Hyenass vs Lyoness

EXTRA EXTRA!!!
SHOWDOWN AT WORK ENDS UP IN CATFIGHT!!!
NO ONE HURT!!! FREE TRIP TO EL CARAJO!!
EXTRA EXTRA!!!

So, MsBigmouth made a mistake today, she tried to be a bigmouth with moi. You know, me… calm, quiet, passive…deadly me. MsBigmouth assumed that I would just go along with her stupidity, as people are always scared of her or just stay quiet. She was after all the BIG BITCH of the office, in attitude and other things… She spoke and the world would stop, she always had the last word, and she won every fight... No contenders or survivors. MsBigmouth, the big shit! Well... that last part may be true... she's full of it. At least her throne within the attitude realm has been taken. Another bitch is in town. She wanted attitude? She thought noone would defy her? She thought she could speak ill about an innocent victim? She thought she would have all the words in the world to make a point with her devilish tongue and actions? She was deeply wrong in underestimate calm, quiet, passive… me.

You all know I get bitchy, but you all also know that it is only when I am right and when something must be done about…something. Between friends that may be my true self, at work my aura of FEAR simply keeps people away… Sometimes the shield comes down whenever an innocent needs shelter or good advise or listening ears… But most of the time, this dragon reigns from the shadows in its full glory. At work I keep poise, smile politely and do go too deep because who needs the little people finding out things about the goddess… But sometimes action needs to appear when an offense happens in your nose, about someone who isn’t present and who happens to be a kind, beautiful soul that the hyenas want to humiliate… as they usually do. I wont let that happen as long as I breathe. The paladin in me unsheathed her sword, and with strength of words and plenty of devilish poise, she battled MsBigmouth fearlessly. The paladin would have the final word, as truth was her shield and justice burned within her sword's edge.

Oh, MsBigmouth was relentless, and hinted on raising her tone to me… Hah! I dared her with my stare and half smile. She threw her poison, but my breathweapon simply obliterated her. In subtle words I simply said the truth: She has an attitude problem, her personal problem with the victim was not to be a matter for the staff meeting, she should know the proper place and time to say things, she should acknowledge that others were better than her, had more education and instruction and manners, she should acknowledge that being loud and making shows would work in a short run, not forever, and that everything I said was not because of gossip but of facts that I have personally witnessed over time. She said she would not speak or deal with the victim, blah blah. I smiled and told her: “If that is the case, then I shouldn’t be seating here trying to help any of you. But I am a professional. I don’t have to like you to do something for the greater good… And be certain I don’t like YOU. But you don’t see me speaking ill of you, or poisoning people against you. You speak ill of someone that is good, has a good heart, works hard. I wont allow it. And if you don’t like me saying this, big deal. You said your thing, I said mine. She deserves her achievements because they have been made out of sacrifice and tears, and surviving being around your kind. She has all the right in the world to make the Invocation because her heart has no shadows and her soul is beautiful.”.

Somehow, MsBigmouth shut up. Her face changed, she was mad… but would not fight me. Guess I know too much about her. No one in the staff said anything else… Dead silence. I guess they all know I know much about each one of the pack. I didn’t left the reunion. I crossed my legs, and coyly told one of the other girls: “So, what’s next in the agenda? Oh, don’t worry about victim, she cannot attend. Her boss is not going to the activity and needs her in the office. So after all, the wish is granted. Silly comment, huh MsBigmouth?” I stayed until the end. MsBigmouth did not look at me at all. Each time she spoke I looked straight at her , with the icy daring stare I manage to give when I am really pissed… All with a mild smile.

The reunion finished. Hyenas run away. I just went to my office and put my stuff away as the time for going was near… With the door closed behind me, I cried… just because I had to let out how mad, angry, upset I had felt. A kind soul doesn’t deserve such cruel remarks and treatment. It is so unfair that thoughtless bitches could roam around destroying lives with their ill thoughts and words and then get to laugh at the expense of innocents. I have made a point of no tolerance for such beings. They think themselves the great bitches in town? They are in for a big surprise. The Lyoness is loose. Beware. I can be the biggest bitch of all if I want to, and if my target deserves it. If I see injustice, I will say/do/act. No buts about it. No second thoughts. I was surprised at myself because I kept cool through it all… Playing Lyoness has never been easy, but the entivcement of the hyenas made me a natural… Perhaps I have what it takes to be a boss after all… Hmmm… Whatever.

The asshole story

All the organs of the body were having a meeting, trying to decide who was the one in charge:
"I should be in charge," said the brain , "Because I run all the body's systems, so without me nothing would happen."
"I should be in charge," said the blood, "Because I circulate oxygen all over so without me you'd all waste away."
"I should be in charge," said the stomach," Because I process food and give all of you energy."
"I should be in charge," said the legs, "because I carry the body wherever it needs to go."
"I should be in charge," said the eyes, "Because I allow the body to see where it goes."
"I should be in charge," said the rectum, "Because I'm responsible for waste removal."

