Twinkling Razzle-Dazzle

...

Days are going by slowly. The chilly madness is suddenly replaced by hot days that are unnerving. Some help may come in disguise as we still quarrel for the neverending task of finding THE job… In the meantime, being minions will do… Baby is well, hubby is well. All alive and kicking, I think…

I’m increasingly sad. I dislike the current situation of nowhere to run to nowhere to hide, but much to face and conquer. Played the fight so well, but now the plateau denominated “waiting game”is driving me insane. Looking for something to keep the sanity check, finding solace in beloved Lady of Sorrows and journaling, but still… The uncertainty of it all is beyond frustrating. The living one day at a time means no real control lay in your hands, so you must outwit whatever is thrown your way… Oh, the thrill of the uncertain! For a while it’s nice, but it has its price…

The appreciation of what you have changes. The deliverance from the superfluous to the important is both intoxicating and chaotic. Each morning we face a sunrise hoping a miracle lives on. Each afternoon we guard the miracle and marvel in its radiance, in its defiant truth… Each sunset brings along the belief that must keep burning within our zenith… A belief that struggles against the enemies of despair, of destiny… It is a paradox to look into life and know the imminence of death, up close and personal! It is important the here and now, the making of… the journey. It all is in our face, it all brings the greatest of beauties, and the most terrible of pains. This is our daily truth, our daily conflict, our daily despair, our daily hope… To acknowledge a heart full of lovely sunrises and sunsets, to acknowledge a heart entwined in thorns.

I live the greatness of love. I live the greatest horror. Day by day the rose let go of a petal… One by one a lovely road towards oblivion takes shape… lovely shape, lovely perfumed shape wrapped by mystery and shadows. Nothing else to do, but to trust and go on… to believe and live for real. Fear is the greatest enemy of everything and everyone… Fear destroys hope, destroy possibilities, destroys what can be and has not been yet… It is fear we must battle so we can smile through it all, so the miracle keeps its beauty, so the meaning of life keeps on revealing itself to us. And it is not easy at all… Wondering why is a waste of time. Scheming the end is pointless. The goal must be ongoing, else everything could fall…

When there is too much time to actually think, you realize it is better not to… Because thinking will drive you mad. Sometimes it is better to keep doing… to keep swimming… So strength and will keep on being pillars in your heart. So the journey blinds you with its razzle-dazzle… So an alternate reality can be cast at will.

Update

...

Passed drug test so they'll call in the middle of June or something to take orientation thinguie... Should be working in July. Yipee, or something. Grateful about it, don't get me wrong, I just wished I could find something art related, not techie... Eeeeck! Good point: I'll get updated in matters of operating systems and software... which is good. I was in a rot for a while.

Finance places driving me crazy with their neverending calls! Geesh! I explain the same crap almost DAILY... Customer care, my ass! One out of three is trying to work things out... The other two... Not polite. They even mentioned using the fundraising money to pay them. Ok... Where the "it's not my money, and it is for medical baby emergencies" is completely ignored... (Sight) And I'm sorry, but we cannot touch Deedee's money because we KNOW she will need MORE than that!

No clothing yet... (Sight) At least I know I'll have to wear an uniform, which is GREAT! I'm all for uniforms. It makes things easier. Hubby left some laundry at the laundry place by mistake, so I've got even less clothing... I hop that the right boxes arrive soon. Three were delivered last Sunday, all of them by chance had Deedee's clothing and stuff. Nothing for me. Positive side: Deedee has enough until her birthday. Con: I am starting a Ferengi wife clothing line...

House, still an afterthought. The realtor has not moved much, the bank made my life miserable to send me the stupid cancelation balance, and the potential buyer may have changed his mind after a month and a half has passed... And I need to sell in less than a month, May is not paid. We all know what that can mean...

Groundel had an operation yesterday. The doctor cut some bone, did something to his Achiles heel and some insitions in his leg... Night of the Living Dead, take six? (Sight) Talked with him before midnight, he seemed to be bearing with it all... Send good vibes his way, please!

Baby is fine so far, hubby is fine so far, and the dark cold days have been replaced by sunny cold days... Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...

At week's middleground...

Neverland still floats... just like sh...

FAMILY:
Baby doing just fine, with the mask and without it. Hubby behaving pleasantly and limiting his playing time...amen... plus looking for a job. Auntie alive and kicking, mommy as well. Maybe the Texas crew will be here next weekend, if it all goes as they planned. No news from the Olivieris, no new from the Florida Clan.

FRIENDS:
Groundel happily receiving the 5 star treatment at the hospital, as usual. He should ponder getting some shares in there... or getting a job in there... Who knows, since by now they know him so well... :P It all looked very bad the first days, but slightly it all is heading towards same infection he always gets because his half-foot is not sealed... Hopefully nothing new-er. Maybe he'll be out by Father's Day...

LightShadow getting around, doing the amazing things she does with the little time she has... Wow! Talk about magical abilities! (Or the abilities of the undead...

Coriolis still out there in the Twilight Zone... Hello? Echo!!!!!

Just found out about a very old friend that was lost in translation... but that is still alive and doing a very good job at surviving! :P Zolanch, glad to meet you again, and again, and again... It is funny that whenever a major change occurs, she appears. Imagine this: She was even there the day I was born! And she was not even born yet! Talk about synchronicity!

Recently added Lynnette's blog to the little witch's and mine... I always forgot to do so, but hey, FINALLY... And she is someone who always write something interesting! Alas!

ME:
Finally ventured out yesterday, took the bus on my own and didnt get lost. Finally got an interview... High odds that I'll be hired in a very ironic place (LS advises may be called upon)... Got chocolate cake and chocolate ice-cream for Mother's Day, a crystal base with magic beads and a baby going berserk with the diapers. What else could I ask for?

Actually, I could ask for a little more intervention from friendly neighbors... Yup, some interaction would be good... Oh, well. Just got 3 fine art posters that I ordered for the living room: Romeo&Juliet (as the one in my wedding invitations), The Accolade (lady knighting a squire) and The Crystall Ball (witchy fortune lady staring into crystal ball). These are classics paintings, should give some character to the place. Hopefully Lulu will be able to send me my posters from my ex-office, would love Vincent in the room's door... Yup, still a poster person...

Got some poster-papers so I will do some Ariel-Tinkerbell art for Deedee's room. Finally! Yup, it took long to simply find them! That should provide some entertainment for the next 2 days...

Also, got a scrapbooking program. Simple but it will help. La vena me la pide.

I just got very disturbed by Sora singing with Donald Duck and Ariel... I have seen everything now!

FREE at Last

I may have some strange powers, or something... but as I wrote the latest post, my grandfather died. So, finally he is at peace with his loved ones and without any hurt or pain... Free at last. Just as it was done with his wife, he wont be placed in a funeral place, but cremated today so he'll be taken to the grave in a small urn... No days for people to visit him and mourn him, no days to reminisce on his memory and life... I have nothing against cremation BUT I am completely against doing just that. I think a corpse should be placed in a chapel so family and friends can say goodbye, so prayers can be done properly... then cremation, then burying... ANd then the mandatory rosaries. That choice of simply paying for a mass dedicated to the memory of people is stupid. To me it has no value. To me, praying the rosary while guarding the corpse and afterwards is the real way of bringing light to the spirit. Paying for a mass has no real emotional value. That is my humble opinion, which no one has asked for, I know.

So... I am REALLY worried about Auntie now. I know she is alone over there in the island, and no one else really cares about it. To each with their contience...

Still no news about Steve. I am really worried about him. I hope that someone, ANYONE, is taking care of at least bringing some snacks to him... His " i dont want to bother anyone" themesong places him in the hospital... I know...

If I had the money to do so, I would solve everything. But I dont, so I cant... My thoughts and prayers are with all of those who need me.

AND NOW, A DEFINITE UPDATE

... amen...

FAMILY
In Puerto Rico noone can hear you scream… That should be the slogan for them. Ugh! Sheez! Why? Simple:

Grandfather is almost dying at that home in which he was placed. Not taken good care of. Not living just being barely kept alive. Not recognizing auntie, not opening much his eyes, and doctors are not optimistic about his future… A death foretold. But sincerely, THAT would be the best thing for him. Being forgotten in a home with onle a mandatory visit a month, a quick one, is not worth living. He needs to be with his wife and with his mother and father… Enough is enough.

Auntie: Noone visits her… Noone but LightShadow and Groundel when they go to check the cats, and once a month when my mother shows up to take her to the grocery store. Now she’s missing us. She thinks we’ll be over there soon… I wish. What Deedee needs is not in PR… It is the only thing that truly saddens me, not being able to be there for her as she deserves. Many times I wonder what to do, as I KNOW she needs me. We fight all the time, but we love each other the same way…

Uncle: Undergo an operation which was successful and is recovering in SJ. As usual, I know now but noone said anything about the operation, etc… Communication… None… Nothing changes…

Mother: Not so well, as she and her hubby are STILL with the skin illness, plus diabetic trademarks. But, since one tells them what to do and they don’t do it…

Florida Uncle: Has called various times to check up on Deedee’s status. My cousin has called him also trying to find out wherabouts. That’s surprising.

Everyone else: Haven’t heard much of anyone else. Maybe people got sucked into a black hole or something

FRIENDS
Groundel is in the hospital again. Well, he was off it for 4 months… So I guess it was due. Not taking his insulin and not telling people what he should… What to do, what to do… He’s at Perea, Room 308. Please call/visit him, he needs all the support he can get. And it drives me psycho not being able to be there….

