should be another story, if so… Loved the way they portrait Spartan women, commanding so much respect and actually doing something else than looking pretty or being helpless. So… After the movie, picked up some meds, did a quick grocery shopping and reached home at midnight.

SUNDAY: Gargoyles morning, watched the whole First Season. Nothing like Goliath to start a day in the right track… Went to Groundel’s place to deliver meds and stayed for a bit having pasta lunch and getting updates. By mid afternoon reached auntie’s place, and got the shocking news that the stupid parakeet that has been living there for eons had layed two eggs… LOL Well, I guess Pancha was quite happy to have me off the house, or something. Watever… Cleaned up the ex-kitty room, walls and everything. Hope to be able to paint the room by Holy Week, thinking of combining yellow and white. Gotta lay out my plush dolls on the current shelves, and try getting thin ones to display the Jem-Xena-Barbie dolls… But that is another project. Cleaned up part of my other bedroom and organized things so at least it looks tidy. Will keep moving stuff to my house later on… By nightfall auntie made some chicken with rice and pasteles (todo el año es Navidad… Tell me about it…), and got a call from the mage… His car would not start up after he delivered Munchkin…(oh, the fateful Russian Roulette, so fun it is to play it… so like stating that the car must have something new to bother each week…) So… Two hours later he finally made it to aunties, we gathered soe stuff into the cars and off we went… Reached home after 9pm, and while Lord of the Rings was in the background we tried putting things in their right places (at least the clothing). By the part where the wraiths get to the Prancing Pony we were already hooked on the movie (yet again) and left everything else for later… The second LOTR movie played, but I realized it was midnight and so off we went to try catching some Z’s… right…

MONDAY: Had an appointment at the food place by 8:15, so the mage left his truck at the electro-mechanic and I went to fill up blanks and papers. The nutritionist was very, very nice, and she fixed all so we would get the aid. So, got the aid, got the goods, went to the lab to pickup some test results… And one result was missing. After making me wait more than an hour, had to take the test again. Ugh! Actually got out of the lab after midday… So I lost the whole morning on these issues… Took the food to Groundel’s den since I would not be able to reach my home before work’s lunchtime was over. Heated up my canned soup, and off I went to work… Had no problems, though I found the server cabinet was open… I figured someone had checked something and later on I was told that someone from the phone company came in to fix something. Coolio. Everything was running smoothly, and I got enough inspiration to actually fill my taxes form, both the long and the short versions… After work went to pickup the groceries, Groundel treated me to some food hunting and after delivering him to his den I went home. Night had already fell, and the rain made it all so cold! I just shot myself with insulin, ate some Cheerios and went off to bed… Must have fallen asleep around seven… Woke up before midnight as I heard the sound of the cistern. The mage had arrived from work, and as he came up I mentioned I had done the taxes at work and suggested he should do his… So I kinda got hooked on taxes (WTF) and so filled up his papers. Realized it was almost 2am, so went to bed again…

TUESDAY: Woke up very early, at 5am, since I had to go get another stupid test at the lab. It’s funny that while I waited, a girl I was mentioning to the mage appeared there… Seems she finished what she started studying and now works at the lab/hospital premises. Cool thing. It is always great to see someone make progress in life, especially knowing all the struggles she has gone through. So… Reached my office, prepared a small breakfast, and energized my fingers long enough to write all this… Wheeeeeeeeee o algo. :P Hope to simply go home to sleep… I feel busted! (No pun intended… Grrrr)

So… The days keep running away REALLY fast… Everything has been on the go, not too much time to think about it just do it. Hope to get to see the Laberynth of Pan before they take it off the movies… The house’s cascade has been in all its glory thanks to so much rain… Hope to fill the floor cracks and to paint it off before my b-day.

FRIENDS: Well, Groundel realized he’s grounded on the isle until he heals because he can have a mayor bloodloss if getting on an airplane… He’s managing things. Finally got to talk and see Raven last week and she seems to be handling things as well. Coriolis has been quite busy playing corporate slave during the weekend, hope he can climb the corporate ladder and in the end screw them all (umm… no pun intended, again…). Kara has been lending some ears (erm… eyes?) and thanks to that I am not as panicked as before… Haven’t seen LS in a few, and Joe in a long time, but I know they are fine (bad news are always the ones that travel fast, so no news mean things are coolio, surviving).

CATS: Set has FINALLY stopped being depressed. He’s even dressing up in a tux and knocking on the door whenever he needs service… Who knew?

ME: Alannis sums it all up… Until next…

I'm broke but I'm happy
I'm poor bue I'm kind
I'm short but I'm healthy, yeah
I'm high but I'm grounded
I'm sane but I'm overwhelmed
I'm lost but I'm hopeful baby

What it all comes down to
Is that everything's gonna be fine fine fine
I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is giving a high five

I feel drunk but I'm sober
I'm young and I'm underpaid
I'm tired but I'm working, yeah
I care but I'm restless
I'm here but I'm really gone
I'm wrong and I'm sorry baby

What it all comes down to
is that everything's gonna be quite alright
I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other is flicking a cigarette

What is all comes down to
Is that I haven't got it all figured out just yet
I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is giving the peace sign

I'm free but I'm focused
I'm green but I'm wise
I'm hard but I'm friendly baby
I'm sad but I'm laughing
I'm brave but I'm chicken shit
I'm sick but I'm pretty baby

What it all boils down to
Is that no one's really got it figured out just yet
I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is playing the piano

What it all comes down to my friends
Is that everything's just fine fine fine
I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is hailing a taxi cab...
