Friday night. To auntie's for food, hunger... yummy... Not much to do, no cash to do anything, so it we watched Vampyr and the Mascot since they arrived by mail... (I'm trying out Blockbuster by mail, so far it sucks, takes too long to arrive...). Invited Marie over but she had some trouble with her roomies so she couldn't make it.

Vampyr had the shadow play that gave Coppola the ideas for the live shadows in Bram Stoker's Dracula. Interesting idea of suicides becoming vampires because they are banned from heaven and cursed... Taking into account the year the movie was made, it was state of the art. Black & white with plenty of shadow's play and drama injected by the use of written words and explanations in the screen. A bit slow for my taste, almost fall asleep. Then the Mascot... It was a cute little flick that I really liked. The idea of the tears of the mom giving the rad doggy a heart was very sweet. And again, I imagine all the work to make the dolls and marionettes move... That must have been labor back then!

Saturday. A bit of housekeeping, then to my aunt’s to gather goodies. She gave me cash for gas, so tried to venture and see Lucinda but there was nobody home. So, came back to my lair… Improvised movie night watching Return of the King extended edition with Groundel… LOL That was quite enough. Watching the ranger and the ghosts fighting, and the fair lady saving the day in her own way was refreshing, as always... Yup, LOTR is the kind of story that always brings you a smile of hope to your face, no matter what... Anyway, in the net for a while, and to bed.

Sunday. Gruendel passed by early in the morning with breakfast, and ready for the task ahead: Mayor papers/mags/books cleaning & arranging… Took all the plastic boxes that I have and emptied them… Then gathered everything in them in an orderly fashion. Two boxes remained empty, so I could also do some closet cleaning and gather the wedding things that remained scattered… And also made scrapbooking space in the cabinet I use for this purpose… it had too much trash inside, so to the garbage with unused yucky stuff. Yay! More space… the final frontier! Ended up quite tired. Visited my auntie’s for goodies, again, and then left Groundel in the park. Went home and watched Snow White and the 7 dwarves, and Finding Nemo. Marie called and we talked for a small while. Then, to bed.

Monday. Will finish doing a computer that needed to be formatted… May go home for lunch. There is an administrative reunion at 1pm, so there goes the afternoon. At least I am very positive that the day will be gone very, very soon.