All the other body parts laughed at the rectum And insulted him, so in a huff, he shut down tight.

Within a few days, the brain had a terrible headache, the stomach was bloated, thelegs got wobbly, the eyes got watery, and theblood Was toxic. They all decided that the rectum should be the boss.

The Moral of the story?
The asshole is usually in charge !!

Ain't it true, huh?

Women's Requiem

Yesterday was the Day of Women. Besides the fact that only one person, a client, was the only one to congratulate me (I forget I shouldn’t complain, for most I am an asexual entity) it is sad that there must be a specific day assigned with that in mind. Is there a men’s day? No, we need to be reminded that 364 days of the years are men’s days, one is just for women, and even in that one day not even the boss congratulates you… Hmmm… With the constant violence to which women are submitted over and over and over, that is not surprising. And the masochists teach machismo to their kids… I don’t get it. I wish there was more brains instead of pharmacy blondes that wants a family and a hubby that supports them, and to achieve that purpose they accept anything. I pity them. Maybe is my independent, pushy, bitchy, overachiever, nonconformist nature that leads people to think I am not a woman. I’m surprised they don’t think I’m a transsexual or something…

Well… I don’t need a man, unlike 95% of females in this cursed piece of Earth. Wanting is not needing. Somewhere in translation, women treat need as want and vice-versa. The traditional genre tasks dictates men should be providers, women are weak and belong in the house raising a family and being a neatherthal’s slave. Men underestimate women’s work in the house, as family keepers and even more as professionals that juggle everything. At work you see it everyday. Sometimes, I’ll say 75% of the time, it is women’s own fault because they don’t understand that a workplace is not the place to talk about babies, makeup and sex. The other 25% are dismissed as unimportant, ignorant bitches that think they know what they are doing but really don’t. Yup, those are the bosses I have faced, I’m so damn tired of proving myself… At work you are expcted to be a professional and a very alluring sexual decoration. That is what I have witnessed, as bimbos earn more than I do just because they show their assets. Well… Sorry but I won’t get in that list. I believe that if a man can do it, a woman can do it better. A pity most women have been raised by machist ladies who impose an attitude of suck it up… literally.

Will take my frustrations elsewhere. No one listens anyway… But I’ll fight the real enemy, always.

Lucinda needs to travel to the big apple... not in USA, the boricua big apple... on Friday. I may help her so she doesn't get lost. Depends on work, by now it's a 75% of a go. We'll see...
I was having a not-so-bad day, when a deep downer came my way… Now I am feeling quite sad… Not much to do about it, though…

Got news that a girl at work, the one I call the puertorrican elf, lost her baby two-three days ago. She was on her 7th month, and after feeling some weird pains her hubby took her to the hospital. There the scanner & doctors revealed the baby was dead, it had no liquid. She was narrating the whole experience seemingly calm… Well, the girl is barely 18, she has her whole life to try and succeed on that matter… but it is a bad punch, since her whole life has been a struggle and a chaotic evil cloud. Being a mom actually was making her feel that life was worth living, a smile was always in her face even if all these months were a bad thing because she couldn’t actually eat much… Whatever. It is sad. But one thing is certain: She was too young and had too many troubles to actually be thinking of having a kid. I hope that all the energy that she put into that endeavour is now put to studying and healing her self. Leomaries is a lovely young lady that has survived many ordeals, and seems life is just focused on making her toughen up… I hope all has been for the best. I hope she knows she can count on me for anything.

Hmmm... Una gran lección, no? Aprendamos de ella...

Próxima pregunta:
Quién vino primero, el pollo o el huevo...

Been looking for pirate stuff, getting ideas for the counselors activity. Today TV was cool, showing Salems Lot early at midday. Went to check out furniture so I would suffer a bit, me and my masochist side... And visited Lucinda just because I can.

Watched the end of La Academia and I was baffled. Just because Mariana is hot by public standards, she didn't deserve the 1st place... I can't believe that the fat girl was out, she demonstarted being the true showwoman of the program every week... And I can't believe they gave Afid a 4th place when he deserved a 2nd or 3rd... Public's votes are based only on looks, not talent. The usual. It sucks.

Need to go get gas early in the morning, my car is almost empty and I didn't realize it... BTW, yesterday was the premier of TLC's Logging in for love. Ewwww! Corny and stereotypical... WNTW still rules. Discovered some shows that are VERY interesting on HGTV. Whatever...

Need my beauty sleep. Sayonara!

Changing a little here and there... Finally recovered the past old posts that were missing from the list... Still editing, but gotta sleep, so bear with me!

Decisions, decisions:
San German: PhD Psy Consulting & PhD Industrial Psy
Ponce: PhD Clinical Psy & PsyD Clinical Psy, and MS Social Work

So... Which to choose? I'm inclined towards Social Work, PhD Consulting, or Psy Clinical Psy. Any comments?

