Early bird did not catch the worm. Auntie wanted to do some things and woke me up early. As I foresaw (I can be a Jedi when I want to) we could not do as she wanted... Passed by mother's den to confirm she was sick. Big mistake. My aunt stayed there talking for 3 hours... Dizzy enough, grabbed some chinese and arrived home.
LS was waiting to take us into a trip that should prove fun no matter the dark clouds. Visited the "castle" at Isabela (closed because of a wedding), visited Guajataca forest (not closed but dark sky and raining a bit, plus they closed at 5pm and it was around 4pm)... So... Controlled environment won the rounds against adventure. Ended up at Arecibo Mall to refuel our bellies and go back to the shadows where we belong. And during the whole trip we made a deep eulogy for Rent.
Arrived in time to catch an episode of ST:TNG, and then visited Raven. Saw Over the Hedge which was a lousy movie (well, you win some you loose some and animal movies are getting too cliché). So, all in all, the day was hectic with the right amount of drama, action, suspense, fear, terror, songs and couch potato-ness. Wheeeeeeeee!
I have absolutely no recollection of last night, as I was too sleepy and tired. I only remember Coriolis voice talking about beer and the Discovery channel... LOL Viva la Vida Loca, Bub!
Whatever.
I just realized I made no comments on two rentals... Memoirs of a Geisha and American Gothic... So... Here goes...
Memoirs of a Geisha: Liked it. Liked the story, was less skin than I thought and it was well written. Long but not boring. The ending leaves you expecting more, but it completes its purpose and it achieve its goal... It presents a different culture in which women are victimized and must survive based on cunning and will. The author of the book (male, by the way) excelled praising woman's ability to survive anything, one way or the other. Maybe we all expected a happier ending in which the geisha becomes the wife of her true love, but that is not realistic in a culture deeply rooted in honor and tradition. It was a lovely voyage.
American Gothic: Hmm... Ahh... Well... I expected more of something considered an icon... I guess that by the time it was created the special effects shown were something new... I guess the creator was really tripping when he made it... I guess it is one of those movies one should see in group to make comments about it... Hmm... I didn't like it. But it was fun to watch, and to voice-over. So, if that was the purpose, yay.
Gone, gone, o form of man... and raise the demon Etrigan!
O algo... :)

Back into Hell
Here I am, back into Hell. Nothing new, nothing different. Could sleep almost nothing last night. I look like a demoness or something... Just want to get it all over with and go home to my cave...

Last day of the so-called "vacation"
Rented Pulp Fiction and In Her Shoes. Thoughts about them...
Pulp Fiction: I confess. I have never seen this movie before, although is is a cult movie. Sorry, by the time it came out I didn't REALLY went to the theater (unless it was Muppets stuff) and untill now it just appeared as any other movie in the rack. Well... I see the fuzz with Tarantino's style... Kill Bill was just like his Pulp Fiction in screenplay, cuts and even sreen words & chapters. Anyway... Found the movie ok, not so great, too slow for my taste, too filled with drugs for my taste... But watching all the stars when they were younger made it all worth the two-buck rental. I still dislike Bruce Willis, he has never ever acted anywhere...
In Her Shoes: Realy liked this movie. Cameron Diaz doing the cool gal she almost always delivers in movies... but who cares as long as you see her smiling (her only sexy feature if you ask me). The drama unfolds smoothly with the shoe-fetish details. Loved that. I can relate to Shirley Macklein's character in every sense. Always feeling lost in the background, un-loved, un-pretty, un-fit, un-liked... the childhood from Hell with family always teasing about how fat I was, the friends doing the same, and as adulthood was reached getting splatted all over the car's window like a bug when it comes to face what I am and realize it will never at all be what people wants. Reaching that magical moment of acceptance and understanding your own worth is one sublime thing... only compared to strawberry cheesecake...
Today got a call directly from the sewers of the Twilight Zone. Trilogy, after 3 months of complete absence, made his day by giving what he called a "friendship call". Amazing how unbelievable this guy can be. And as usual he asked how I was and then hanged up, his duty of making sure I still breathed flawlessly completed. So, he should call by October to follow up... He calls THAT deep concern and follow-up friendship. It makes me sad for him, as this is probably what his "friends" have shown him in his life. The lessons I taught him were never of his interest, so he cannot really know the difference... Whatever.
Lucinda was to take her boy to Ponce today. Didn't tag along since it was my last day of vacations (if they can be called that way...) and wanted to simply rest. Woke up at midday, went to water my so-called "garden", rented the flicks, got the last pizza of the quincena and went home to enjoy kitties and movies.
Tomorrow, back to the office... which I haven't missed... back to the corner in my world that I hate so much because I need it... No work, no cash, no paying... But is life ONLY about paying? Why can't there be some enjoyment at all? Why can't there EVER be a breeze through my desertic life? Back to the cage... Until next sickness...
Coriolis... Glad you are finding out about your real self... Seems to me you completely blocked out your real entity in order to live in the Inferno. You were beautiful, my friend. Keep it up, I hope to see you in all your glory again before I die. :)
Groundel... You know what I'm gonna say, so I won't repeat it. Stop reading and do it, damnit!
Hoping one day my Lotto break will come true... Tuning out.

El Calvo is alive, ALIVE!
After quite a few months without being able to visit or find El Calvo at his home in Neverland, finally found him yesterday's night. How is the guy? Well, seems that the DaVinci Code has made some things in his life. He has always been a historian and a theologyst with much expertise on many, many themes... He began a few years ago studying towards a M.A. in Theology, but didn't kept on taking courses. After the movie, he's become his old bookwork finding the true tales behind the fiction... What a voyage! Now he's playing with the idea of getting a MA in History instead. Cool. Did you know that Mary Magdalene was NOT a prostitute? That was a mis-interpretation made by a Bible translation on the 3rd Century... Interesting stuff.
Finally made it to see X-men III. Angry about Magneto (who would never leave Mistique the way he did), angry about Wolverine (who is not as savage and stubborn as he should be), angry about Storm (who even Magneto considers a goddess in the comics and whose powers are depicted at a minimum), angry about Xavier's death ( WTF?WTF?WTF? again WTF?) and definitively angry about Phoenix (or should I say "lack of Phoenix" since she never introduces herself as such, and she doesn't even have the firebird aura around her). It's always about the lovestory Scott-Jean-Wolverine... and it sucked so much... The only scene I definitively enjoyed was Scott's death (I really HATE that guy!). I guess that after reading the script Patrick Steward begged to make this his last movie, since they are detouring so much from the storylines of the comics... I think that yes, there is freedom of creation or interpretation... but this is the Xmen, and they have been for years even before I was born... And they kept an audience because they have quite some intrinate plots within plots. I don't see why Marvel endorsed this movie... Ok, that is angry me speaking...beause I know... Consumerism... Giving mutants to the new generation who doesn't know what that is and is not into actually reading about it... All for making money. It doesnt matter that you let down all those followers that for more than 25 years have loyally followed the lives of KittyPride, Colossus, Storm, Nightcrawler, Wolverine, MarvelGirl (the way Jean Grey should have been named in the 3 movies... then Dark Phoenix... then Phoenix DAMNIT!)... The spotlight on all other mutants that in reality came into the stories after Generation X was a very, very bad idea. Let's see how DC Comics delivers GhostRider and IronMan before I start praising them... they stick to at least more than 50% of the stories, while Marvel allowed for a complete X-men overhaul! Why they didn't followed Spiderman's example? The world may never know...
Hunt for sandals finished. Not too happy but, whatever. Today got the things for the kitties... So tomorrow I shall change their litterboxes and spot-clean their room. Gotta love them...

Blast from the past

Today I watched two oldies that rocked in the last century: Overboard (1987)and My Best Friend's Wedding (1997) (yes, on a tv station, I wouldn't really rent these kind of flicks... I'm that cheap, sue me). After an afternoon of sweating a lot trying to plant some of the Ășcares and playeras, just watching Goldie Hawn in all her glory and Julia Roberts with her infamous smile while drinking a smoothie was the right prescription.

Why is it that old movies have at least original, amusing storylines? That's just what I hate about our great visual era... The emphasis on making re-makes of any movie that they can think of, even if the original versions are relics that should be left untouched... Where is imagination? Where is creativity? Where is innovation? Same thing happens in the comics industry... I remember when I longed for great art but it was ok beause the stories made you imagine anything really vividly... Nowadays... Ugh! Stunning art emphasizing biceps and triceps but no story whatsoever, or a recycled story from an old plot that old people will notice but youngsters won't ever know as ripoffs... Progress... Right...
Hopefully will get to see Xmen tomorrow... No big expectations... Just to visit Magneto. :)