LightShadow: Working/working/working/caring for her mom/ caring for everyone else/ working…

Coriolis: Missing in action. Don’t know what his problem is, and since he won’t tell or call back, I guess I’ll never know. I don’t get such behaviour from someone who used to call me “ best friend”… Guess that’s what happens when you are forced to live in someone’s house for 3 months…

CATS
Being kept plump and happy by auntie. The report from Groundel and LS is that they are ok. I wonder if they miss me… My Kyonene… My Isis, Crow, Set, Kali, Roxy, Michita, Cyric… What to do, what to do…

BABY
Happy, using nasal mask 20 hours a day, mask-free 4-5 hours a day, stable, plump and amazing us day by day

HUBBY
Taking care of baby, looking for a job, filling out forms for government aids, making things happen. I’m proud of my mage, he’s been growing up, coping with things, coping with demanding me. Always keeping the focus of us, of his beloved family, of what is best for Deedee. Circunstance has made a man out of him.

ME
Sometimes hopeful and happy, many times feeling isolated and lonely. Being confined to 4 walls with noone to talk to but baby and hubby… The help is getting here, but it is not the same… Psycho about getting a job, psycho about baby’s care. Hating the weather changes. Hating some people’s cold shoulder. But what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, and this is not a picnic… There is purpose and goal, so the way will reveal itself in time. I wonder about the decisions, about if this was the best choice… But no question about one thing: Baby is better because of the care in here. True friends have been revealed, and hope keeps fueling my will.

Any questions?

Burocratic Shit

...

I am so damn tired of all this shit about government agencies and their not doing what they should for the public that really needs it! I'm beyond upset with the latest news about Catastrophic Funds and what it said it would do and now seems to be trying to back away from doing! Everythig depends on their helping us jump to the other side... we trusted their word... so we get this... a re-submitting of a case to see if they can grant a yes... Grant? Yup... Grant... I pay taxes, right? I have busted my ass working for more than 13 years without help of anyone but my two hands... Because of that, and the fact that I studied and, OMG, I didnt have children as a rat would, I am sentenced to have no help at all from the government. I need to be jobless, mindless, and full of shit so I can get government aids. Thats this island's justice.

I am pissed. I am tired. I am unnerved. I am stressed. I am in a very bad mood. And I feel every effort no matter how fruitful has been futile... All because the friggin system that we have only do something for the corrupt, the political bitches and the "mantenios". Hope... So difficult to get a grasp of that small almost intangible thing... But I do have hope. And I hope it doesnt get killed next Wednesday.

Baby can die any minute, and the urgency about it is so baffling! It is true that the only belief we can have is in God. He is the only one that doesnt lie, ever. I know He will show us the way, somehow. I just wish that for once it didnt have to be the hard way... Someday the purpose will be revealed... but right now it is very taxing and draining... A break? Please? Is that so much to ask?

WINDS OF CHANGE

...

At hometown trying to sort things out, preparing luggage just in case, tying the loose ends... Status on everything? Here goes:

HOME: A big mess. Was trying to sell it asap, but seems it will have to wait a bit, just a bit... If I cant sell by end of March I will have to give up the house in April, period. Will not be in the island by then, anyway...

FAMILY: Auntie thinks just praying fix things, and I have nothing against prayers BUT they also need to be followed by action. God send the fishing but one must dig the bait. Some are helping out in their own special way. Let's see what comes out of everything...

FRIENDS: Strangers have been friendlier than friends, and this is not high school... That has been the big irony of it all... But all in all... We are grateful for the small details that people have done for us. We are grateful for LightShadow's diligence in fundraising for the baby, we we grateful for Coriolis's granting shelter under this big snowfall, we are grateful for Groundel's never-ending concern and love for Deedee, we are grateful for the people who dont know us and have move things so we can get Deedee to the US mainland, we are grateful for prayers from children and elders. And we are grateful to God that he has granted a longer stay for DeeVa in this world.

BABY: At the hospital, intensive care, intubated, waiting for the date of the big flight. We have an air ambulance (AMEN!) and will soon be taking her to the best p[lace to treat her disease. All this time she's been a trooper, showing love and will for living.

DADDY: Keeps on being his random crazy self, taking care of baby and of his mad witch. He has been a constant caregiver, completely giving himself to the cause... A constant support, a constant light in the darkness. He's never failed to keep the hope, the belief, the dream... Has been punched by reality too many times, but stills gives a smile and moves forward no matter what.

MOMMY: Keeps on being as bitchy as ever, pushing things so they get done. Keeping sanity in the midst of chaos. Keeping belief and faith, while fighting every odd. Very edgy, very stressed... But nothing will stop what needs to be done.

We are both sad that some people don't really understand what we've done, why we are doing everything... We are doing this because Deirdre Valeria is there. You just have to be with her to KNOW she is there. She reacts to everything, all the time. She is alive and aware, highly intelligent, and with deep desire to live. She deserves the chance. We are the only ones who can grant that wish.

Some people think it has been insane to leave everything, that our world has collapsed to the worst... Well, this is an eye openner for you: We hated our lived before Deedee was born. Nothing substancial ever happenned, nothing mattered. She brought us a reason to live on, to believe in goodness. Thanks to her we have seen the good that still exists in this crappy island, the people who don't turn away but give a helping hand without even knowing you. I will loose a house? Not that we liked it anyway... We have a home wherever we go. What about our jobs? We were angry at our jobs anyway. Now we have a reason to get out of our comfort zones and try something else. So life has been stirred upside down,... So what? We stand together no matter what. Deedee has given us many lessons in what is TRULY important in life. She has shown us how to REALLY LIVE. And that is... Do your very best to enjoy every little miracle around you, your family, your friends, your pets... a sunset, the rain... Every little thing matters, has a purpose, and can bring you happiness. Having everything means being able to say that you are at peace with yourself, that you reach out to others to help them grow, being able to smile because your heart dictates so.

For many, the Mage and the Witch have nothing... But we have everything. We have true love in our lives, and we have around us people who truly care for us. And most important of all, God smiles when he looks at us. I know it.

So, we are getting ready for a big change. We will leave the isle soon, seeking the best medical care for our DeeVa, so she has a chance for living life to the fullest. We love her, always have and always will. Whatever happens will be guided by God, as everything is in His hands. There is a big purpose for everything that has happenned... For us, for Groundel, for LightShadow, for Coriolis... God's chess game goes on. In the end... Everything will make sense, everything will awe us... for the best.

Looking things up

...

Checking the cities of Madison and Newark so we get a feel of what is to come. Madison "Mad City" is very interesting. Low unemployment, highest people with doctoral degrees in the country, economic growth projects... Beautiful place, very liberal and varied... And right now very covered with snow. Temperature ranges from -XYZ to 87 in July... 87 is very hot... OMG!
Newark... Hectic. But has many aids for low income people. University Hospital has many financial aids. It was funny, on all 3 top doctors list DrBach is always there... And they havent heard of him in here... Right!

Traveling has become more of a burden because of the road accidents that keep being more frequent. Yesterday we managed to go to the Salvation Army so we could get winter coats just in case, and upon exit one of the tires had a big nail on it... We went to the auto service place, and they wanted to sell us a new tire... So basically we changed the tire for a spare and will see tomorrow at a tire place what can be done about it... It was a new tire! So this really bothers...

On Friday we visited the medical plan and then cathastrophic funds... There is a big difference between phone and in-person. Perhaps progress was achieved... We'll see.

Today... to see the Deeva, and to try sleeping at night... Tired, and drained.

Mad

... at all times, 24/7... And proud of it...

I don't know why I bother trying to gather as much information as I can to give to the right people... or at least to the people that must have the knowledge... I have been wasting my time. When I think I am doing some progress, it is the oppossite. What is the use of trying something when you don't really want it to work? That's basically what I should be asking the doctors... I feel cheated and offended. Trying things out to prove us wrong, just what is that.. People give swift punches with just words. We have been so naive as to believe that getting information from the experts would ease the whole picture... How wrong! We didn't count on a system that works layers within layers, where the patient is a number translated into an institution's desire... How wrong of us to try swimming against the stream... for the sake of belief in progress... Something not so new cannot be exposed simply because it is different. I forgot, doing things differently labels you as insane even if somewhere in the world it is the right thing to do...

I don't feel too rational right now. I have tried being polite and nice, I've been a "sport" and danced to the music played by the people in power. For what? This is not the era of chivalry, of values, of doing good deeds. In this era only the strongest, loudest, meanest, and irreverent survives and gets away with what they want. Why things must be this way? Why there is no thirst for knowledge, for learning, for solving problems putting yourself in the other person's shoes? UGH!!!!

Hospital staff... The doc who wants to try, the doc who desnt and the one who wants to prove us wrong. Lovely picture. Then the therapists that work... and the ones that wonder why the heck they give them more work... And so one wonders what are THEY up to... A HYBRID they say... They want to make a hybrid of their process (safe tracheotomy) and the NIV (too much work for them). It wont work. Really... I dont need an astrologist to tell me that future...

So... Only turn to take, sound prayers to the Allmighty... He knows our hearts, who's been good and who's been not so good... He knows which cause is worthy, and which isn't. So I let Him take charge... Do what You must... Nowhere to run to, nowhere to hide. Do Your magic, as You always do to those pure at heart.

Anniversary, Extubation, FundRaising

... the fun never stops...

Living as if being trapped in a long mini-series based on ER that turns into horror-drama each time the sun rises and each time the night falls...

DeeVa was extubated today to BiPap. Let's see if it works... Still, we need $27,000 to move her to US Mainland. Got help?

The Witch and the Mage turned One Year Old together. Seems no one cared much about it... Well, at least our DeeVa smiled about that, and decided to let the BiPap work as a nice little gift to us...

Groundel getting around, helping out for DeeVa's sake.

LightShadow becoming a DeeVa activist. There is no end to her ongoing quest! Yay! Next step: to rule the world!

Coriolis being a bit cryptic, a bit Ronald-Mc-D, and a bit psycho (now he's kitty hunting... what the world is turning into...)

