Lazy, Breezy, Beautiful me...

Well, woke up at midday, just in time for my supper...ermm... midday breakfast? Thinking of visiting government offices to make my uncle happy, when Groundel's call happenned. Got him, just after ripping off the newspaper part in which cinemas display their movie times. My intention was to actually go watch Xmen3, but then a big but happenned... a longaleer wait line which I was not gonna get into. Sooo...

Took Groundel to the hospital (so he would deal with the payment of the Cellulitis Incident which should be covered by the med card that his college provided). Then tried getting information on mortages and how to do a double mortage but I won't even go there... Next went to CRIM so they would send me to ARPE, who in turn told me to get a number from AAA or AEE so they can try finding a file that was probably destroyed beause it was more than 10 years old. Sooo... Frustrated and angry as the white female I am, went to try getting the right movie that would let me vent off the fact that every route to solve financial distress is off and I will have to simply deal with it even for a longer period... Whatever.

Rented 4 movies: NannyMcPhee,Marebito, American Gothic and Memoirs of a Geisha. Watched two today, the others will be for tomorrow's delight.

Nanny McPhee: Whoever says or thinks that this movie is the new Mary Poppins is in desperate need of attention or simply wants to be strapped down and sent to Mepsi. Hello! I am deeply sorry people... Yes, this is a cute movie about misbehaved children (another movie of brats) being restrained and taught the proper ways in life (yet again)... Thank God I didn't saw it at the movies... Ok to pass the time at home, but it lacks the soul that dear Julie Andrews has. There can be no other Julie Andrews as she is a living inmortal! Mary Poppins has no equal because it is timeless and brings the innocence out of adults as well as children... Nanny McPhee may be a children's movie (it certainly has the colors and simple drama for that matter) but Mary Poppins is for all ages, teaching lessons that trascends cultures, backgrounds, and time.

Marebito: Unhhhh! I repeat: Unhhhh! Ok, so it may have been a nice horror plot... If one actually got scared of what the screen shows... A guy that stops taking his Prozac and who is obsessed with witnessing the terrors that suicides or crime victims witness at their deaths. Somewhere in the movie, while getting lost within the Tokyo underground, he meets and talks with people who are suppossed to be dead, and he finally finds some sort of ruins with a naked girl chained up in a crevice. He takes the girl to his techno-rat/video freak apartment, she behaves as a pet who wont eat or drink anything... Until he has an acident in which a guy gets pissed because he was filming him and the guy takes his video camera and beats him up with it. The techno-rat/video psycho gets cut in the hand, goes home, and suddenly the girl ends up sucking his finger... so he discovers that the food the girl needs is blood. From that point on the film is about the guy filming everyone (even if that means getting his ass kicked by strangers), killing who turned out to be a wife he had, killing a girl to get food...ermm, blood... to his pet-girl... his search for feeling terror, his pathethic life... yadda yadda. In the end the guy cuts his mouth so the girl will drink him up (and so the movie gets an erotic incestlike scene since the bloodthirsty girl turns out to actually be his daughter), and then takes him to the underwold so he faces terror and then they live happily ever after. And why I bothered to tell you the plot, climax and conlusion (yes they are all in here)? So you don't even bother to pick it up. Where's the horror? The suspense? The drama? The icing of the cake? The emeral on the snake eye? Yup, that bad it was.

Next!

LS dropped by to watch the Nanny movie with us. The late supper/dinner was great! I have this bacalao antojo that doesn't get away! Well, in other news, yesterday got a all from the church at Hormigueros asking about my getting married on the 28th... this month... Ermmm... No, you haven't misread anything. I just forgot that almost a year and a half ago I separated that date... And it is a definitively no-no as it is next Sunday! Groundel needs to finish off school first (so he doesn't loose the scholarship aid) and to have a job (drip, drip, drip) so we can atually set a date for that matter... Maybe December next year, if he achieves his goals... Let's see how that turns out.

The Sims2 is definite eye candy, but the Sims1 is definite fun. Old and original is better than modern but predictable. Hmmm, Coriolis, take that advice! ;P

Gotta go deliver the orc.