Lazy, Breezy, Beautiful me...
Well, woke up at midday, just in time for my supper...ermm... midday breakfast? Thinking of visiting government offices to make my uncle happy, when Groundel's call happenned. Got him, just after ripping off the newspaper part in which cinemas display their movie times. My intention was to actually go watch Xmen3, but then a big but happenned... a longaleer wait line which I was not gonna get into. Sooo...
Took Groundel to the hospital (so he would deal with the payment of the Cellulitis Incident which should be covered by the med card that his college provided). Then tried getting information on mortages and how to do a double mortage but I won't even go there... Next went to CRIM so they would send me to ARPE, who in turn told me to get a number from AAA or AEE so they can try finding a file that was probably destroyed beause it was more than 10 years old. Sooo... Frustrated and angry as the white female I am, went to try getting the right movie that would let me vent off the fact that every route to solve financial distress is off and I will have to simply deal with it even for a longer period... Whatever.
Rented 4 movies: NannyMcPhee,Marebito, American Gothic and Memoirs of a Geisha. Watched two today, the others will be for tomorrow's delight.
Nanny McPhee: Whoever says or thinks that this movie is the new Mary Poppins is in desperate need of attention or simply wants to be strapped down and sent to Mepsi. Hello! I am deeply sorry people... Yes, this is a cute movie about misbehaved children (another movie of brats) being restrained and taught the proper ways in life (yet again)... Thank God I didn't saw it at the movies... Ok to pass the time at home, but it lacks the soul that dear Julie Andrews has. There can be no other Julie Andrews as she is a living inmortal! Mary Poppins has no equal because it is timeless and brings the innocence out of adults as well as children... Nanny McPhee may be a children's movie (it certainly has the colors and simple drama for that matter) but Mary Poppins is for all ages, teaching lessons that trascends cultures, backgrounds, and time.
Marebito: Unhhhh! I repeat: Unhhhh! Ok, so it may have been a nice horror plot... If one actually got scared of what the screen shows... A guy that stops taking his Prozac and who is obsessed with witnessing the terrors that suicides or crime victims witness at their deaths. Somewhere in the movie, while getting lost within the Tokyo underground, he meets and talks with people who are suppossed to be dead, and he finally finds some sort of ruins with a naked girl chained up in a crevice. He takes the girl to his techno-rat/video freak apartment, she behaves as a pet who wont eat or drink anything... Until he has an acident in which a guy gets pissed because he was filming him and the guy takes his video camera and beats him up with it. The techno-rat/video psycho gets cut in the hand, goes home, and suddenly the girl ends up sucking his finger... so he discovers that the food the girl needs is blood. From that point on the film is about the guy filming everyone (even if that means getting his ass kicked by strangers), killing who turned out to be a wife he had, killing a girl to get food...ermm, blood... to his pet-girl... his search for feeling terror, his pathethic life... yadda yadda. In the end the guy cuts his mouth so the girl will drink him up (and so the movie gets an erotic incestlike scene since the bloodthirsty girl turns out to actually be his daughter), and then takes him to the underwold so he faces terror and then they live happily ever after. And why I bothered to tell you the plot, climax and conlusion (yes they are all in here)? So you don't even bother to pick it up. Where's the horror? The suspense? The drama? The icing of the cake? The emeral on the snake eye? Yup, that bad it was.
Next!
LS dropped by to watch the Nanny movie with us. The late supper/dinner was great! I have this bacalao antojo that doesn't get away! Well, in other news, yesterday got a all from the church at Hormigueros asking about my getting married on the 28th... this month... Ermmm... No, you haven't misread anything. I just forgot that almost a year and a half ago I separated that date... And it is a definitively no-no as it is next Sunday! Groundel needs to finish off school first (so he doesn't loose the scholarship aid) and to have a job (drip, drip, drip) so we can atually set a date for that matter... Maybe December next year, if he achieves his goals... Let's see how that turns out.
The Sims2 is definite eye candy, but the Sims1 is definite fun. Old and original is better than modern but predictable. Hmmm, Coriolis, take that advice! ;P
Gotta go deliver the orc.

Twidleydoom or Twidleydee
LOL Whatever. Alice in Wonderland rocks.
Anyway... On Monday was decoration afternoon in the church/stage of the kindergarten thinguie. I lived to witness Silvia getting pissed (incredible as she is a peace & harmony person), as a member of the parents staff said a stupid comment about "balloons being made only for birthdays". Since I know how people comment on things (too many years of experience witnessing the same crap) I simply ignored her stupidity... but since Silvia has been putting up with miss big-mouth-but-do-nothing mom since August, she exploded on her face. Yay! It was delightful watching the action... Well, now I'm officially free of that kind of work... Now to try doing something about my house...
Today at wee hours in the morning I got the inspiration to go back to my redness... vampire redness mind you. The strawberry blonde was too blah and normal for me, I was feeling too mundane (I kept that normal shade while I completed the kinder thing so I would not scare the christian locals, after all they were gonna pay me!). Guess I was born for either this one, Flaming or the Wildfire... Feeling happy about it.
During the afternoon went with Groundel to my house. Finally took my old hammock over there, and it is just plain comfy in the second floor's balcony. I can imagine it should be grrrrreat at night... Anyway, while I watered my almost dried Uvas Playeras, Groundel painted the arches on the 1st floor with primer. I skipped and stepped to count the floor's feet so I get the right amount that I need for tiling... Hopefully will get all the tiles between Jun & Jul. I saw the perfect design at Nationals, a stoney-cream-terracotta design. That should be perfect for the castle theme I want to create. Will go with terracota instead of greys since the greys do not complement well caoba wood. And I do intend to fill my house with caoba antiques... little by little. It is another fetish of mine...
Spiders at Hormigueros are big and flat... They scare off easily, but still... Spiders are spiders, and I just hate them. Need to put some bombs or hire a professional so those pests are very muh exterminated within the house... I hate spiders and roaches. They create in me the kind of panic attack that leaves you very still, sweating and numb and screaming or mute... Good thing about being a cat owner is that encounters with these bichitos are very few... Gotta love and pamper my cats!
Heat is unbelievable. Where's rain when you need it? Talking about rain... Just saw some ads for the BloodRayne movie... It won't be released on theaters, going straight to dvd... Gee... So much for waiting for it... I guess that it is a cult movie after all, and seemed the action would be sucky. Won't comment further until I actually get to see it.
Two more days until Xmen is delivered... Gosh! This waiting is killing me! Hope the God loves man kills vs Phoenix saga mix is well put... Hate Storm's haircut... But as always, gotta LOVE papi Magneto!
Wednesday promises to be an imteresting day, as Raven asked Groundel and me to join her in a Ponce endeavour... If she thinks we know the way, things can get complicated... LOL But I always have a map, and I know how to read it. :P

DaVinci Code
Well, since it was a hot afternoon, decided to kill it off with the Da Vinci Code. Liked it, from the middle on it was predictable but it is a good Clue game. Hated that at the last minute there was a light failure so the cinema made the public miss the last shot of the Magdalena place... Lights came back, and it was watch the credits and go. Lame, lame, lame... At least a miracle hapenned and FINALLY the cinema changed (you can faint now) the intro. It sucks badly as it is not creative at all, but at least the Otra Galaxia thing is gone. Yay! Will try to actually read the book maybe next week, to see the good the bad and the sucky details hit and missed by the movie. It was definitively something else than what I expected.
I don't get how come in the new century they still make church protests about religious themes. Sorry but creativity and fiction is simply that, and if it were true it would be even better, as Jesus fought all the time in favor of women's rights. He was the first feminist, mind you! The idea of him being married and having a family should not conflict at all with the beliefs on his doctrine of Love, because after all he was sent by God to pass what humans pass. It's the female being so important thing, old school catholics still cannot dig it... And I say priestesses would be more useful than priests because after all God has no gender, and the bread in the Communion is what becomes Christ... Whatever. Men still have the power thing in powerful places... Hope to live to see the day the choose a femme Pope... Actually it would be easier to see a black male Pope... And we all know that with the racist core in high places THAT is not going to happen anytime soon...
Oh, it's not picking on catholics... I am one. But it is true that the Church has been made with a bloody core, all in the name of God. Truth cannot be deleted. It has been shameful the ways the "black sheep" advanced within velvet robes and iron fists...
The Omen remake, on 6-6-06... Right in tune with the profecies of Lourdes and of Nostradamus. Cool scary stuff, since after all... It could be true... Buahahahah
Now, let's seat back and wait for the Xmen delivery next week... That Gandalf-Magneto guy is really cooking... You gotta love him in the Davinci Code. He has selected many outstanding roles to bear under his belt. I love that guy as much as the guy that brings life to young Ben Kenobi.
Nothing else in this hot odd corner of the island...

Beached Whales

Latest events:
Thursday: During the day we wandered the local mall in search of a/c as the heat here is becoming unbelievable… Lucinda met with us and so we roamed different stores. I rediscovered my favorite store, which I had not visited since Jan. Also tried to find some shoes or sandals, but that quest is almost impossible to complete for me… the curse of being sz 11-12 on shoes… Went home to dig in a nice dinner made by auntie. Then, to Lucinda’s at night. Watched Scorpion King while the kids finished their studying & eating bananas. Groundel finally did some of his humongous laundry.
Friday: Auntie’s thinguies in the morning, then to Caña Gorda with Lucinda and the gang during the afternoon. It was fun, I didn’t get burn in the sun, there were people from Italy, India and USA, and it didn’t rain. The place is still neat, with lifeguards and the basics covered (bath, shower, even a cafeteria). Love the mix of nature and basics. Groundel played with the kids, Lucinda got almost an hour of peace and silence, and we even saw a dead mouse. Trees and birds roamed the place, you could listen to the birds conversations on the road to the beach. Seems the Dry Forest Reserve is doing its job well. Even cactuses looked big and healthy. The druid is very satisfied. Yay!
Plans for the next days:
Saturday: First I need to change some car parts so I get the ones I need, so the morning will be busy. I foresee I will try hunting for primer so I can do the living room’s walls on my house. Also, need some cement and some blocks to build some sort of small wall for the front garden. Next week’s weekend is the right moon to plant, so gotta have the place ready. I may do some of this tomorrow, if the weather (and energy levels) allows it. If not, then I guess it will be a matter of hanging a hammock and drink a very cold smoothie. On Sunday: Will try to do something different. Gotta think hard to actually achieve that goal. On Monday: Gotta do the actual decoration at the school, so it’s gonna be a loooong day. Maybe will watch the DaVinci Code. On Tuesday: Gotta find uncle to get tatara’s stuff to my house. Sometime during this next week: Gotta reconnect with Nature before the 29th, when I will have to leave Ravy in hands of the mechanic.
We’ll see how it all unfolds

Ombligo de la semana
Well, painting should be over in matters of kindergarten graduation. I have to be at the school the day before the event to make sure they decorate properly. That should be next 22. After that, free of any project besides my owns. Yay!
Laundry seems a pain in the butt these days. Now Groundel has no place to do his laundry because the place closed... Insane! Its the second one that closes, the dark cloud reached them it seems... Me, I have been doing the laundry the whole day since I had clothing accumulated for 3-4 weeks... Another insanity... I should be done tomorrow if I am diligent.
Love the * thing, it is great to keep conversations running smoothly ;P
Saw Mission Impossible 3 yesterday. I expected the same, and it actually entertained/surprised me. The action is good, the eye candy and acting is ok, the story is not so bad... A good choice if you are really bored and need an A/C set at high fast! Yes, almost at heatstroke levels... this summer is pura candela!
Lucinda getting kids ready for the finals. She was wathing Aeon Flux tonight... To think I actually had to see that movie at the theater makes me sick... What a waste of time and money! Anyway... Kids on finals and laundry as well... Guess Wednesday is the "gotta clean everything" time of the week, or something...
Coriolis enjoying a warp speed time-traveling to the good old years thanks to his car. There, you see? Christine aint so bad at all. Thanks to her you got in contact with your roots... Little grasshoper, rediscover your talents and rule the world! Buahahahahahah!
NoName has been lurking in the shadows. Seems he had a change of life that is making a difference. I am really glad for him. He is one of those special entities that really deserves the best.
And this is life in the Twilight Zone during the low ratings season...