So... Drama goes on, excitement and adventure goes on, DeeVa goes on... And the Story of Us goes on... Until the end of time.

HELP NEEDED

...

5 months baby DEIRDRE V. MEDINA needs your help!
She has been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy and needs to be taken to the United States for proper Non-Invasive treatment. The medical insurance does NOT cover any transfer or hospital expenses withing the US Mainland, so we need your help. The funding account is at Banco Popular of Puerto Rico, checking account # 041-473272

What is Spinal Muscular Atrophy (Werdning-Hoffman Disease)?

Werdnig Hoffmann disease is a type of spinal muscular atrophy. It is a rare, inherited progressive neuromuscular disorder of infancy characterized by degeneration of groups of nerve cells (motor nuclei) within the lowest region of the brain (lower brainstem) and certain motor neurons in the spinal cord (anterior horn cells). Motor neurons are nerve cells that transmit nerve impulses from the spinal cord or brain (central nervous system) to muscle or glandular tissue.

Approximately 80% of SMA falls into the severe category (SMA1). Infants with SMA1 experience severe weakness before 6 months of age, and the patient never achieves the ability to sit independently when placed. Muscle weakness, lack of motor development and poor muscle tone are the major clinical manifestations of SMA1. Infants with the gravest prognosis have problems sucking or swallowing. Some show abdominal breathing in the first few months of life. Muscle weakness occurs on both sides of the body and the ocular muscles are not affected. A twitching of the tongue is often seen. Intelligence is normal. Most affected children die before 2 years of age but survival may be dependent on the degree of respiratory function.

For infants who appear to develop normally during the first months of life, muscles of the pelvic, trunk, and shoulder areas may initially appear to be disproportionately affected. With disease progression, diminished muscle tone and weakness may gradually spread to affect almost all voluntary muscles, with the exception of certain muscles controlling movements of the eyes. Intelligence is NOT affected.

Infants with Werdnig Hoffmann disease may lack head control, may be unable to roll over or support their weight, and tend to lie relatively still, with little or no movement (flaccid paralysis). In addition, they may develop difficulties sucking, swallowing, and breathing; have an increased susceptibility to respiratory infections; or develop other complications that may lead to potentially life-threatening abnormalities within the first months or years of life. For infants who appear to have normal development for several months prior to the onset of muscle weakness, the disorder may tend to have a more slowly progressive course.

Werdnig Hoffmann disease is inherited as an autosomal recessive trait. Molecular genetic testing has revealed that all types of autosomal recessive SMA are caused by mutations in the SMN (survival motor neuron) gene on chromosome 5. Deletion of the NAIP (neuronal apoptosis inhibitory protein) gene that is close to the SMN gene is also associated with SMA. More patients with Werdnig Hoffman disease (SMA1) than other types of SMA have NAIP deletions. The relationship between specific mutations in the SMN gene and nearby genes and the severity of SMA is still being investigated so classification of SMA subdivisions is based on age of onset of symptoms as opposed to the genetic profile.

CLIMBING THE MOUNTAIN

...

Gosh, it all has turned beyond hectic, beyond tiresome... But hope and belief fuels our actions everyday. Our DeeVa is holding on at the hospital, had her Gtube-nissan wrap surgery, and is waiting for the cough assist to see if she gets extubated. Things are moving, slowly but certainly. We need to take her to the US mainland so SMA experts can actually customize the SMA NIV protocol for her...

Yesterday the bank account to gather funds towards this purpose was created. Banco Popular de Puerto Rico, fundraising account for Deirdre Medina is 041-473272. We will appreciate every cent. I will post the flyer as soon as I get it (LightShadow has been working on that, and many other things).

HOME: Home is where the heart is... So right now, home is the hospital.

FRIENDS: Well, they are all keeping themselves busy, and helping DeeVa one way or the other...

LightShadow drowned in work, helping Groundel, helping DeeVa... She's our spokesperson out there in the Wester area... Well, her hands are quite full, and she smiles anyway.

Coriolis, giving us shelter all this time that we've been stranded in Area Metro. He's provided technological assitance to moi so I can keep on in the Internet, as well as he is the co-founder of Deedee's benefit account.

Groundel is in Hormigueros, finally out of the hospital last Monday. He's been cleaning up and putting stuff together, and worrying about Deedee non-stop.

TheMAGE: Tired... Hopefu... He's been the driver all this long, the clown so Deedee laughs continuously, and as loving as ever. He is very tough underneath the soft mask he always wears. He has kept me strong, keeping me from collapsing or surrendering. I love him deeply, and soon our first anniversary will creep on us... A year that has passed changing our lives forever. And I would not have it any other way.

ME: Tired... Very tired. Sleeping 4-5 hours is not good for me. I NEED 9-10 hours to be fully functional... but the need to gather all the info I can so I have the tools to fight for Deedee forces the sacrifice. Hopeful. I truly believe that Deedee will prevail, I can feel it each time I look at her. She has a big purpose ahead of herself... And we are to facilitate the way...

A Year about to End

... Ahem...

What can I say? This year was something very very DIFFERENT. It was the BEST of times, it was the WORST of times... Yup, that's how to describe it...

The BEST:
Marrying the Mage & Deedee's birth. In my whole life, and that is 34 years, I have never been as happy as when these two events collided against me. Not even when I graduated with my MBA in hand... Yup, THAT much happiness!

The WORST:
Deedee's hospitalization because of lung failure, and possible outcome of SMA Type1... Which will lead to some life changing events in the future... for all of us. The drama has been taxing, heartbreaking, unnerving and simply a live-action horror movie. And this, followed by Groundel's constant hospitalizations thanks to the foot-that-wont-heal. By now I know all the hospitals in the area, and it is NOT a nice thing to know by heart, true story.

So... The Mage and I hold on to our belief, and we prepare ourselves for a very rocky road ahead of us... We believe Deedee will heal her lungs, the waiting game is the worst part. Anything can make or brake us. Bad sleeping, erratic nerves... The uncertainty of news, the getting better 3 steps ahead to get worst 6 steps back is really REALLY hurting... But we hang in there. Deedee wants to stay with us, we want her home... And if she is to live with SMA so be it, we will do everything within our power to fight that illness and give her as much time as she can have of happiness, love, warmth, thrill, adventure... you name it.

Seven months, one year... Ten... Forty... It is not quantity but quality. Many men die, not many men REALLY live. And we will make sure that whatever is the number of her stay in this rotten planet, she will REALLY live. She already KNOWS the love of her favorite slaves... parents... you name it. She KNOWS she made a big difference in our lives, and she KNOWS she will make a big difference... period. She is here with a great purpose ahead of her. And we are to be the facilitators... the guardians... the action-starters. It all began with us, and it will not stop. Things will be difficult and will test all our wits and our courage... But we will look back and laugh. Because in the end, we will win. Together, as we are now... The DeeVa, the Mage and the Witch.

And besides the family core of the three of us, the extended family that shows us we are not alone and gives us courage as well lives on...

Groundel has a strange link with our DeeVa, seems he is her magical familiar... And he cares a lot for her. It has been hard for him being in the hospital, knowing all that's been going on with DeeVa and beeing able to do nothing but stand on the sideways praying... wishing... believing... I was able to give him a picture of DeeVa taken on Xmas day, so at least he can see her. Our funny mischievous Deedee...

LightShadow has been deeply involved, granting her time and support daily. She has been a model of a godmother and a very good friend to the Mage and me, and to Groundel. Her presence inspires certainty, tranquility and action. To all of us.

Coriolis have not been around physically but has been here in spirit, calling all the time, lending an ear and words and good thoughts and prayers... Much needed... Much appreciated. Always sharing the joys and the sorrows in black and white. Complicated, and I wouldnt have it any other way.

L. and Karah have also been of great support, even if they are beyond the seas... Who knows, maybe we'll get to meet sooner than we think! So many wheels are turning at the same time!

The surprises that Christmas dragged along were from my work, where one person (Onis) has been constantly calling to know what's going on, and another four (Marta, Xionara, Raquel & Sylvia) have dropped by leaving some details in the way...

And last but not least, Raven made a brief apparition if only by email, but a useful one. Thanks for the references.

So, let this year end taking away all that is BAD, and let the new year bring on plenty of nourishment for all that is GOOD.

I raise my glass of wine and wish you all PEACE, LOVE, PROSPERITY, COURAGE and much HAPPINESS for the new year. May GOD bring much BLESSINGS to your LIFE!

Merry Blues

... Joyful sadness

It is all bittersweet. Celebrations, lights, knowing that it’s just 2 days for Xmas… Oh, we all made many plans for Deedee’s first Xmas. I wanted to take her to the lighting of our church, LS wanted to take her to the Siervas de Maria lighting, and we were to have a family gathering on Xmas eve… I guess we will have a celebration even if it is quiet. After all, it is about God’s birth… But the sadness of knowing Deedee is in the hospital and we cannot even get her in our arms is just too much… Her latest news, here in her blog, A little Mage in the Family: The sound of music.

All in all, it is better that she stays for a long time, if it means her healing completely. Her lungs need to get healthy and strong… We know what must be done… That it is hard, yup… It is. That it breaks our hearts all the way, yup. That too. This is the time for family, and although we are not together physically, we are together in spirit. We miss her, all the time, in everything we do. Just 4 hours a day to enjoy her presence, touching her little fingers and loosing ourselves in her eyes… is not enough… How can it be enough!

The Mage and I both have made some arrangements at work, hope it all ends ok. Whatever. Not thinking too much about that right now, more important things to take care of.

About Groundel… The forecast for him is 43 days in the hospital, if not more. He’s got bone infection and one kidney is very sore, so he’ll have more tests. So… Xmas, New year and Three Kings Day are kinda off-limits for him… I also know he’s been worried sick about baby…

All this drama is getting to be too much. Very draining. Very tiresome. But… We all will pull trough. Yup, together through the good, the bad and the ugly. With help from the Divine, courage, will and faith… and help from a few good friends…

Baby holds on...

and Texas Weeps

Baby holds on. She got a new tube in her chest to drain her faster... And still wakes up ready for songs. More on her blog, A Little Mage In the Family: Another Day

In Texas, Maria Luisa's mom died. An old, fierce Cuban with many stories to tell, she battled diabetes and many other things for long. Now she rests in peace, as she knew the love of her family and now she knows the might of God.

UPDATES and then some

...

The winner of the heartless-coldest-meanest comment of the day: “Para que quede vegetal major que se muera”. Comments that REALLY pisses you off, and then they wonder why you say nothing to the so-called “immediate family”. Well, you-know-who-u-are, my girl has no brain damage thank God, but if she had it would make no difference because I love her. But I understand, it is a word that you simply cannot acknowledge in your dictionary if it is not glued to monetary gain. I believe in true love, a concept that you cannot even start to grasp, a concept that my husband shares with me as well. Our child is a gift, the greatest gift that we were granted. And all that matters is the joy she brings into our life, the light we see in her eyes. If you think it is a burden, ANYTHING for YOU is a burden… Then simply “Apaga el televisor”, or go ahead and change the channel. We don’t need people who even dare to throw comments like this without knowing anything about what is going on.

I had to get that off my chest, as I was completely appalled and outraged by such statement. I wonder if I had been born with anything “unexpected” if I would have been left to die because I didn’t meet the expectations…

So… Rollercoaster of feelings, of people, of many things… That said… Deedee is stable within the circumstances. Still draining her lungs. But, as I had said to everyone, she had no flu. The X-Rays showed she had no sickness or pneumonia. Just liquid, that right now is being drained little by little. The tube she had in her nose was removed, leaving on the one in her mouth, her chest and the monitoring wires. She needs more time to heal, so results arrive, so things move on. I believe she wants to be with us, she feels the love… and she will stay. I hope that by next week she leaves intensive care and is put in a room… And I expect her home to open her Three-Kings Day gifts. Details on Deedee's recent whereabouts are in her blog under Holding On

Thanks to everyone who has called, written, text-messaged and visited. The support is very much needed and very much welcomed. The Mage and I are trying our best to stay cool, be happy and positive around Deedee , and to keep the faith… And all of you have fueled our hopes.

In other news, Groundel’s pressure is a bit high, and now he also has been diagnosed with bad kidneys. He’s still at the hospital, room 458. Please call him, it is lonely up there in that far away place! Besides, that’s why he put up a phone! Duh!

I’ve got a small cold due to all the running in and out of hospitals… Blah! Just what I needed… But big deal, the show must go on, and it will!

PS: They requested blood donations for Deirdre, she's blood type O positive. I cannot donate because I'm diabetic so if anyone else can, you are more than welcomed to do so! The blood donation center is at the building just at Mayaguez Emporium's side (Santander Plaza), in front of Centro Médico (BANCO DE SANGRE 787-834-6099)

HOSPITAL WOES

... Baby is sick...

Deedee is in the hospital, was taken to ER on Monday night and then in a rushed ambulance to the San Antonio Hospital. She is in intensive care right now. Her lungs were filled with liquid, and then they collapse yesterday early in the morning. She's battling the odds... So you prayers and good vibes are very much needed so she keeps her will to stay. We need her so much... We are running out of options in matters of what to do... Hope God grant us a miracle this Xmas.

More about DeeVa's hospitalization & details in her blog's newest entry, God wants another angel

Groundel is still hospitalized as well, his stay in Bella Vista will be beyond Xmas for sure.

DRAMA! DRAMA!

We love drama...

This weekend was quite hectic… All the conmotion began on Friday…

FRIDAY: DeeVa’s Ped Appoinment, Groundel’s Doc Appointment and mandatory chores
DeeVa has me worried with her lack of kicking and normal movement, checking the list for milestones she has not reached any concerned with her legs or raising her head. Also her right side seems a bit more raised than her left side, her struggle with drool seems non-stop heading towards 24/7 monitoring to make certain that she doesn’t choke and her 4th month is just around the corner so she will need to get her vaccine shots. Enough reasons to visit the ped. Daddy took her into this adventure. I took the afternoon off to go into nanny duty as Groundel was in a doctor’s appointment and so couldn’t take care of baby.

So, I met the Mage in the City of Hills. We had lunch together (awww) and I took baby. The ped gave a note so we can see a neurologist in Ponce to run tests to make sure DeeVa is fine. Everything else (drooling, raised chest) is normal and should just be monitored. Fine… Now I need to get the date for the neuro visit… Without good tires and overall car crisis, I better get it for after the Holidays…

Groundel called me up to pick him. He had some news as well… The doc wanted to hospitalize him in BellaVista so his foot could be treated by the wound center, so it finally seals. Good thing, about time the doc did something proactive, it’s been more than a year and Groundel needs to have a healed foot so he can get the eye operation and get a job… And then check up his hearing loss problem (yup, he is THAT defective… no pun intented! LOL). Bad thing… Who’s gonna take care of DeeVa while he’s in the hospital. A BIG headache begins…

Anyway… The Vangie Delivery made it, and I finally straigtened up the Citi account… which left me completely broke for Xmas… How lovely… Arrived at home with an empty pocket and a bit worried about both DeeVa & Groundel’s wherabouts… The big old jolly guy left three packages under the tree for DeeVa, in Vangie’s name… not to open until Xmas! Presents! More presents! Buahahahhahahah :P LightShadow passed by to visit, and so I put Perfume, Scent of a Woman… Hmmm… I love foreign movies… This was entertaining, maybe if it didn’t have the comic punchlines I would have liked it better… But that is the horror/gore/spooky freak in me talking. I can see the vampire subtleties… but the whole nose thing was too toony for my taste… It was fun, though.

SATURDAY: Laundry, Laundry & more Laundry, plus The Golden Compass

I got up early in the morning to try and put together the mess in the house… Right… Put up Chicago while I had breakfast, to get the feminist spirit pumping and so to get awake and energized… Last Thursday the drivers from work made their good deed of the month by stopping at my house and bringing the washing machine up to the second floor. Yay! Finally, after all these months of going for laundry service… I will be able to do the unthinkable at home: wash clothing (because this last week there has also been water in the house, miracles do happen).

Anyway… Chicago finished, I do some laundry, and I put on Number23 while cutting some fabric to FINALLY do the curtains for the bedroom closet (that fabric has been running around for more than 6 months...) so the stuff is neatly hidden from sight. The Number 23 movie didn’t grasp my attention, only actually watched the last half hour and it all was rubbish… The Mage had to work, so he floated away… Groundel was taken by his aliens for dinner and a movie… and I kept on doing laundry the whole afternoon. By nightfall I took a bath and put up Number23 to see if I could actually watch the movie…

Groundel arrived, got two phone calls and the baby awoke… So, I took those as omens of just forgetting about the movie (since it was crap anyway). The Mage arrived before midnight, so me decided to go see a movie instead of going to the scheduled parranda of this week. So, Golden Compass it was… It is an entertaining movie. Loved the bear (with Gandalf’s voice), absolutely loved the witches and the gypsies. The only thing that is turning out to be a real pain is the new trend of doing trilogies… The movie doesn’t fail to leave a good hook with many side adventures for two sequels… All in all, it feeds the fantasy vein… Always something I can’t turn away from.

SUNDAY: MariaIsabel’s Baptism & Groundel’s Hospital Stay
We arrived at 2:30am from the movie, to wake up at 8:00am and get ready so we could be on time at church by 11:00am. It was MariaIsabel’s baptism and we were not gonna miss it! I dislike the San Benito church, the impersonality of the priests there… It was funny the “swapping” of babies (my sister and her hubby were godparents of the godparent’s baby). After that, we went Chinese before the Mage went away… Then I delivered Groundel to the hospital and waited until mid afternoon for the lovely service in there…

Left ER because the emergency room was getting filled with too many coughing people and cannot risk baby getting sick. Stopped at auntie’s to deliver the news on everything… She wants to take care of baby, but I know she can’t. Being 85 is a base… Baby is heavy, already 14.7 pounds… It is difficult for me to lift her, now imagine auntie who has a bad arm due to one of her falls…

So… Made the last stop at my sister’s home. They were already serving dinner, so I made good timing to fill the belly. Stayed until nightfall… took some cake for the Mage and FINALLY went home… Baby had not slept in the whole day, so she fall asleep as soon as she touched the bed. The Mage arrived as I found some funny Thundercats videos, and we were up until midnight. I fall asleep as soon as I hit the bed…

MONDAY:Groundel's Hospital Update, Work & Babysitting Waking up is hard to do… especially when you really REALLY need the sleep… Gotta hate duty… A spider greeted me in the staircase… Made it to work and I already asked for this week’s afternoons off. I know Groundel will be there all week long… probably Xmas week and probably New Year’s week… (sight). The Mage will have next week free, and I will have the other one free, so we got bebysitting covered for the next three weeks… If the hospital stay of our many is longer, then we will need to take special measures… and the Mage will have to ask for a 3rd shift if possible. It all sucks, but there is nothing else that we can do…
I also called the Ponce neurologist to get a date, and I was given Jan25th. Bad in a way, I expected a closer date, but I know days will fly because of Xmas break. The emotion and excitement never stops…

LightShadow passed by to check on Groundel and she told me he’s still in Bella Vista’s ER (Camilla #15), has not been placed in a room, and the doc has not seen him yet. Great… So nothing much about that matter… Wait… She just called again with an update! They will take him to the upper floors to clean his leg and prepare it for treatment… I don’t think Groundel is in Kansas anymore… That means taking away dead tissue from the leg, tearing it with a sharp razor string by string, cell by cell, until there is no bad skin cells left… no more, NO MORE!!! BUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Ok… Next!