Antiques and cars
Started my vacations today. Wheee o algo.
Good news: I’ll be outside the stupid work environment for 15 days
Bad news: No money, no fun, nowhere to go. I thought I would do all my car’s fix-ups but it needs to stay for 4 days at the mechanics place, so he did the basics and I will have to be gentle with Ravy until I can leave it over there on the 29th. Nothing more to do about it, my whole paycheck went down the drain… Will repeat the story on the 30th. So… the day went by, by mid-afternoon had a big headache and took a nap. Woke up just to write here, feel special people.
Spent the weekend painting some more for the kinder graduation. I hope to finish it all off tomorrow so the kids can actually rehearse for the big event on the 23rd. By Wednesday I hope I can go to the house and take most plants over there.
My aunt told me granny wants to throw away some old caoba beds that belonged to my tataras, and I plan to take them home as well… I have to quench my antique’s thirst somehow. That will be just great for the castle thing I want to do. Finally, furniture! Who knew? Hopefully will be able to design SOMETHING out of the trash over here and over granny’s… Need an emergency shelter in case I can stand no more the fights and the hostile ambience…
Over & out.

Todays Blow Job
I am so pissed that perhaps there are no words to describe it. Indignation is perhaps what comes up as appropriate. Everyone hates when a good tale goes wrong, and although signals did hint on some things it just baffles me how things can change so much out of lack of vision and stupidity. Yes, MrPopu, this one’s for you.
You know, yes it is not of my business, but I cannot stand aside and be quiet about it. Man, be blunt and be yourself, but of all the people I didn’t expect you to be so stupid and irrational. You always brag about so much wits you have, about your open mindedness, about how you would do ANYTHING for the right person… You actually GET the right person out of sheer chance, and then WHAM! You kick that person out without any contemplation as easy as passing the sugar… Going back to so many lectures that YOU gave ME about distance and stuff, makes me see just how low you can go if there are no real motives for making a decision… and how you only based everything on being physical. It saddens me greatly the whole situation, and in this one I canNOT stand supporting you because of what you showed through all the time you were with her. I didn’t see breathtaking love, but a comfort zone that sometimes deserved a WTF? I saw her doing everything in her hands to see you and make you happy. You would say you’ll meet her then stay up all night and not meeting her at all the next day because you were not feeling well, or were tired, or were sick… Well… You kinda made that situation happen… and so she had to deal with it... without complaining… too many times… But you cannot deal with her stuff? Knowing she doesn’t hop around having a good time as you do? Because don’t give me crap, you go places and have fun while she studies and work… I didn’t see you giving her much support. It was all about YOU. Her supporting you. Her making you feel special. Her multiplying her time to make a stunt and see you. Her trying her best to make you happy…
You say much about others, criticize others, but you seem not to really look at yourself in the mirror. What have you done with your life all these years? Besides fun. Besides joda. Besides attempts to work while making fun your priority. Nothing too serious about it if you point out the things that really matter. So much talent (I still believe you are a genius), so much knowledge, so many skills… And still wasting it all just because you can. You should count your blessings, and be happy and actually strive to change the money/job thing… You sell me SJ as a fucking land of opportunity, but YOU still don’t have the job in which you can say you are happy… So much for being in Area Metro. You know the vanity of life over there, and you disdain it and judge it… but somehow you have assimilated it in your own life as well. Many things brings out character in a person, and in that I thought you excelled… until today. I stand for her on this one because I believed in you and everything you stood for, and somehow it all feels empty right now.
I feel as if I entered the Twilight Zone, or as if this has been a prank of sorts… You know I am not a double-face, and I can be as brutally honest as you. And darling, this is NOT an opinion, as well as this is NOT me pushing my shit in your face. You screwed up big time for the wrong reasons, hurting someone that deserved much more than that. It’s that simple. I feel outraged that you are so cool and casual about it. Makes me want to show up over there and shove tapes (if I had them) with things YOU have REALLY said up your ass. I am passionate towards my beliefs on the people I care lots about. You are one of them. But LS is too, and it all makes you the REAL bad guy after all. Grow up, little boy. You will be 40 next week. Playing the university renegade doesn't suit your style.
It is NOT about insulting you. It is NOT about taking things out on you. It is NOT about being bitchy. Angry-vindictive one, others can be and do and say as thoughtlessly as you do. If you don’t care, we don’t care. It’s plain vanilla.
I was actually happy and content today. I started my vacations yesterday at 4:30pm. I was painting murals today. I was being fed a nice NewYorker overloaded with pepperoni. I will get paid for this job as well… I got my car’s auto parts… I had plans to visit Lucinda and watch a movie and eat some cheesecake and cielito lindo… I got allergy medicine for free… Had no struggles with Groundel… It was a good day... Until I read everything I read when I arrived home. Mad, hell yeah! Disgusted? Hell yeah! Outraged? Hell yeah! Biased? Hell yeah!

Grrrrls just wanna have fun
I come home in the morning light
My mother says when you gonna live your life right
Oh mother dear we're not the fortunate ones
And girls they want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have fun
The phone rings in the middle of the night
My father yells what you gonna do with your life
Oh daddy dear you know you're still number one
But girls they want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have
That's all they really want
Some fun
When the working day is done
Girls - they want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have fun
Some boys take a beautiful girl
And hide her away from the rest of the world
I want to be the one to walk in the sun
Oh girls they want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have
That's all they really want
Some fun
When the working day is done
Girls - they want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have fun,
They want to have fun,
They want to have fun...

It took four wise men to get conclusions and answers in order to solve a crisis, more than 40 legislators couldn’t do that in 2 weeks after Hour0, or before. It is all an interesting drama. If legislators are to do their job they must know what they are doing, and that rule that let a high school graduate be a legislator is really stray. The minimum in order to be in a charge of a country should be a Masters degree going for a Doctorate. Why? Brains are needed in those jobs, people that actually use their brain muscles and talk without hurting each other and solve anything. Now we have to see what cancer Rosello has to say or do today, since he is in a vendetta to punish everyone for not electing him governor in 2004. The guy is that insane.
Besides politics, I guess that everything else will fall in place. Commerce was badly damaged by these last two weeks, but people have still 3 more days to shop before Sunday (if anyone out there is clueless, Sunday is Mother’s Day). So I foresee havoc at the superstores at the last minutes…
Yesterday updated the server at Aguadilla. It all ran smoothly. I expect to get rid off all the little things left over my table… Tomorrow at 4:30pm I’ll be officially on vacation. Hopefully I’ll get to take care of my car and to do some planting and cleanup at the house. Maybe will pass by a certain b-day bash if I get quorum for that, let’s see how this weekend unfolds.
Today is Groundel’s last final… Yay!
Finishing painting the Nemo fishes, a couple of Dora and Lion King still in process but by Sat it all should be done in terms of characters. Gotta go do some bubbles in the sea, and create the forest. And the tree that goes in the middle. And man and woman. This whole project must be finished on Sat, I don’t intend to go on spending all free days on it. I don’t even know if I will actually get paid. I will do anything for food, but a little cash helps too.
‘Life’s like a movie,
Make your own ending.
Keep believing,
Keep pretending.
And then your dreams will come true
With the lovers,
The dreamers,
And you!”