So far, nothing else has brought wonder to the day. Hopefully will get to rest some today… If such a thing is possible. Cannot say that I live a dull life, though…

Work woes...

or more of the same shit...

Back at work… Just 3 days and I just remembered why I wanted a career change so badly… Trying to do something about it on the inside… Hope it works somehow, because if not next year will be the last one filled with this insanity. Talking the talk, following procedures, being a good and polite player. Let’s see if patience can actually help complete the masterplan…

At home, everything is quiet and flowing. Flowing... Rain has made a nice pool in front of the stairs and a broken tube has made sure it raised to more than an inch... Who wanna throw in the fishes?

Groundel is babysittig on afternoons as the Mage has to go to work. I arrive and the Little Witch expects the mandatory attention… And then sleep, or try some…

The Mage is also jobhunting, so if anyone knows of anything within the Mayaguez-SanGerman radious please, please, please let us know. He needs to get out of the Umbrella Corp. before he gets the T-virus.

Me… I’ve already got a headache… Was throwing a friggin cable “con los idiotas mirando” and been putting together some loose ends in matters of making people at work happy… Yesterday was helping a director write a letter in English, and at the end of it we included her credentials, where we work… and somehow it was like a happy lightning hit us: That sounds important… Wait… It IS important! What we do here IS important. A pity that the same organization won’t see it…

Well… Yesterday I almost met Madre Teresa… I got out for work and since it was raining all night the floor was wet, and that plus the bad tires that my car has led to my car getting stuck trying to go uphill, sliding towards the side… I managed to control it half an inch before it actually fall downhill… Nice scare to liven up the day making me wide awake. It rushed plenty of energy through me, true story.

Since the game was aborted on Saturday, went with the Mage & Deedee to see El Calvo. He was doing his mandatory every-year-is-springtime-cleaning spree. Woah! We stayed until almost 10pm! So many updates, so little time! He also lend us some movies so we have something to fill into the evenings: Premonition, Perfume, Hannibal Rising, Number 23, among others. So war we’ve seen only Premonition… a very predictable, slow and uneventful movie starring Charmed’s McMahon… Gosh! That guy has plenty of bad luck when it comes to his movies! His role as DrDoom sucked so much thanks to bad, bad writing… And this infidel hubby in Premonition followed that sucky tradition…

Last week we also saw 1408. I expected more hardcore horror or thriller… Not scary, and a bit weak for my taste. I think it is a lovely ghost story in which a child makes her parents reconnect thanks to her memory…

The next excitement of the week, getting eyeframes for the Mage at midday… Hope he has foodie ready. And gotta take Deedee to the ped on Friday, something in her chest bothers me… plus the never-ending baba is too weird, even for me.

Hope I get to see The Golden Compass and Sweenie… Is that too much to ask for?

20 days to go

Ho!Ho!Ho!

So… December arrived… actually it kinda landed on us by mid-August based on the media but who cares… The financial deficit of the isle keeps on going up, as well as the never ending buying behavior of the ‘ricans. Plastic money and more embrollo, nothing like a good Ho! Hmmm…

So what’s up in the Lands of Mist? Well, Anthill is the same… Rainy afternoons, cold nights and sunny mornings. Traffic keeps building up at the entrance of the small citadel due to the never-ending construction… Nothing different… And the Comatose City (aka Lady Sultan of the West aka City of Pure Waters yeah right)… Holidays leading to stupid people in midday frenzy heading towards the mass-hypnotic-will-bending superstores… Ugly traffic by 3:30pm, and this is NOT metro area… Ugh!

FAMILY:
There is a rumor of someone going to the states for good with hubby dearest… Hmmm… Giving away pets and preparing the ship for high waters. Interesting, just don’t forget responsibilities like… erm… your daddy who is put away in storage waiting for the reaper? Sheesh! I foresee a storm is coming…

So, in other news, Marisa is cuter by the second, so AuntNita should be very happy and proud. Haven’t heard much of the TexasCrew…

I sent a message in Thanksgiving to some chosen ones. The mage and I decided to celebrate Thanksgiving in our home, so we took the ZombieCrew and my AuntieDearest to Anthill for food and drink. The afternoon went quite fast, and there was no bloodshed (oh, nothing is perfect). Loved the turkey, loved the pie, and absolutely loved the company of my favorite spellcaster… Grrrrr….

DeeVa is doing just fine. Now following the steps of a pirate as Captain Babbossa, leaving a lovely trail in everything. She’s got a doctor’s appointment after the 17th, when she’ll become 4 months old.

The Mage has been a bit more time in the house, doing some surprising things, making me smile and getting down and dirty with the uvas playeras. Hope that his thinking leaps go deep, rooting truth and will inside his brain. Muah!

FRIENDS:
Coriolis has been more missing in action than usual… Seems he’s got a premature menopause or something… HOPE THAT THIS NEXT WEEKEND THERE IS A GAME, DAMNIT!

LightShadow & Lynnette went to Rome and did what Romans do… Literally! At the Colisseum! Oh, you gotta hate them!!!

Karah sent DeeVa a lovely blanket. Thank-u-very-much!

Groundel has been playing and chilling and completing the “cupones”circle. He’ll attend a bone scan next Friday and has another doctor’s appointment next week.

PETS:
Coriolis: Just read about the little bitch, so my condolescences. Yes, we can weep more for animals than for humans… It’s not their fault we make their lives miserable…

Kitties still happy and kicking, waiting for Xmas eve so they get their special treats…

WITCH:
Me, will begin working next Monday… Yay… I know what awaits… All this time out of the flow of the real world has been both a breath of fresh air and a taste of acid. I definitively found out I am NOT a stay-at-home person. I hate housechores, cannot stand the monotony of being there day by day, night by night. Better to pay for whatever… But if the going gets tough I definitively give face and some punches as bonus. Has anything changed? Amount of available time to do anything… yes. Lines of thought and lifestyle… no. I’m too old to change, know myself too well, and perhaps this whole new experience as a mommy was what was left in the to-do list that doesn’t includes traveling. So far, so good. Looking forward to make changes at work or elsewhere if possible. I foresee two more responsibilities falling over my shoulders… but whatever… I know what lies ahead… For now, everything makes sense within the chaos, the mage and the little devilette are sweet and the world keeps turning tides in our favor little by little, one by one…

Oh, went to see BEOWULF. We know the story, so no surprises there… The CGI was ok, not as stunning as 300 but ok… Loved Beowulf, Loved the Mother of Monsters. Light entertainment that brings a smile and fills the eyes with candy.

So… Ho! Ho! Ho! 20 days to go! To naughty and nice alike… Merry Xmas, and goodnight! :P

Chickens, knives and pizza!!!

...
Last weekend was the comeback of our dear Coriolis as the Arabian Adventures DM we love (for those ignorant to it, the world is Al-Quadym). Although the mage and I were just witnessing the insanity, Groundel and the Ponce Zombies were quite entertained and satisfied. It was hilarious watching the DM and the ogre interact… hopefully some will take the hints. This weekend gaming could not be achieved, but maybe next week things will provide for it. I will use my beloved Kymill and the mage will try giving new life to his corsair/shair.

In the meanwhile, Groundel is throwing a modest Forgotten Realms capaign to the mage and me. The mage created a wemic ranger, and I am using dearly beloved Nizzré (priestess of Eilistraee). Main problem is playing after 10:30 pm, as I get offline into La-la-land… Yeah, I’m a creature of habit, and I gotta try getting back to my 6-10 schedule so I have no problems when I go back to work in December. But, besides that, the Mage is quite excited with his character (finally, gaming!!!).

Last week was also the Mage’s birthday. Since the occasion took place in the bellybutton of the week, the celebration was quiet. At least he got some zombies his way, as he is a zombie addict. Besides the usual, he has been working on the weekend and so praising the Umbrella Corporation… But hopefully the weekend warrior theme won’t last long… Almost no time to actually enjoy the company of family is not time that can be recuperated, and it has no price tag… So… Weekends should be back.

Auntie is trying to get into the modern lane but splatting herself in the way… She needs an ID for everything and has none… Next week is the quest for getting her a Voting ID. Groundel needs one as well for the welfare, and I will also get it for the heck of it.

LightShadow (who has become a Corporate Bitch that would make Stacey & Clinton from WNTW proud!) has been around during the week, brought American Psycho for our entertainment. She will be traveling to the Old World on the week of the 16th… what a way to celebrate Turkey Day! Wheee or something. :P

Deedee is learning to rise her arms or at least aim the middle-way. She keeps on the chatty babble and the interest in Tyra’s shows.

Me… Been making the house more cozy and liveable. Bleached a bit my lovely mane, but needs more blonde before I can attack it with my beloved red. Really into ANTM, Heroes and the fashion stuff of TLC as usual. And heating up BBQ wings to get what hunger wants… Oh, the excitement! LOL Planning a small Turkey gathering, and looking forward to putting many many lights outside for Deedee’s first Xmas! The mage has been taking advantage of the pizza specials, and I have become quite thirsty thanks to the high levels of salt that they feature... Blah!

If I keep hearing the chickens song I will have a rampage fit!!! I mean it!!!

New Baby Arrival at 1:00pm! And then some

... Yay!