Stormy weather and sinking ships
I was justified when I was five
Raising cane, I spit in your eye
Times are changing, now the poor get fat
But the fever's gonna catch you when the bitch gets back
Eat meat on Friday that's alright
Even like steak on a Saturday night
I can bitch the best at your social do's
I get high in the evening sniffing pots of glue
I'm a bitch, I'm a bitch
Oh the bitch is back
Stone cold sober as a matter of fact
I can bitch, I can bitch
`Cause I'm better than you
It's the way that I move
The things that I do
I entertain by picking brains
Sell my soul by dropping names
I don't like those, my God, what's that
Oh it's full of nasty habits when the bitch gets back
-Elton John, The bitch is back
Stormy days, sleepless hellish nights. I think MotherNature is really pissed and is hinting everyone about it. Only a few of us seem to know what she’s up to… Whatever.
The island keeps on being a bad movie with even worst direction. Now the head of Tourism seems to wear “grĂngolas” because last night she said that the world has not been impacted by the problems here, that tourism is ok… Hah! It is so ok, that to prove her how things are people of the Teacher’s Federation posted themselves in front of cruises in SJ not allowing tourists out of the cruise, so the whole world would know what is going on here… Talk about stressing a point… the stupid way… The whole world already knows what is going on here. That’s why the Paradores and hotels have been receiving cancellations by the hour. There are many other stops in the Caribbean that are more attractive right now… If you want peace and quiet why would you come here?
And nothing is happening… The images speak for themselves. One thing is passion for a cause, another is stupid clueless passion for the cause of two people, not the commonwealth. Let then kill themselves if they dare, in international tv if they can… so the whole world sees what this island has become, an island ruled by creatures that have proven to be lesser than animals.
There are many stirs in the horizon… The current chaotic ambience blinds people to Mother Nature’s sights… Beware. A nice earthquake may become quite possible any moment, especially with the increased heat… A hurricane can devastate us thanks to the now common practice of destroying mountains to create roads. Mountains protected us, now there is no barrier that keeps the towns safe along the coast. Hotels and houses built over the seashore will experience the waves in a whole new way… It is a matter of months, really… Political clowns are just the beginning of the end. Lovely fate.
Groundel is in finals. He’s got tests the whole week long. Still no water and definitively no light at his place. And now with this whole situation finding a job will be almost futile. Another lovely issue… Well, in lighter themes, Lucinda’s kids are obsessed with him. His fault for being an easy E/C.
Sinking ship for all of us. And the ship includes work and family. People are unbelievable these days… At work no way to climb the corporate ladder. At home family won’t acknowledge that one is actually a grown up, not a 15 year old kid. It is a bit comforting knowing that Coriolis is going through the same thing. Seems that it is the curse of the half-breeds…
Will try finding the parts that the mechanic needs to fix my car. Gotta have them all to go see him on Monday. I hope that Ravy doesn’t come up with any surprises… As it is, the whole paycheck will be for her operations. She’s been a good girl so far, and I’ve mistreated her much, a little pampering is in order.
Trying to put everything together so I have nothing left waiting for my return from vacations… Got many things to do… too little time…

The Rose
Some say love, it is a river
that drowns the tender reed.
Some say love, it is a razor
that leaves your soul to bleed.
Some say love, it is a hunger,
an endless aching need.
I say love, it is a flower,
and you its only seed.
It's the heart afraid of breaking
that never learns to dance.
It's the dream afraid of waking
that never takes the chance.
It's the one who won't be taken,
who cannot seem to give,
and the soul afraid of dyin'
that never learns to live.
When the night has been too lonely
and the road has been to long,
and you think that love is only
for the lucky and the strong,
just remember in the winter
far beneath the bitter snows
lies the seed that with the sun's love
in the spring becomes the rose.

Paro? Qué paro?
This weekend was pretty damn busy. Painted many things for a kindergarten graduation of a friend, both in Sat & Sun. Stupidity of people doesn't cease to amaze me. The island situation is the same, politial games while tripping... Soon someone will blow something, you'll see! Anyway, at work today... actually working... this is a small sanity break. Yay!

Network pranks
I finally solved the mystery of the stray blinking network. A bent cable, with actually broken filaments inside as I discovered after slitting it open, was creating the havoc that kept me with a huge headache from 8am to 3pm. At least today I didn’t forget to have lunch… I was talking to the cable while strangling it… Yes it felt good. Mission accomplished.
The Black Theater of Prague will be here by end of month. I would love to witness the dream, lets see just how much costs the ticket. Also, Popu’s birthday bash is on a weeknight, but I may try to go because it should be vacation time for me… All is subject to the issue of protests and gov closing being solved. I wont risk my car any further.
Got to fix the car for once and for all on the next 15th. If I don’t fix it, then no travel can take place. And a working car is a need, not a commodity. So there goes the constructor payment for this month. Sorry but no car, no work, no payment at all.
Between yesterday and today what was left of my patience is gone. I hope that no further events take place in what is left of the afternoon or night because I pity the fool that stands in front of me if that happens…

Something lighter...
Coriolis had an accident on Friday night. His car was badly damaged as it clashed against a cement barricade. It was almost midnight, and after a long day that began at 5am he fall asleep while driving. Luckily somehow nothing happenned to him. Just his car, Christine, who had a facelift that mimics its intentions towards him...
Lucinda thinking about Louisiana.
Groundel's leg is better. So he's back on track on routine.
Me, I'm not sick... repeat, I'm finally NOT sick. Yes, something wicked is coming this way... ;) Been watching Friends and ST:TNG lately... I had forgotten just how muh I love Picard as captain. Still got the trekkie in me... Wheee!

Prepare your luggage, boricua!
The island keeps on screaming, but the fat leaders are deaf to its message. It doesn’t matter how much EVERYONE emphasizes that colors are NOT important right now, that solutions must be reached… leaders keep on in their red-blue quest for totalitarianism. Who knew that after all our democracy was a façade, as dictatorship seems to be the air we breathe now.
Yesterday it was revealed how our small little crisis has been advertised around the globe. All nations are warning people about this chaotic island, warning against traveling here because we are on the edge of something big. All the movement done by the Dept. of Tourism, all the TV adds showing the world our wonderful natural havens, all the money invested on making people see how internal tourism was a choice, all has gone to hell. I wonder about the effect on Porta del Sol. I wonder on the effect on the proposal of being the Olympic games host for 2010. I wonder on the effect of tourism from Spain, Portugal, China, England, Thailand…tourism that will now select Cuba, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Venezuela, Mexico, Panama, or any of the small Antilles for their leisure… anything but Puerto Rico. I wonder if the government seriously thought about that effect, as tourism is one of the few things left that brought life to this isle… We have nothing else for survival. We have no crops, no agriculture… Our people are lazy, and won’t bend their backs using a machete. We used to be export kings of sugar and coffee, but that is long past. All we have now is education (and seems that is only for a few people), tourism and political mayhem. And educated people are fleeing to the US mainland because educated people don’t really have a bright future here… It is the sad truth.
This goes from bad to worst. The truckers gave a warning today that if the government doesn’t change in favor of all the people that right now is without a job, that in Friday they will start a general stop. Meaning: Pandemonium when getting gasoline, food and everything else. People are getting more desperate each passing minute, and talking solves nothing… I don’t visualize a happy ending. Just one week of government closure will have a negative impact that will last for years. Everything that is taking place will have a negative impact regardless of the outcome. The tension is high, as we all watch how things get out of hand, police clash with civilians, and leaders keep getting fat. It will all lead to bloodshed. It will all lead to the beginning of a revolution if things keep on as heated as they are. The solution for some of us may be preparing the luggage and getting ready to go anytime soon. There is no point in keeping faith or belief in a land ruled by pigs, whose followers have been zombifyed… I don’t believe that the other side is the promised land of opportunity, but at least there are chances for actually living based on your skills and knowledge and with some stability… Sometimes just having that chance is enough reason after all. Living as we are living, in stress, in distress, in fear, in tension… this is not living at all. I am grateful that my gov agency was one of the few that keeps on working… but if it all keeps this way, the ship will sink as the Titanic, no matter what some of us do…
Me, I am evaluating all the choices lay out in front of me. I have a reason to stay, duty towards my aunt, but that’s it. If that reason didn’t exist, I would have been gone from this cursed isle years ago. My destiny forks either within Tx or within Fl. Alternatives are being explored. I wont wait until it all explodes in my face. I would hate to leave my house and the comfort zone of knowing everything for miles… But there must be a chance for truly living elsewhere. It is the only thing I keep on believing, the only hint of hope.

PR GRITA! and 9-11 memories
I had to spend most of the weekend in bed due to the medicine that my dear doctor prescribed… The only interesting thing that I did was watch the 9-11 special that National Geographic aired.
It lasted for 4 hours, and it covered all events from 1990 to the 9-11 event. Somehow it got to me even more than simply watching the towers going down… I recall that I stayed home that day on sick leave, and I heard something in the radio about a crash. They were urging people to turn on the tv and see what was going on. As I did the second plane appeared and crashed against the other tower. It all looked as if it all was taken from a movie… Although the press tried it best to bring a good coverage, it was more of a fight to get the news first, a cannibalism on one event that simply was and had nothing different to offer but a harsh reality about the consequences of lack of tolerance and hate. The greatest evil deeds in the world has been done in the name of God. Anyway… The documentary was unbiased and focused on facts, and it somehow created more impact in me than the press coverage that they gave it for weeks. Amazing how an idea that took life in the minds of two kids became such a catastrophe. The mind is the strongest and deadliest weapon of them all.
We could think that it all happened years ago, and get laid back under the thought that nothing like that will happen again… But last year’s London bombing was the siren that should keep us awake and alert. Innocents are always the victims, and political agendas give way to terrorism because they create black holes that those who are very wary take advantage of. London’s incident was just months ago… and it is sad that somehow it has been forgotten because it was an incident that didn’t affect us directly. It takes a governor being stubborn and political flags clashing within legislative and executive branches to make people react to something in this little piece of earth within the Caribbean.
And is just that, react… A reaction because money won’t be available to get food, to cover expenses and to indulge themselves a bit… A reaction that doesn’t go beyond that slogan: “Que no jueguen con mis habichuelas”. If that had not happened, the laws about sales tax and the reconstruction of the governmental structure would keep on being ideas that wouldn’t even hit a desk… If this had not happened people would keep on choosing loosers at the election just because of fanatism towards the colors red, blue or green. And the saddest part, besides the fact that this government closing will lead to financial and social chaos, is that on the next elections the colors will keep on ruling people’s votes… because the idea of choosing leaders because of their abilities and genuine interest seems passĂ© in a land that judges everyone by whom they know and bling-bling. It would be refreshing if people actually learned something from this experience…
Yesterday, some bamboos and trees in the small mountain right in front of my house collapsed. They fall reaching the sidewalk, obstructing the path for cars. Where I live there are no other side ways, and the way leads to another urbanization that relies completely on the main way. The thing is, a small traffic jam took place in both sides. People returning home could not pass, and people leaving their homes could not pass. It amused me how people just stared at the bamboos and trees, from inside their cars, and no one would actually get off their cars to move the fallen plants. From the side of people leaving their houses, a group of 3 surfers emerged from their car, which was lost in the traffic jam. The younglings at first just gathered around the trees, staring as trapped Sims that lifted their arms in the air screaming “What now”. Then out of the blue they got a machete and started tearing the trees apart. The firemen that I called finally arrived, just as the younglings cleared half of the way and the people stormed into it passing as if the world was gonna end or something… Even the firemen stared as if not knowing what to do, and one of the younglings suggested tying the trees to cars so they could be moved. And so they did. The youngling surfers had saved the day… because instead of sitting still and wishing they got on their feet and acted… not reacted. That is what makes a real difference. Reacting is shallow, a reflex. Acting involves thought and will and innovation and creativity.
So that’s the problem in this Island of Enchantment… People react. Reflexes do not involve deep thoughts or real solutions. And our leaders only do that… reacting to events, without thinking much of the future ahead of us. Makes me wish some young surfers would take the legislation and actually create laws to solve the crisis in PR… somehow, they have more brains than the actual people warming those seats.

I dont want to miss a thing
Just because I feel like it...
I could stay awake just to hear you breathing
Watch you smile while you are sleeping
While you're far away dreaming
I could spend my life in this sweet surrender
I could stay lost in this moment forever
Every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure
Don't want to close my eyes
I don't want to fall asleep
Cause I'd miss you baby
And I don't want to miss a thing
Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
I'd still miss you baby
And I don't want to miss a thing
Lying close to you feeling your heart beating
And I'm wondering what you're dreaming
Wondering if it's me you're seeing
Then I kiss your eyes
And thank God we're together
I just want to stay with you in this moment forever
Forever and ever
Don't want to close my eyes
I don't want to fall asleep
Cause I'd miss you baby
And I don't want to miss a thing

Juda's Kiss & Hibernation
Thursday: Judas'Kiss. Long story. Seems the activity was a success after all. Yay. Whatever.
Friday: Complete Hibernation. Taking med that has codeine, so I foresee a weekend of many Z’s around my head. But I need it. Either this or hospital, so… Z’s it is.
Its 6pm, my head is spinning and all I want to do is have lunch (yes, lunch) and go to sleep. Dizzy, exhausted, and off…

Its the end of the world as we know it
It is over. The mad frenzy of creativity and trying to please crowds is over. The neverending patience and belief in the greater good is over. Ok, so this can also be applied to the chaos in PR… but no, I am speaking of the bloody, messy job of doing activities for work. I’ve been doing so for 5 years. I have tried bringing people to give speeches to see if minds get unlocked, but no… I have tried happy pretty scenographies that takes you back to childhood, but no… And now I tried to make them connect with nature and their roots… but no… I saw a sand castle being tripped by loose horses… That’s how I can describe everything. For 2 weeks I took care of plants that were completely ignored by 95% of the people that was to take them home. A complete afternoon agenda was clamped into 30minutes because of the delays that music caused, and then the delays of the small group that wanted music to go on forever. Invitations that clearly established a time were ignored, as most people arrived just before midday (same people that dared to say that there had been no activities in the morning, that it all had been bad and boring). I watched as the hosts that wanted so much control to show off actually lost that control, people didn’t respond to them, and the attempts to give direction to their messes by my answering questions were ignored. Soooo… I don’t know if the activity was successful because I had a mental plan and it all went downhill. Maybe it was not perceived by people, maybe I am oversensitive… Too many maybes for my taste. I just know that I am doing nothing else for this people. My office is closed for activities. From now on, work or nothing. No one pays me the bad experiences which turned into common daily moments for the last 3 weeks.
In other news, this island is in chaos and tension is everywhere. Answers about payday are hair raising. For me, no payday from May 1 to June 30 means 2 months of unpaid mortgage, unpaid water, unpaid contractor, unpaid debts that usually leaves me in $0.50… So… The forecast is dark, very dark… The seven years of thin cows are in all their glory. Gotta win the loto and get away…

IT week
Oddly enough, this is administrative assistants week... and also since God has a sense of humor it is Information Technology Professional week. Of course, since I am the only IT person in the Western region that means no one will actually say congratulations except my dear friends outside work environment. It sucks when even your so-called boss doesn't even call to see if you are alive. Whatever... I guess my own celebration will be actually attending the party I've been planning... Ugh!
Since ppl have done their homework we have nice things to give to secretaries. Delegation always works, and so my games girl has a nice schedule of games and the designated host girl will do just fine. I don't wanna have to give face, I just wanna enjoy the ride for once. Since the hyenas are not in charge, things should run smoothly.
Tomorrow three staff members will gather in my cave to perform the Fellowship of the Fans ritual... Many gifts to pack. Must place everything somewhere in my car without getting noticed. Since miracle-donations-lady got donations from Franco, Ricomini and Gato Negro we will be able to do a small picadera on Friday afternoon to close the week. Yay. Now, to sleep.

Island of Zombies
Education, what is important in almost every country in this forsaken planet… is not important in this Land of the Lost. Government now says that they will close public schools since next week because lack of funds… I wonder why they just don’t cut all the freebies that senators and legislators have, which I am certain would solve this crisis. It is always the commoners who pay for bad government, while leaders keep getting fat. Nuke them all!
Here people are already stupid as it is, now without school they will be dumb and stupid... Just cattle to move from one side to the other... But I guess that is the great agenda of politics... Heck, even politicians have demonstrated their ineptitude over and over, and magic wands make them reapear at eletion time! Like this Rossello thing... the guy is insane, not even the people of his group like him and still he has this control over everyone that is almost as if he were a vodu master that zombiefied everyone under his grasp...
Respect is dead. Our lovely culture based on kindness and respect is dead. The Land of the Lost thrives on passional crimes, absent minded leaders and zombie servants... What is left to do here? How can a few good apples survive in a bag full of rotten ones full of worms? It is sad that there are three choices here: Die as a martyr for dead causes (only the good die young after all), go away and mourn your island elsewhere, or become zombiefied and numb. Working this land, believing in the goodness and beauty that it offers... dead dreams. A real pity, as if you erradicate humans the flora and fauna in here would be almost as Paradise Island revived.
I love my island. I love all it has to offer. I love its mountains and rivers and beaches and unique forests... Humans destroy everything. Damn humans!

Boring
Been a long rainy day. Attempted to actually go out but rain and throat made me wanna go back to the shadows where I belong… Ugh! Watched Harry Potter & Chamber of Secrets… can’t believe I actually forgot most of the events in that movie (of course I remembered quite vividly the spiders thing…). Not much excitement. Kyonne & Roxy fighting more than usual. I bet all I have on Roxy. :P
I want this next week to fly away faster than a speeding bullet. The activity is on Wednesday… So tomorrow and Tuesday will be charming days… Whatever.

Couch Potato
Still sick. Woke up tired, tired as in don't wanna see the rays of sunlight tired. Had to anyway, because my car begged for an oil change. I complied. And then back home. Watched Batman Returns and Sleepless in Seattle at the same time. Then some Friends, Will & Grace, WNTW, and some AP... Loved the Animal Vampires documentary... from vampire bats and leeches to the tick!
My cough getting worst by the hour. The climate is NOT helping. No will to go anywhere, driving makes me feel ill. Not even in scrapbooking mood... So, officially, this has been Couch Potato day. And still I feel like doing/saying/thinking absolutely nothing... Yay!

We're gonna see the wizarddddddddd!
This morning I was very afraid, as I know my car is in its worst shape ever... and now it is pleading for oil. Whatever... Resignation when there is no cash, and turned on some candles for a miracle.I had to go to San Sebastian, so I went on my way to the office to get the money I needed to deliver in the Hacienda for the forsaken secretary activity.
At the office, I was in no mood even to turn on the lights, so I just answered the phone in the darkness and voila! Lucinda was calling because she wanted to go to the free trees place at RUM. Told her about my mission and she volunteered to take me to San Sebastian. Ok. No complaints. Miracles DO happen. Wheeee!
As I was on the phone, a co-worker comes to me, showing me something that she held in her hand. As I looked, I had taken off my glasses so I could only see a shape both dark, fuzzy and with five things that looked as legs. Did I scream? Hell yea. All I could see in the darkness and glass-less was a friggin spider. The woman went to turn on the light, laughing her skirt off, as she realized she scared me because I was as blind as a bat. She showed me the thing again... Days ago she had told me about a flower that bloomed in her house and how beautiful it was. So, she had picked one of the now cursed orchids to show it to me. Sure, after the scare I laughed as well... and Lucinda enjoyed the show via phone. True story.
Fifteen minutes later, Lucinda arrived, we went to pick up Groundel, and off we went to our short voyage. Stopped to give food to the poor child, and babble about Silent Hill and Spider Forest. Arrived at the Hacienda, and the manager was not there... Clueless people tried to help, but clueless is as clueless does... The girl came to me with a receipt that had a total $600 over the price agreed. I instantly started shedding hair. After 3 contracts I just asked her to find the manager and ask about our deal, as he was making a special price to us. After 2 hours it all was cleared out, and so we went away happily... I stopped shedding.
So... Needed to go to Aguadilla's office to get some money, but the girl with the money was out... So... We hunted for food. Treated ourselves to some of Martin's chicken along with batata, ñame, amarillitos, mofongo and a giant refreshment. That's gotta be the best chicken in the whole friggin isle.
Back in the road, I began a coughing session that lasted from Aguada to Mayaguez. Awful. I could barely breathe. Lucinda stopped at RUM to heck the Nature Resources place and got some plants... Her kids are gonna be very pleased, they are into the druid thing as well. She delivered me at work safe and sound. I went to give the paperwork to the treasury person, and to fill out a form to get my butt outta there. I had to take auntie to the cursed bank so she will stop her most bitchy weekly transformation... Got a call from Groundel who kept adventuring with Lucinda, helped her get some cells, got her kids and then they were gonna check his apartment to see why there is no water yet and to take the matress from the house upstairs and bring it down. Whatever. I am so tired and sleepy! Dont expect me to show up,people...
Me, I'm signing off. Maybe will wake up in time for WNTW, but that is at midnight... Got a yellow harness for Cyric, he's fighting it but assimmilation is futile. And so is my walk in sleepyland. What a draining voyage... But it was fun.