Sister gave birth today at 1:00pm a baby girl named María Isabel. Another big girl, weighted 8something and was 20 inches long. So send good karma to the newest mommy in the family! :D

So, what's been going on? Baby stuff mostly... Vaccines, baptism, new birth... Sheesh! Now babies are the only fancy news, or so it seems... Now DeeVa has spiritual parents... Groundel & LightShadow... Should I fear? :P

Coriolis MAY be throwing game starting this weekend... HOPEFULLY, if no more stars keep aligning so he can't do so... Groundel and the Mage are in the gaming list, and the two guys from Ponce may or may not appear.

I have no idea if there is bad weather or something, just that lovely wind is blowing at night in Anthill... I just hate that my bedroom is oppossite its course, it is the warmest room in RoseRed... so the light bill thanks to the AC wont be going down anytime soon...

Groundel is staying with us at RoseRed and has already felt the wrath of aballardes and crazy ants... He's got a doctor's appointment tomorrow, and hopefully will be in the way towards complete recovery within the next two months. There is a masterplan that he can follow so the neverending loops stop... Hopefully this time things will go smoothly.

An old nice and naughty witch from Florida has been summoning me and the orc to get some answers. O am glad she's alive and well, and with glee I would like to give her a punch in the head! Woman, get out of the destructive relationship circle! You are so beautiful, you have a kid, you have a job, you have a life! You don't need a latin asshole to rule your life putting himself first, humiliating you and playing around. Come on! Wake up! Stop being a victim! You are worth more than that!

Yesterday was LightShadow's b-day, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY little stinger!!! Yup, our mild mannered soon to be discovered diva is a scorpio... Already given a hint to make everyone drool, will she accept the dare to look almost like Aeon Flux and go for it? (tension mfx please). Hopefully will be able to do some sort of ritual to celebrate her step towards the grey stone during the weekend :D

Wanna see Elizabeth The Golden Years, 30 Days of Night, and (why deny it) Saw4. Will definitively like to finish watching Resident Evil Apocalypse...

Want the blood to return to my hair, so maybe Halloween will be perfect for a Bloody Mary. Thinking of doing something else, but don't know if I should keep my hair long or chop it manga style... Choices, choices... I just know that by now braids are really boring me...

Pica-pica is in the air, bills keep coming, Deeva keeps demanding, work starts withing a month and a week, ghosts keep on being ghostly, friends have been friendly-er and I am really wondering about some people with some backgrounds that may have been overrated...

Raven keeps running from her hits, a big shame after such a long storyline... She still thinks little of herself, and I had always thought so high in contrast to that. What is the point of words without action? A lesson she still has to learn. I am to decide who is useful around me, if I ever used such a term... I am too much of a do-it-yourselfer, so in my case that doesn't apply. I share life, I share time and I share caring. I help as long as I can, going to some extremes that most may think stupid from me... I preech trust, loyalty, faith, love... I do all of those. No double side, as anyone who knows me can tell without thinking twice about it.

Years have taught me to stop being quiet and say things to your face... Brooding on ideas and points of view is a waste of time. I only wish people would let me decide for myself when my point of view is center stage, not try russian-roulette and make decitions for me. When I do and say things about a matter that targets soemone close to me, I have every right to do so because I have put my whole life into a honest labor of friendship and love. I am extreme, yes... all or nothing... very truthfull and blunt. That's why most people don't like me. When I fuss with or about someone, being unpolite is not an issue... Call it tough love. Someone who knows where you come from should know better... should know why some words should be said because they matter, should not doubt your genuine feelings and interest on daily stupid events... Enough said.

Got nice red devilish horns for some Halloween kitty pics, maybe for DeeVa. O may don my dear daily costume, or become a devilette for a change... Gotta see in which mood I'm in on the witching day...

The Mage... keeps pushing buttons in his witty way, keeps on being thoughtful and kind, keeps on picking up the pieces left by long days and even longer nights. Always bringing a smile to my face, neverending hope to my heart. He's making me go soft... Damnit!

Summing it up...

blah, blah and some coo's

Some hybernation at Anthill due to lack of funds. Some mandatory visits to doctors, to familiars and to Church. Some catching up with old favorites, crafts and new favorites (for some reason I am very hooked on ANTM and of course JLU). Taking care of Diva, cleaning the house and taking care of Diva again... La-la-la...

Christening of Diva should be in November, official date shall be disclosed soon.

Happy UnHalloween!!!!

o algo... LOL

Oh! We went to see STARDUST two Saturdays ago! Loved the movie! More than what I expected, you gotta love DeNiro! :D

Last week:
-Pediatrician on Friday, Diva is fine and now weights a wooping 12.02 pounds and has a height of 22 inches... Groundel went with us, later on to a shopping adventure as well. Gotta get that LF-octopus for Diva maybe for Xmas...

-Baby Shower of my sister on last Sunday. Many people, MANY people from her hubby's family, me from her side. She should deliver around Nov 1, but I'm thinking that it will be a witchy girl. Her name is Maria Isabel, btw

Monday: Attack of the spooky spiders... Seems they are getting ready for Halloween too...

Tuesday: Quick trip to get kitties food at night. Fortunately the mage had the time after lunch off, so he was home early to help me complete the task...

Looking for a baptism attire for Diva... Expect it to be on October 21st. Also looking for her 1st Halloween costume... And her vaccine shots are due next 17th.

Me, thinking of dying my hair but looking for a different haircut. Still afraid of short hair... Sorted some pictures, photo albums organized, assigning things to propper places, and going insane in RoseRed as I cannot do much thanks to money matters and Diva's crying. May have a Christening gathering after the ceremony, and a small Halloween thinguie the week after to at least dress up this year.

Coriolis attempted a game start (good shot, hopefully we will all gather SOON!). LightShadow still a corporate client service zombie slave. Groundel lightening up a bit at least with Diva (Wow, he makes her smile... and she DOESNT smile!). Cook called to let me know a coworker will donate something for Diva... And I guess Raven is nevermore (pun deliberately intended). Gotta see what ElCalvo is up to...

So Diva sleeps, kitties are no longer hungry and everything is peaceful and quiet in Anthill... and Neverland...

One thing down!

99 to go...

So... the week has been hectic, days keep flying away...

SUNDAY: Coriolis B-day... Not that it could be celebrated at all (para variar). The string of bad events included my car's rear leaking water heavily, my glasses breaking, the washing machine not spinning so I had to finish every item by hand, getting home to some annoyances... Long, draining day. Next!

MONDAY: Tired, monitoring the bathroom progress... obeying Deedee's comands... Ugh! Long, LONG day!

TUESDAY: Picked up Groundel early in the morning so I could do a bit more in the day... Went to WIC, to auntie's, to the Town Center, home to check the bathroom job, got some cleaning stuff at the nearby shopping center, delivered Groundel, bought food for the Mage, delivered the food, and made it home... Amen! Long day that left me comepletely drained.

WEDNESDAY: Slept a bit almost until 10am... Just watched TV, responded to all pf Deedee's demands, and tried sleeping in the afyernoon after taking some allergy medicine... LightShadow passed by to visit us... Oh, and she delivered food! Real food! Oh, yes, milk and Cheerios are ok but kinda lack in taste... Thank-u!!!

THURSDAY: Went to pick up Groundel, who invited to lunch and later on helped with some upholstering. Played some old LP's (yup, you read well... La Pandilla, Chespirito, amd other of my childhood favorites...), cooked something to feed the Mage, delivered Groundel, delivered the food, and got home for some serious Deedee time.

FRIDAY: The bathroom was FINALLY finished today, and the windows were FINALLY drilled... Amen. Gotta cleanup with some clorox in the weekend to dispose of the dust and yucky stuff. Gotta get a toilet seat and the half-bent shower curtain tube... And somewhere along the way see if he electrician can come light up the cabinet... But it should be at least usable by Sunday. I'm happy there's no more flowers in there!

WEEKEND PLANS: Tonight will hopefully see Halloween so I can actually talk about it... Will also try finishing Hairspray (found it boring)... So, tomorrow we will (maybe) finally go and see Stardust, and with any luck actually get to play some AlQuadym if Coriolis shows up... On Sunday we shall cleanup the blue bath, finish the sofa, and hopefully rest a bit more... Oh, and get the date for the baby's Christening reunion, so it can finally be done maybe in October's 1st or 2nd week...

Got a doctor's appointment on Monday, and another on Thursday... More excitement for the weeks ahead, yipee...

Anyone up to dressing up for Halloween? Yeah, think about it now so you actually do so when the week arrives. I wanna do something... Next year I hope I can finally go to the Horror Nights! Even as a weekend horror getaway...

Letter to an insect

...

It is funny when insects try to make comebacks to bite, and they don't really have much arguments.

Lady Death:

You live in EL CARAJO, so spare me your drama. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. You don't like mine, don't read it. Your lazy ass gave me enough proof of what to expect from you, who you are and how small your mind and aspirations are. You wanted a man to carry YOU around as a little pampered princess, you got him and that's great... Just beware of showing off your true colors so easily, life has a nice way of coming back at you.

Spare me your martyr speech: You have made no sacrifices, you make choices based on convenience. This from the same person that vented of how much she cared about her brother, about how she would take care of him no matter what... It was easy saying that when he was in a hospital, with your family as an audience. But it has been me all this time who has taken care of him, because I care. You gave a roof because your family gave you no other choice... And the roof is not yours anyway... thanks to your mother's disability you got a good apartment, and absentmindedly let go of it. Now the roof which is not your house, really, belongs to someone on whom you depend for everything... So much for being so independent, so much for venting so much brain, so much skill, so much smarts...

You waste youth, you waste a degree that you got for nothing (as you are not even interested in working), and in the shit you are in you drag your mother and Steve without taking them into account in anything. Bravo! It will be interesting to see when you wake up an smell the coffee...