Yauco & Silent Hill
Spent whole day at Yauco working with 2 pcs. Went to see Silent Hill after work. Another great video game adaptation, they made a perfect copy of the town & sounds/musicFx. I really liked it, not a masterpiece but entertaining and with plenty of the eye candy that I like (gorish twisted kind). Gotta love the girl! Excellent actress at such a young age!
Tomorrow gotta go to San Sebastian and Aguadilla. Maybe take the afternoon out to take auntie to make payments and to give an early start to the weekend... actually sleeping?

Razzle dazzle them
The world is a stage, we all play a role... Some are pushed and some are thugs... some beggars, some corpse... But we are all here, standing or sleeping by or waiting for the big chance... The big Writer is always having fun at our expense... and comedy and eros turn to sudden betrayal and death... but then as climax is reached and all the roles are revealed, what a funny play! what a genious! how entertaining and painful can this drama be! The Playwright teaches a lesson and moves on His quill... and sometimes one ponders why He wrote what he wrote, why He let be what had been... All has a purpose, even droplets of rain... for nurturing life and for drowning fools...
All has a purpose.
From Chicago:
Billy:
Roxie. You got nothing to worry about. It's all a circus, kid.
A three ring circus. These trial - the whole world - all show
business. But kid, you're working with a star, the biggest!
Give 'em the old razzle dazzle
Razzle dazzle 'em
Give 'em act with lots of flash in it
And the reaction will be passionate
Give 'em the old hocus pocus
Bread and feather 'em
How can they see with sequins in their eyes?
What if your hinges all are rusting?
What if, in fact, you're just disgusting ?
Razzle dazzle 'em
And they'll never catch wise!
Eh Eh Eh Eh
Ah! Ah! Ah!
Give 'em the old razzle dazzle
Billy and Company:
Razzle dazzle 'em
Give 'em a show that's so splendiferous
Billy:
Row after row will grow vociferous
Billy and Company:
Give 'em the old flim flam flummox
Fool and fracture 'em
Billy:
How can they hear the truth above the roar?
Billy and Company:
Throw 'em a fake and a finagle
They'll never know you're just a bagel,
Billy:
Razzle dazzle 'em
And they'll beg you for more!
Billy and Company:
Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah!
Give 'em the old razzle dazzle
Razzle dazzle 'em
Back since the days of old Methuselah
Everyone loves the big bambooz-a-ler
Give 'em the old three ring circus
Stun and stagger 'em
When you're in trouble, go into your dance
Though you are stiffer than a girder
They let ya get away with a murder
Razzle dazzle 'em
And you've got a romance
Give 'em the old
Razzle dazzle
Billy:
Razzle dazzle 'em
Give 'em an act that's unassailable
They'll wait a year 'til your available!
Billy and Company:
Give 'em the old
Double whammy
Billy:
Daze and dizzy 'em
Show 'em the first rate sorcerer you are
Billy and Company:
Long as you keep 'em way off balance
How can they spot you got no talents?

Sad but happy
Well, things are flowing slowly but certainly. The invitations are out, and I sent the last messages on who is going or not and payments. I hope that with Friday’s lunch all numbers can make their proper fitting. I don’t see much controversy besides the ones coming from the same people, here at Emporium. I hope that a big surprise comes true, so all the ill desires towards me rebound. Still, this whole place saddens me greatly. I try to keep hope on the goodness laying inside everyone’s heart, but the choice that most make is against that goodness. I keep battling a political empire that is corrupted and that is decadent…
My choice of weapons seem funny, as brains and good deeds for the greater good are not as easily rewarded as ill comments and ill actions. But I believe in who I am, in all I can achieve. In the end, I will have my last laugh. I will make a difference, against all odds. I never thought I would finally develop a mellow patience, but I have, and although I dislike the wait I have lived to see that rotten apples do get what they deserve in the long run… their shine is an instant of glimmer… My moment of glory will come soon enough, and it won’t fade as fast. This I trust.
I hope that everyone gets better. Lucinda was still a bit sick, Groundel’s leg is still swollen, and I am still going with the stupid cough/flu thinguie. Gotta get a life, whatever that may mean… Next week will be the secretaries thinguie, and on the first week of May I’ll do some upgrades to the servers. Second week to tie up any loose end, and the last two weeks will make up my so-called vacation… not that I’ll be able to actually do anything, very broke still… Gotta play loto or something…
I’m sad but I’m happy
Yay!

New old news
Yup, new old news, sort of... Daddy finally found means to communicate with me, and in the while let me know that some weeks ago my two brothers were here in the island for a wedding, in SJ. They told him that my sis tried to contact me but the effort was fruitless. Hmmm... I find odd that EVERYONE knows that I am still living with my aunt, EVERYONE knows that phone number since it has been the same number ever since before my birth, and my sis knows where I work & my different numbers. If she said she tried to find me, well who knows, but she didn't really try so hard. If everything else fails, EVERYONE knows I check my email daily so... I am sorry, but I have to say the WTF? award of the day goes to her. Whatever vendetta she has now, whatever reason she has for it... why get my brothers into it? And my brothers, they are so smart and tech advanced and they couldn't even drop an email? Gimme a break! So yes this kinda pissed me off for half an hour, but then again I came to my senses realizing that after all just because my dad and his wife likes me doesn't mean that their siblings like me that much. Although the old ones emphazise that "young blood looks for young people" that has never been the case with me. I dissaprove improper behavior of any kind, so I am not the favorite one to call if someone wants mischief or fun.
That applies to so-called friends as well. There is this big trend that people only look for me whenever they need a security blanket or help in something... I am so good at solving messes and making sense of anything... But rarely comes a call that asks a simple "How are you?". This year my birthday made me see the people whom are really interested in my life and wherabouts. I spent time with people who honestly care for me, just because of who I am. Everyone that has come to my life to take from me where pinpointed with neon colors. I am glad. I can see who is true and who is not, and smile anyway... To the real ones, be certain you have my heart. To the special non-real ones, I help because I can so no offense is taken... but now I know who you REALLY are... mind your steps and be wary, being kind is NOT synonym of being stupid. And I am NOT stupid.
The real pleasures in life comes from the life you share with significant others. No money or status can grant that. Family should come first, but seems that will always be an exception for me. My family I have made of a few chosen ones that have been my strenght and reason to live another day. I am grateful for those I call my friends, especially ever constant Lucinda and Groundel, both of whom have known me for so long and still look forward to sharing more memories... I pity my sis and other siblings, as they really know nothing of who I am and how much I do care for them. All in all, I am content with knowing my father remembers me and gets concerned with the small things that may happen to me.
Ah, lovely Sunday. Although my cough is pitiful, nothing raises spirits as wathing Lord of the Rings movies all day long! Gotta love Gandalf!
Dyed my hair so I wouldnt have multiple colors. Now its a sound RedSonja red. So, gotta get in gear and... Off with some heads!

Dark Lady
The fortune queen of New Orleans
Was brushing her cat in her black limousine
On the back seat were scratches
From the marks of men
Her fortune she had won
Couldn't see through the tinted glass
She said, "Home James" and he hit the gas
I followed her to some darkened room
She took my money, she said,
"I'll be with you soon"
Dark lady laughed and danced
And lit the candles one by one
Danced to her gypsy music
Till her brew was done
Dark lady played black magic
Till the clock struck on the twelve
She told me more about me
Than I knew myself
She dealt two cards, a queen and a three
And mumbled some words
That were so strange to me
Then she turned up a two-eyed jack
My eyes saw red but the card
Still stayed black
She said the man you love is secretly true
To someone else who is very close to you
My advice is that you leave this place
Never come back and forget
You ever saw my face
Dark lady laughed and danced
And lit the candles one by one
Danced to her gypsy music
Till her brew was done
Dark lady played black magic
Till the clock struck on the twelve
She told me more about me
Than I knew myself
So I ran home and crawled in my bed
I couldn't sleep
Because of all the things she said
Then I remembered her strange perfume
And how I smelled it once in my own room
So I sneaked back
And caught her with my man
Laughing and kissing
Till they saw the gun in my hand
The next thing I knew
They were dead on the floor
Dark lady would never
Turn a card up anymore
Dark lady laughed and danced
And lit the candles one by one
Danced to her gypsy music
Till her brew was done
Dark lady played black magic
Till the clock struck on the twelve
She told me more about me
Than I knew myself
-Cher, Dark Lady
Scrap scrap... whos there
Woke up at midday. Tried hunting for srapbooking micas but they were out of the ones I needed... Back home. Without energy, seems I kinda overdid my druid tasks yesterday. Whatever. Watched In land of the Yeti by Jeff Corwen. Loved the Everest highlights... Gotta visit Animal Kingdom just for that friggin ride! Looks awesome!
Korean horor movies rule!
The red shoes: Loved it! Although it had no english subtitles, the movie was quite entertaining by itself. Loved the take on the fairy tale... Although the red shoes looked pink to me...
The Wig: Nice story on a trivial possessed thing. The cancer patient was quite convincing, the most powerful moment was the images of how the mute sister became mute... I could actually feel that! Ouch!
Looking forward to see if I can finally make it to Ice Age2, perhaps tomorrow or Monday. The first one was ok, but too short. Been told this one follows the line of Shrek in terms of more internal jokes for adults. We'll see... Either that or Inside Man. Dunno. Have to be in the mood either for light entertainment or cops & crooks... Wish they were showing foreign horror at local theaters...
Groundel's leg still blownup. Treating it, keeping it high. Now the flu finally grasped him completely. You can say it has not been his week...
Me... I'm ok. Frustrated that couldn't complete my master plan for the week... but I guess it could have been worse... I could've been the one in the hospital with the cellulitis... Ewwww... So, I hope to see if my babies are alive maybe by tomorrow afternoon if there is no rain. No further plans to spoil.

Me... I'm ok. Frustrated that couldn't complete my master plan for the week... but I guess it could have been worse... I could've been the one in the hospital with the cellulitis... Ewwww... So, I hope to see if my babies are alive maybe by tomorrow afternoon if there is no rain. No further plans to spoil.

Holy Friday... Ants and spider...
Holy Friday. I knew I would not achieve much trying to go anywhere because auntie and Groundel are sick, so decided to move some of the outside furniture… Big mistake! As I opened the bed-sofa I spotted something big, black and hairy lurking in the creases… A spider, the biggest meanest ugliest one I have seen in person and outside a cage… I panicked. My pulse went skyrocketing and I almost felt my breath gone. I backed away slowly but certainly. Then I ran to wake up poor Groundel hissing with wide eyes “Pleeeeeeese wake up! Pleeeeeeeeeese!” Wow, almost a Leeloo double… LOL Anyway… He went, hunted and killed the friggin thing. I had to go out, sit down and catch my breath as I kept the panic attack for more than an hour.
To take my mind off the Spider Incident (lately there have been many incidents to record, huh?) I started taking the weeds off the baby palms I am nursing. Then went completely out and started replanting some old plants that were begging for some room. My aunt had a “botella” that I couldn’t get off the terracotta planter because it had squeezed itself to it… It was actually feeding from one root that peeked outside through the only hole in the pot. I had to pick up a hammer and smash the pot in order to grant freedom to the poor plant. I actually heard her screaming a big “Ahhhhhhhhhh”… I just imagined getting off a corset! :) Anyway, replanted the botella and now it looks happier. Cut some branches on other plants, repositioned others based on sun preference, and made auntie happy as I found 3 orchid plants that were blossomed. Wheeeeeeeee!
The day is so hot I was soaking in sweat. To cool down a little got a Malta and took some dry laundry inside… That’s just when I thought “Hmm, this itches, still pica-pica around?”. Took a bath and as I went outside again I realized I had placed the laundry over a red ant hill. You can bet my clothing was really itchy… Me and my luck, theres no respect not even in such a day as today…
Deciding that for some reason bugs are determined to attack me, I hanged a white flag outside my room. I surrender! Just leave me alone, you creepy crawlers! So, here I am, doing the safest thing I can do that wont leave me feeling like I need 5 tons of Inositol… Did some pc-scrapbooking, posted some pics… and now to watch some movies on TV. All the while, Groundel has been missing in action, his batteries offline. Oh, well… Hope he wakes up soon… I hope he’s not dead yet. :P
Kitties very happy, they have been with humans all these last days almost for whole days in itself… and they get happy because that is what they like… love, food, water, bathroom and companionship. Things to learn from cats: fuzz yourself with unfuzzing yourself.

Trial
Me, Im still with cold & flu. But it should not matter as the Force runs strong within me... Auntie has fever and cold, but wont take medicines not even a friggin panadol. I try to help and I get curses as I was the one who brought sickness into this house, and she just wants me and everyone else to leave, cats included, since she is tired of serving and of everything. Ok... WTF?
Well, I should not be surprised with her stupidity, as when the drivers came over to bring the activity plants and they asked her about me she said I only liked being served, that I did absolutely nothing else. I felt offended because that is not the truth, but apparently that is all she seems to understand from my staying in this cursed house. It has not ocurred to her that perhaps I stay beause I dont want to leave her alone, beause she is 83, and I have seen the changes. No. I just stay so I am served. My kitties are confined in a room, but they are a bother anyway. I am confined to a room because in this house anything I say is wrong, but that is not the important thing...
I am tired and deeply hurt. She always thinks ill of me, and I am the only one who is always trying to help. So I am not the "hugs and kisses" type... Sorry, you raised me that way. You raised me being an emotional sponge that never shows feelings but that cares with all her heart. You raised me believing in core goodness, believing that even if the world doesnt see the good you do what matters is that you know you do... You raised me believing in being my best at all times, believing that I could do anything, believing that I could conquer any galaxy. And so I have deep feelings and emotions, artsy and creative... and I have an atunement with my surroundings that makes my heart break each time I see forests destroyed and animals killed for sport. You created me this way, aloof but real and there, a problem solver, altruistic, egotistical... but able to handle anything anytime... And you dare to say I do nothing in here, all I do is being served. She even ventured that I keep Groundel around me because he serves me.I will never forget those words. It is always the people who should know who you are who absolutely know nothing of you.
If I were the selfish bitch that everyone thinks I am, my wings would have taken me to Florida or California. I would be working within the arts area that I love so much, studying theatre, making scenographies... The day I was born was the same day Picasso died, what a cool idea... maybe my longing for artistic expression is due to the fact that I am his reencarnation... But I wont fill my ego so much with that thought... The important thing is I am a creative entity chained down because of duty. Duty, and love.
My only reason to stay in this cursed island is my aunt. I see no future for me in a place where everything is highly political and true talents are nothing. Here you need good palas to progress in life. It is who you are and who you know. My resume scares the shit off common people here, especially my bosses. My drive to keep on learning seems an oddity in an island where reggaeton, sex, beer and drugs are the most important thing in people's lives. My affinity with ecletic things and themes makes me an easy target for being considered a loony. So be it. I only stay because of my aunt, because I am all I am because of all the sacrifices she made for me while I was growing up.
She raised me. She studied with me. She made me take piano lessons (that sucked), sewing lessons, painting lessons. She made me learn the ways of high society, of ettiquette and finesse (which I would later on mock... and still mock as a matter of fact). Thanks to her I had beautiful dresses for the flower parades, and for my poetry contests. Thanks to her I kept on with the artsy drawing and painting obsession. Thanks to her I dreamed of getting a college degree because I wanted to keep the family business... the same one my uncle (a man that raised me believing that gender did not matter)sold because he could not see a woman in charge of the business. I promised myself I would have my own business, and that is still in the drawers... but I have not forgotten.
Thanks to her I have instruction and education. Thanks to her I have values and a heart. Thanks to her I am an iron hand, with no velvet glove. Overachiever, no one will make me shut up, no one will stand in my way, I still have so much to do... in the core, all fueled by her, by her life, by how women were subdued in the past, by how men take advantage of a woman's character... I learned much only by observing her... a tireless titan who always gave expeting nothing in return... and who is now bitter just beause of that. She had nothing in return. She made my uncle, and after 35 years of marriage he left her for a woman that is not even close to a shadow of who my aunt is. She raised my mother and my mother stole from her. She helped her brother and he stole from her as well. She took care of her mother, her father and her aunt until they died. And she took me in since my 4th birthday, to raise me as her own child. In truth I admire her, and I understand her bitterness, as in my short life I have felt something close to that... but in all I still have not lost my heart. And she has. And it makes me so sad...
I am angry at her, at what I call her stupid beliefs... at her stubborness... She will never acknowledge me for being right about anything... she doesn't let me help her... I feel bound. I cannot be a watcher, I am a woman of action not just words. And she just let me do that... watch and do nothing. Plus I must dig her insults... which have no other foundation than the anger she feels for everyone being thrown at me because I happen to be there. Nothing is ever fair. Especially for rightous women, espeially for us.
If she wants me to leave, I can leave. I have my house. I just have to wait one more month, to put light and move my stuff. And that will be that. But I am not the one that will be so affected by that change... I know she needs me, now more than ever. But her rage and rebelliousness makes her throw stones at me. And all I have left intact is my dignity. I am tired of being wounded for nothing. I just wished she saw the truth, at least just once.
Nothing is ever simple... nothing is black and white. Yet shades of grey get so confussed with the mists in my land...

Good ? Week...
Crappy days, and the song plays on and on and on...
Well, a call woke me up on Monday's morning. A co-worker who needed some help getting to the net... And I agreed to meet with her in the afternoon... How naive I was... As I hanged up, another call came through. Groundel asked me to pick him up at his college because he was not feeling well.
Well... not feeling well turned into a shaking diabetic shock. For the rest of the evening and night tried to help him get better, his legs were not working properly and the pains, fever and chills appeared then vanished then reappeared again. He had to stay the night at aunties since in his condition it would have been insane to let him go to a lightless-waterless place.
Tuesday things didn’t get better and although the boy didn’t want to go to the hospital because he has no medical plan, I made him go. So, from Tuesday 6pm to Wednesday 10am Groundel was stranded at the hospital, with his culito hole smaller than ever as he strongly believed he was gonna loose his legs… Men are babies! Anyway… I stayed until 10pm, then went back for two hours during the night. As I arrived in the morning he told me they had stabilized his sugar with 2 insulin shots, they ran tests and the pain in his right leg is due to celulitis… a new one in his malady list… Besides that, everything else is fine. I just don’t wanna see that hospital bill… But if he had not gone then there would have been worst consequences.
People around me don’t take their diabetes seriously, and that pisses me off. Both Groundel and Popu need to stop the complaints and start taking their illness as a serious fact of their lives. I am not perfect in doing that, but I am aware at all times of how I am and what I need and I stray from letting myself go to extents that may endanger me further. Guys, you both need to put on the gloves and work on the matter! I wanna see you around when I’m 120 years old. Got it? End of speech.
Besides the Groundel’s Incident, I have been parallely sick… Been hold together by Dologesic and willpower. Well, seems that at least the constant fever broke and now I am left with the coughing/running nose issue… Too used to it by now… Weather doesn’t help. The worst is that auntie caught it from me… I am the entity of bad luck and illness in the family… I accept my throne. Now, shut up and let me sleep!
Ummm... did I mentioned I forgot my co-worker's meeting on Monday's afternoon? I hope she doesn't take it personal... I honestly forgot about her with all this... I was too worried about Groundel. Sue me.
Anyway... Finally had the time to check the post office... Bills, more bills... And, taddaaaaaaaaaaa! Got Karah’s card. Thanks, girl! You even made me misty-eyed! (And that is not an easy task!) :)
Haven’t heard from Coriolis ever since Sat. Hope that no one killed him or something… after all he owes me a visit. ;)
Lucinda is venturing on the blog silliness. Check out her Raven Endlessness!
No further plans right now. Too tired, too yucky. Hope that the sun will truly shine tomorrow.