Steve is a burden for you? He has never been a burden for me. He is family to me. While you gave blah blah, I did many sacrifices for him. And still do. I offered my house, it is HIM who has a problem with Anthony and so HE declined, so you know what to do with your words. If you have PMS or are having a bad day, take your shit on someone else, not on someone who even helped you giving you shelter, food, good advice, and even clothing... and you dared to bite badly. For hating hypocrites, you are damn good at being one.

Tales from Anthill

...

Wednesday had my first official drive alone with Deedee... Went to visit Groundel at the far away place that holds his new dwelling... And I mean it, it's far away! How to screw up someone's life... Lovely...

Thursday spent the whole day at home, felt too tired... the usual.

Friday had a visit from my sister. She's 33 weeks pregnant, expecting by Nov 1. she's gonna have a lottle witch, the irony! That date would have been perfect for Deedee... Oh, well...

Contractor still in the making of the bathroom... Las baterías Energizer duran, y duran...

Don't know if there will be a first game this weekend. I just know that tomorrow is Coriolis birthday, so WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Happy B-day, kbronzote! :P

In & Out

...

Hectic days, chaotic nights, days flying by, some frustration, some awe, some elation, some marvel... The week in rock:
- May baptize Deedee next Saturday, if all stars align properly
- RoseRed still under construction. Thanks to that I'm with constant allergy and runny nose. Hoping it's not a cold, but it adds up badly to my feeling-loke-crap status
- Not much time to do anything, just help Deedee, and try sleeping in the breaks
- Grandmothers very happy in the end
- Groundel still grounded somewhere in City-of-Hills... Being trying to call him to no avail...
- Coriolis got a roof done, still not satisfied (duh)...
- The Mage starts working today... That's great financially speaking. And it's the pits for me, he seems to be a great calming factor on Deedee... Let's hope I survive this crashing-in week
- The Mage also has a Statistics test tomorrow, please send good karma his way!
- Me... Just being me. Same old same old, with high stress factors and lack of rest... Dont need to be at my lovely job to keep up the feeling... But underneath the grumpyness and curses, it is all fuzzy and blisful at least within. Home is where the heart is, and turns out that between the Mage and Deedee it is a perfect home. It is all a constant clash of thoughts, and I do miss my old way of living (you can take the mistress out of the darkness but you can't take the darkness out of the mistress)... I wish the mage would get into the darkside, but that's not him. And I respect his ways even if they bother me. Me, I wish I could have a way to share my line of thought without being dramatic, but that's me... The show goes on.

Lightspeed...

zoom in, zoom out

Days pass faster than a speeding bullet... In the meanwhile, the day passes slowly at night and so-so when the sun is burning. Updates:

FAMILY

Auntie going back to her basic bipolar self... One day she hates me, and the next she loves me. Whatever. We lasted one week under her roof after the Cesarean... I don't know what was so irritating: Me, the baby, the mage, a combination of all... Whatever. So When the second week began we moved to Anthill, which is istill under construction but... well... better to go up and down stairs than to be screamed at 24/7... Visited auntie during the week and she seemed happy. Ok... Who's filming this movie? Hmph?

Mommy's b-day was on the 24th, so we passed by for some minutes to say hi and show Deirdre off. During last week she left a little gift for Deedee at auntie's, she passed by the same day we left home. We may pass by today to give her a wedding picture that FINALLY arrived.

The Mage: As a daddy he is thrilled, happy and very busy, facing sleepless nights and busy days. My hero! :X Trying to keep college classes at bay, but still looking for a statistics calculator... He needs one for his Statistics II class, desperately!

Deedee: Little Deirdre sleeps almost each 4 hours, enjoys keeping us awake at 1:00 am and at 4:30 am... Got her ears poerced last Wednesday, so now she has red laser beams on the sides. Sporty onesies on weekdays, Sunday dressed as a DIVA! Yay!

FRIENDS

Coriolis still climbing the corporate ladder at least in theory... Friends in high places (make it impressed friends) may turn the tide for him... Fingers crossed, he busts his ass at work, so he deserves the cash. He has been the voice of the real world all these days. At least someone besides the mage brightens my day!

Groundel lost in translation in the Ciudad de las Lomas... His new dwelling has crappy celular reception and so we are facing serious communication woes. Hopefully I'll be able to pass by when I get better and I can actually drive.

LightShadow sending disturbing news about spiders invading texas, o algo. LOL Working girl is the main Fantastic Four female of honor. Yay!

Cook's birthday was last Wednesday, and I knew nothing about it. Gotta figure out what to do for her, she's been too nice and helpful. today she is in the capital, so whatever has to wait for a weekday.

HOME

RoseRed still has a bathroom in the making... All tiles are down, now only to wait for the guy to put them up. Finally got the white toilet, and we figured out the cistern throws water upstairs, only to the shower. Also, the water from the A/C somehow is getting to the first floor, and it damaged a bit one of the diningroom's chairs... Gotta get some barnish polythinguie to fix the damage... The ceiling fans are FINALLY up, ome of the antique chandelliers is up, only the kitchen rack, and addition, and the outdoor lights to go. Whee o algo.

ME

Feeling isolated from reality and the world. Sad about not having Groundel around, missing him terribly. All these days have been for visiting doctors, getting paperwork done, and staying at home trying to keep up with baby. Tired, grumpy, frustrated, achy. The C-section scar is healing well outside, but giving some pains from the inside... Slowly going back to my old self, amen. Angry at times, mad almost 24/7... The usual. Maybe it all has an enhancement of the so-called "baby blues"...

The mage has been on charge of most things... taking care of me, of Deedee, of house chores, of food... He looks exhausted most of the time. His help is deeply appreciated. Not every male in this island would do all he has been doing ever since Deedee arrived... and even before. I am glad he is at my side, even if sometimes his over-protective mature gets to independent me... Love is true.

So... Clouds arrived as usual, thunder is heard and heralds heavy rain (as it happens everyday in the afternoon here in Anthill). So that also means i must leave the cyber-realm once more because I don't want to fry the PC. So... Later, kiddies!

BIRTH...

a week later...

Been out of my house, with no internet, no connection with the world... And will be that way until perhaps next weekend. It all depends on what is achieved in RoseRed during next week, and how the gash in my belly heals.

Well, last Friday I had the Cesarean that brought Deirdre, the NEW DIVA, into this world. Stayed in the hospital until Monday, when they finally released me... Been confined to a crowded room at Auntie's, at least the A/C and pillows have been cozy... Actually it's more like the mage has made it all cozy and bearable... Little deirdre is not so little... She didnt look like a larva when she came into the world, but as a 4 weeks baby... so imagine... No wrinkles, no weird shapes... She came out as you see babies been born in movies. So, the girl definitively looks very much like mommy, that's quite spooky! No, I didn't clone me! Up until now her eyes look greyish, let's see to what color they turn after a few more weeks... She's lovely, and already has become more atuned with daddy...

Have seen most of my lovely crewmates, with some unexpected additions. Groundel, Lightshadow & Coriolis went to visit me in the hospital. The mage's mom & sisters went by, as well as my mother and auntie. And Cook 7 Cook, two coworkers, visited on Sunday. During the week Coriolis have kept me entertained by phone, Groundel has tried to make contact with the few minutes he has, LS visited yeaterday and even my sister appeared on Wednesday night. Got a card from Vangie and a card from my father (A babyshower card... erm... a bit late? Oh, whatever, not that Deedee had one anyway...). And today finally finished the baby's inscription.

So... Next Monday got a gyn appointment to take away the stitches, gotta go to WIC and my medical plan, and gotta visit the pediatrician on Wednesday. In the house, the bathroom upstairs is in process... and the electrician is suppossed to go on Monday to start his work. My car also misbehaved last week, so had to repair some of it yesterday... Money came in, money went away as easily... The usual...

Tomorrow is the mage's Confirmation at 7pm. Gotta find out when are baptisms performed.

Baby is happy, locking, not letting daddy sleep at nights, not letting mommy rest by day, and utilizing charming spells to get her way... Me... Feeling quite crappy after the whole experience, but at the same time quite happy because me, the mage, and little Deirdre all together make a beautiful mix for a happy and blissful family and home.

Thanks to all of you who have been the supporting cast for so long, and still keep on standing at our side!

Storm in the horizon...

and Deirdre's birth NEXT FRIDAY! (2 days from NOW)

Yup... Will hybernate at the Concepción Hospital on Friday 17th so Deirdre's birth can be induced, hopefully without a Cesarean (the place is located at the famed Ciudad de las Lomas. Lovely! That's one of my favorite cities within Macondo). Up until now, everything is fine, just the doctor thinking it's time to bring Deirdre into this world because of the high-risk yadda yadda. Don't want a humongous baby that will force an operation, wanna give it a chance to come into the world naturally... If possible. So... Expect baby Deirdre by Friday night or Saturday... Yay! A Leo! I love it when a plan comes together!

A storm-hurricane-whatever is in view, so there is also a storm watch in the isle... It is expected to pass by the South of the isle on Saturday... Happy happy joy joy... Deirdre had to bring chaos nearby... Sheesh! Hopefully we will only get some rain, but those things are unpredictable... so everyone must prepare for a hurricane (and the news said it is cathegory 2).

I wanted to see Stardust... Oh, well...

The mage is quite excited and quite nervous. I am glad that in 2 days I'll be able to actually breathe! Everything is going fast... as usual with us. Gotta fasten the seatbelts!

Rough edges

...

Crappy slow weekend. Friday was entertaining, at least. Went with Groundel and LightShadow to eat at a local pizza place, indulging myself with a nice mofongo with real meat and veggie soup. Yummy! Went to bed as soon as I got home. The mage woke me up after midnight, so I caught a glimpse of WhatNotToWear and AModelLife.