Harvest moon strikes back
Soooooo... Today the plan was to go to my house and do some cleanup of the surrounding areas... They were showing 5th Element, and so for the 20something time watched the movie (I'm a sucker for Milla, sue me for that). When it was over Tomb Raider 2 was next but didn't felt like watching Lara Croft, so down to Lucinda's we went... Oh, Lulu gave me a call to wish me a happy late bday. Cute moment of the day. :)
We arrived just in time, as Lucinda was finishing up her laundry and the kids were finishing up their mayhem... sort of... A hint of rain traed behind us, but that didn't stop us from reaching my house. Over there Groundel and Lucinda took care of the piles of leaves and branches left by my uncle. Diego and Barbie helped me with the leaves, rocks and earth that layed burying half the road that heads towards the back...
Memorable moment of the day: Just as I finished loading the carretilla and yelled to Groundel so he would push it and throw the debris on the assigned spot, Lucinda thought she was She-Hulk or something and decided that if Groundel could lift the carretilla so could she... It all tripped to the side, everything falling off the carretilla... Way to go, She-Hulk! ;) No harm done. Yup, we learned some appreciation for Groundel's strenght. Guess that women DO need a manly man every now and then... (And I refuse to repeat that).
So, side of road was left almost done, and leaves debri was almost completely packed. All that is left is the rear part of the earth/stones/weeds and the pile of branches and debris that my uncle made in the front of the back door. That should be homework for the week...
Left the 20 uvas playeras in the front of the house, should try planting them tomorrow during the afternoon if it doesnt rain too early. Hopefully noone will steal the plants... LOL Well, people do miss the fact that they are given for free at Recursos Naturales... Whatever. Need to get cement to throw a thin layer over the front side, leavingjust the space for the uvas playeras to grow. And need to get some weed killer, so I spray the rocky side getting it ready for trinitarias.
Tired. Got a runny nose, so keeping upwith tradition I should acept that I am sick... still in denial because of all the things I want to do...
Anyway, got to continue my sleeping chronicles... Lucinda and Groundel: Thanks for the help. I could atually DO NOTHING if I didn't have you around.:) Also my thanks to Karah, her words always brings a smile to my face.

Birthday
My b-day… Not much to say about it. Took auntie to Sams and supermarket… then visited Lucinda who did a shitty looking flan that tasted like coffee heaven. ? Got calls from Groundel and Coriolis, and messages from Candi, Joe, and daddy. I guess not so bad… the day is almost finished. Drained, a bit sad, not much hopeful… but hanging on.

At the top of the stairs is a locked room
my secret chamber that no outsider views
for entry is forbidden prohibited
Behind this door is my other self
not a picture in a frame nor a fresh disguise
but my other self
immoblie inert and sanguine
My narcissus kisses exhale crimson breath
and pump ruby to the lip
I stand before myself not Jekyll nor Hyde
not sibling nor twin seperated at birth
I stand before myself unaccountable
I dreamt that I had feet of clay
I dreamt I crossed the seven seas
and when I woke not knowing
I knew I led the double life
All I ever needed is twice removed
I spit in my bile in an airless temper
in this vacuum a vampire reversed
This one who breathes life into me
and even dull mirrors reflect the tarnished twosome
I stand before myself not another me
Not D?eganger nor witless clone
I stand before myself unrepentant
I dreamt of sin and aftermath
I dreamt of centuries laid bare
and when I woke not knowing
I knew I led the double life

Wherever I may roam
...and the road becomes my bride
I have stripped of all but pride
So in her I do confide
And she keeps me satisfied
Gives me all I need
...and with dust in throat I crave
Only knowledge will I save
To the game you stay a slave
Rover wanderer
Nomad vagabond
Call me what you will
But I'll take my time anywhere
Free to speak my mind anywhere
And I'll redefine anywhere
Anywhere I may roam
Where I lay my head is home
...and the earth becomes my throne
I adapt to the unknown
Under wandering stars I've grown
By myself but not alone
I ask no one
...and my ties are severed clean
The less I have the more I gain
Off the beaten path I reign
Rover wanderer
Nomad vagabond
Call me what you will
But I'll take my time anywhere
I'm free to speak my mind anywhere
And I'll never mind anywhere
Anywhere I may roam
Where I lay my head is home
But i'll take my time anywhere
Free to speak my mind
And I'll take my find anywhere
Anywhere I may roam
Where I lay my head is home
Carved upon my stone
My body lie, but still I roam
Wherever I may roam
-Metallica, Wherever I may roam
I have stripped of all but pride
So in her I do confide
And she keeps me satisfied
Gives me all I need
...and with dust in throat I crave
Only knowledge will I save
To the game you stay a slave
Rover wanderer
Nomad vagabond
Call me what you will
But I'll take my time anywhere
Free to speak my mind anywhere
And I'll redefine anywhere
Anywhere I may roam
Where I lay my head is home
...and the earth becomes my throne
I adapt to the unknown
Under wandering stars I've grown
By myself but not alone
I ask no one
...and my ties are severed clean
The less I have the more I gain
Off the beaten path I reign
Rover wanderer
Nomad vagabond
Call me what you will
But I'll take my time anywhere
I'm free to speak my mind anywhere
And I'll never mind anywhere
Anywhere I may roam
Where I lay my head is home
But i'll take my time anywhere
Free to speak my mind
And I'll take my find anywhere
Anywhere I may roam
Where I lay my head is home
Carved upon my stone
My body lie, but still I roam
Wherever I may roam
-Metallica, Wherever I may roam

Or so it seems... LOL Another hectic day. I woke up pretty late, at 7am. I actually thought it was Saturday, and planned on catching more Z’s, but my aunt woke me up screaming as usual. I broke my bathing-having breakfast-feeding kitties record as I was in my car and ready to go by 7:30. Arrived on time for the 8am signup, and ran to my office to finish up the secretaries flyer. I also made contact for the music, a 6-musicians-group from Hormigueros, that will only charge $300 for two hours, which is very good. By 10:30am I had done that, had sent the flyers via outlook to each zone, then customized the flyers for the secretaries and send those as a secretarial bunch. Got some emails of actual computer problems, but one was already solved and the other two need me to go onsite so they are on the waiting line. Bothered the drivers so they would take me to get the coffee trees, and their boss agreed to do that during the afternoon. From 11to midday went asking people one by one about which menu they will dig in the activity, as well as asking for the money they all owe. Some paid, some promised. I will make another round tomorrow.
Lulu invited me to go pick up some Chinese at lunch, and so we also went to Pitusa to get some baby stuff for the 2 baby showers taking place on Friday… Oh, yes, that is in charge of a very eclectic group whose members have been nagging me almost daily this week asking for my opinions on everything (as if I actually cared). It is funny how I say yes or no or u-hum them without actually looking and they actually think I am responding their questions… By midday today somehow answering the dilemma of displaying the stuff that had to be put somewhere else but a box landed me in the middle of the “putting everything together” on Thursday afternoon… translating to “You have been the giver of godly ideas, now that we have gathered the offerings please put everything together tomorrow afternoon by waving your magic wand of wonders, thank you”. So… Tomorrow afternoon I will have to make a pyramid display for baby stuff that should be hot glued into it and wrapped in transparent paper… and cover some walls with baby blue tablecloth mimicking a sky, place cotton mats as 3-D clouds and hang the cigueña somewhere in the ceiling… As if I had nothing better to do…
But enough of tomorrow, back to today… The drivers took me to RUM to go get the baby trees. One of the guys there answered many questions that I made about planting and stuff… Anyway, he gave me a bush that should give a red-colored flower the color of my hair. Awwww, how thoughtful… ;) Since one of the drivers wanted an orange tree, we also went to the RUM nursery and he got those. I saw some caimito, corazon, guayaba, aguacate, limon dulce and Tahiti orange (seedless) trees that I definitively want to get later on. Anyway, we had to go take the plants to my aunt’s house so I take care of them in the meanwhile… Sooooo… We delivered the trees, auntie made some remarks that will give the drivers plenty of material to bother me for at least a month… Noel got his ivy plant as a bonus and we all went back to the office happily… Almost time to go, so it was a matter of putting all the mess away and signing my exit. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee!
I am very sleepy, and the rain makes that even more less tolerable. Guess that today I will go to bed by 8pm… I am drained and need some energy. The week is not over yet, plenty to do between tomorrow and Friday… Tomorrow need to do the reports for my IT boss, and to go get peoples money. In the afternoon will decorate for the baby shower. On Friday morning I need to go get the fans & dominoes at San SebastiĂĄn. In the afternoon there is the activity reunion at 1pm, and the baby shower at 3pm. I will be very happy at 4:30pm, as the week ahead will be only for MY projects, DAMNIT!
Do I have time to even think? Nah. And it somehow pleases me… I don’t really have plans for Saturday. I guess we will end up gathering at Lucinda’s in the night, but nothing else is concrete. Haven’t heard from the contractor and since I’ve had no time to all him big deal… Groundel reached 12th level on the Sims, now surfing the Biodome (looks really cool). Hope Lucinda makes the chocolate mint flancocho or coffee flan… :D Don’t know if anyone else is mad at me or something. Whatever. There will be another pool party, this time on the 15th at Graciela’s place. And the voices say that everyone will dance in the tube… LOL Sure… They wish…
Ok, gotta get kitty food. They are looking at me in a very funny way…