On Saturday the windows guy appeared and finished up issues with concrete and other windows problems. Went with the mage to eat out, to my favorite grilled chicken place. After a hearty lunch, we went to see Rush Hour 3. (Umm, a nice rental... really). I foresee this shall be my last movie outing, didn't felt too well afterwards. Nauseous, tired and very drained. Waited in the car while the mage got some necessary kitty stuff. Called Groundel and then organized the cel's contact list... We finally arrived home after 8pm. Watched Bone Collector… sort of… I found it was boring enough to make me very sleepy.

On Sunday I was feeling bad enough, and didn't felt like getting out of the house. So, it was basically a “be a couch potato” day. The mage brought the munchkin for a while, then delivered her home. We had dinner while watching First Contact, and then to bed.

Today, getting up was beyond being a drag… Arrived a bit late at work, not that anyone minded… Not much to do here, anyway… Entertained myself trying to see if an interesting job post appears… but no luck on that matter. I’ll seriously start a job hunt in September. I would prefer changing the agency so I don’t loose the time that I’ve been working in government, but… chances, chances… And if I get a nice job offer from the private sector, enhanced by a career change, then c’est la vie! I need to get experience supervising or being a manager. Either that, or getting a work-at-home job.

Coriolis should be moving his kabooze in Las Vegas. Well, actually he should be enjoying a training, and maybe moving his kabooze at night. LOL Whatever. Hope he survives the heat.

LightShadow began her new job today, hopefully her eye thing will get better in the process. That one needs a week in a zen spa on the Far East, disconnected from civilization, family and cats so she gets total and complete rejuvanation. Well, at least she has an Italy thing around the corner, that should count as a retreat of sorts... :P

Groundel will stay for another week "home alone", sort of... He'll soon be moving with everyone else to San Germán. He finally got his medical card, but needs to get an updated ID to get the food card... So that's a new story... He needed to find a way to get to BellaVista for completing his foot treatment, but has found no way to get there... no car, no money... so, "la aldea sigue ahí"... And with me in my current situation, my taxi services cannot be utilized for the next 2 months at least... I warned him to get things done fast, but he got sluggish. Now, more time has to pass...

Feeling: Very tired, a bit sad, a bit concerned, a bit worried, very sleepy, somewhat annoyed. Stupid remarks from people, stupid obvious observations… I just want Friday to be here! Oh, the beauty of being out of this place for 4 months! I know I won’t be bored at home, new challenges lay ahead. Now, if only I could stop being driven mad by circunstance and some people being scatterbrained... I am completely hessitant and even scared of having to rely on some to do things I know I better do myself for peace of mind... The lack of common sense is a sickness that spreads far and wide. Being forced to trust simply because I cannot do things is quite unnerving... I feel I'm in a straightjacket, inside a sealed room surrounded by water, in a capsule inside a cavern that lays under an active volcano. So much for the ideal of feeling warm and fuzzy and thrilled and protected... Surprise, surprise...

What a carnivale...

Is there a ghast in the house?

Free energy drains!

At RoseRed... Completely drained and tired. Yesterday couldn’t attend work because I had a mild fever, plus the last three nights have been sleepless thanks to the little one’s weight and movements. I made it to the office today, but I feel crappy-er by the second. The weather will also be quite bad, so the afternoon will be invaded by more rain… Just as the past days. Not too good if you are on the road…

During the late afternoon LightShadow & Groundel passed by, bringing Monthy Python… Ok, so at least they were entertained. It’s common knowledge I don’t like it, so I just ignore it and do something else. I was already scrapbooking when they arrived, so kept on with that while they laughed their pants off. At least it was fun having some human interaction. With each day that passes it is less that I can actually move, driving is becoming quite a drag, and all I feel like doing is being in bed sleeping. Deirdre’s weight kills me whenever I stand. God… And two more weeks to go… no wonder the doctor wants me to work until one more… It is now and I cannot handle it well… Sheesh! Kitties are not misbehaving much. Soon they will be free to roam the house, I need the room to setup the nursery. But… the window must be finished, I need to get a pet door and the kitty fence outside must be secured. Soon enough…

Coriolis called, and as usual he has the most unique anecdotes… This time, circumstance made him meet Daddy Yankee’s production staff. Thanks to giving directions, he ended up meeting some people even from Primer Impacto. He was surprised that Daddy Yankee had no bouncers, and was actually traveling with his brother and sister. He was asked if he wanted to take a picture with DY, of course he declined. Party Pooper! LOL Oh, well… Fans should send letters to Coriolis so he actually agrees to be in a video, going “hasta abajo”. :P

The Mage got two classes for this semester. Seems that all the credits update left him with 6 classes that he must take (because of so many curriculum changes). Let’s see how he handles those two… If he is successful, he should try taking the other four next semester to get it all over with. But THAT is another story…

So… Let’s see just how much I stand being here in the office… Already feeling crappy and nauseous… Ugh!

The Latest Briefing...

decoded...

Saturday: The windows-A/C guy came in at 8:15am…so up we went… The mage helped him and so around 1pm all was mostly done. The mage also took the ceiling fan down so we could go exchange it. We actually FINALLY got out of the house around 4pm, under the rain. We made it on time to the hardware store, exchanged the fan to see if it really had a motor failure and went to eat at the Chinese place… MOFONGO RULES! Coriolis called, burning off some steam about the last hours of his lovely family vacation… Oh well, either they screw up at the beginning, at the middle or in the end… Families do that as a rule of thumb. Anyway… All the while I had not been feeling well, woke up with nausea and dizziness that lasted the whole day… So, the mage picked up some movies and off we went… home. Sort of watched Music & Lyrics, and Norbit. I say sort off, because I was just laying there in the reclining chair, traveling through dimensions and coming back to follow the plot, sort of. Yup, lousy beginning, lousy ending… I just wanted to sleep. Amen.

Sunday: Went to check out some necessary goodies at Capri, and heavy rain kept me stranded until mid-afternoon. Tried reaching the mage but his cel was dead… So, improvised an umbrella and off I went to the car, and to auntie’s. And here is where the common sense woes begin… at least for me…

Auntie was upset because she had almost nothing in her fridge, even no food for the lovebirds. My mother now just passes by to deliver her monthly social security check, and leaves without taking her anywhere because she has “things to do”. Things to do… She retired years ago, and all she does is follow up constantly a stupid family tree project, hoard newspapers from anyone she knows and taking her new hubby to the mall, to eat and to the midnight hospital stroll. She doesn’t REALLY do much… She would go insane with actual work and chores. And it is quite a big bother that she cannot take two hours of her precious time to take auntie to get her groceries… I’ve told auntie MANY times (a constant fight) why she doesn’t simply call me? She says she doesn’t want to bother me, because she knows I have obligations and too much to do. Geesh! Like watching her starve to death will make me feel better! I get so mad at it… instead of waiting for my mother she should just call me. All I ask is that she does a day ahead, so I can actually accommodate things… If I make time to take Groundel to his appointments, damn, I think I can do the same for her. Isn’t that logical? Ugh! COMMON SENSE! No rocket science, mind you…

So… When rain was over, went back home. I looked in the back of the house to check if by any chance Raven had left the window screens she owed me… Yup, they were there… along with other things that were soaked to the core. Ermm… Along with the house key. I have no idea when she left all that stuff in there (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday?), but I don’t know… I think common sense once again took a vacation o algo… If you have a key, and items that maybe shouldn’t get wet, maybe you should have opened the house (no rottweilers yet!) leave things inside, close the door and slip the key under the door… But ok, let’s say for the sake of argument that someone was REALLY in a hurry… Was it so hard to make a quick call and say “ I left some things plus the screens in the back. Check them.”. No need to talk too much, just to the point. But, the same problem comes back as usual, it is too difficult to communicate or to dial a number. I can get stupid chain messages, but no time to send messages about real important stuff. Brain damage? The consequences of midlife crisis? Hunger? I don’t know… But the lack of common sense strikes back… Why it is SO difficult to do what should be done, period? COMMON SENSE! Not rocket science! Again! (Sight).

So… The mage arrived at 7pm, as I had foreseen, and after trying to communicate some issues, we finally simply watched Dejavu. Another sort-of-watched… That kind of movie doesn’t interest me too much, plus it was predictable, cliché, and I was too tired. Thank God for a nice windy climate… Sleep was instant and a bliss.

Monday: Had fetal monitoring in the morning, gathering of a lab test, and gynecologist appointment. Everything is ok, no contractions showed up, lab was negative. The doctor told me, though, that since I’m high risk he can’t let me work after week 39 begins, so that means next week is my last week before starting the maternity leave. I wanted to stay until the last minute, but I guess it’s for the best. It is a hassle to get to work on time, during mornings I just want to sleep… Went to the dollar store to check the issue about the ATM double charge, and that was solved. Weeeeee! Finally, headed home to wait for the windows guy so he would keep working. Afterwards wanted to scrapbook some, but there was a light outage so... stayed resting on the couch… thinking how to solve so many mazes… At 9pm the light came back, so I just took a bath and went to sleep…

Today: At work. Still in filling frenzy, want to leave everything clear and neat. The morning is slowly passing away, and making me quite drwsy and sleepy in the process… Maybe it is best to actually accept the doctor’s decision without fighting it, being here is starting to be quite a drag... Got a mild headache that seems to be increasing, and cannot bend to lay down my head for a small nap. Just feel like sleeping, period. Gotta take auntie to the supermarket after work… will stop at the finance place to pay and then head to her place. Hopefully it all will be done by 6pm, I just wanna go take a bath and hibernate in bed… The draining process increases by the minute.

So… The good, the bad and the ugly keep being the same in Neverland. RoseRed has been quiet as it seems she likes the attention… I feel sad about so many things… but I know the answers will be thrown at my feet… and the new destiny that will come from it all shall be the best stage in the movie about my life. Laugh even if your heart breaks, there is no use for tears within Macondo… And make things happen.