At work, playing chess... Got letter from RUM... Will see if it makes a difference... Gotta change my career even if it means more work/headaches. Better die happily and swiftly than in a slow rot...

Friday: Hoodwiked. Loved it. Funny and entertaining. Grandma kicks serious ass! At night watched 3 hours of WNTW, and then surrendered to old Sandman.

Saturday: The plans of taking sick auntie to the doctor and to visit grandfather with the doctor were fumbled thanks to everyone’s attitude. They don’t want me to mess with things. Heated argument. Big headache.

Sunday: Lazy. Watched Glory, Batman and The Shining. Also many episodes of house improvement.

Not many news, not much to say… Today, things flowing rapidly at work. Made some plans to see if I can follow-through with them… Plans, plans, plans… To make changes in the house, to get everything straight, and to do the things I want to do in the process.

This seems to be a never-ending week. Been at UIA yesterday and today, at least the days are going fast. Exploring the graduate programs of diverse universities to see what I can do… Trilogy has called the last 3 days but I have not felt like seeing him, his same questions bother and annoy much… Whatever happened to creative thinking and creative talk? Groundel have two tests today, hopefully he will nail them. Coriolis is completing a disappearing act, I wonder if snakes ate him… And LS is burying herself with college. Everyone has been really busy, myself included.

Don’t feel like writing much… I just wanna go home. The cough is worst by the minute and I don’t feel well at all.

Just as I mentioned to someone, seemed that we were all in druid mode this weekend. Went on Sat to see how my house is, and the sábila plants that my uncle took there were almost burnt. I told him that he placed them in a wrong spot but he never listens… Well, went to aunties, got two big pots and on Sun went back to plant them and take them with me. Yay! They might be saved… Also, took some helechos at aunties and placed them on pots. Gonna do different pots so I have what I need to make the garden I want in the fron of the house. Gotta write to the Wilderness gov thingie to get uvas playeras for free, and visit RUMs plant station. Whatever… Little by little, since I aint living in the house until it is completely done…

Speaking of getting it done, seems there is a leak that the contractor had “fixed” that is leaking again. I have a feeling they left it with the plastic rubber connector and that the right thing was to put copper and weld it… How come I know that? Well, gotta call the guy and make things happen. Still have not received the light certificate, until I do I am not paying my dear installments. Let’s see how that goes…

Monday, long day. Cleaning, laundry… I need a vacation from the weekend.

Thursday, February 16, 2006

I am beyond mad or upset. I can’t believe the ineptitude that my dear mother has when handling important issues. Today early in the morning she calls to ask what to do with my grandfather who had a pain. I was baffled. I guess that in the Fairyland that she lives in there is no 911. What’s the point of calling my aunt when my aunt can do nothing but get nervous about it? Oh, I get pissed because my mother is not an idiot, she is not insane or incapacitated. We are talking about a woman in her 50-something. So I don’t get it. My grandfather has fallen more than 6 times, and in none she had the common sense of taking him to ER for an x-ray test. How about a lab? He is frail because he doesn’t receive proper food (actually almost none at all).

I have been witnessing this carelessness for more than a year, and I am fed up. She takes his money and there is no food or medicines or professional care for him. She has lived for free in that house all her life, ever since she divorced from my father when I was 4 years old. Everyone has helped her at all times. Her parents took care of her. She didn’t raise her kids, we were raised me by my aunt and my sister by her godmother. Damnit, the woman has had no responsibilities in her whole life. All has been a screen of being social and being wealthy and being a respectable person. Now she’s dating a guy that is almost 80 and that is in complete need of care. The guy what needs is a maid or housekeeper that takes care of him. And she has time everyday to go pick him up and have lunch and dinner and take him places so he stop being depressed… She gets out at 8am and returns at 11pm. In the meanwhile, who takes care of her parents? Wouldn’t it make more sense that she takes care of her elderly instead of an elderly stranger who has 2 daughters that could take care of him? My mother do everything for this guy, and nothing at all for her parents. But she loves getting their social security checks.

What about food? What about hiring someone to take care of him, bathing him and feeding him during the day? How about a nun to stay with him at nights… oh, yeah, because my mother complaints that she has to pass the night upstairs with him and that it is just too much for her. How about having a scheduled doctor visit each month, taking lab tests until no anemia shows up? How about giving her father quality of life, the therapies he needed? He is not as senile and useless as she makes him look. He is just drugged. How come he acknowledges my aunt and me when we pass by? And holds our arms asking us to please don’t go? And if he gets outbursts of rage, I ask… If a dog was left for 2 days without food… would he ask for food nicely? Or a cat? Or any animal? Well, I expect a human to get enraged if he knows he has money and no food is given to him. That’s common sense. I also expect rage when all he receives is a constant fight from his wife, whom I have heard the way that treats him from outside whenever I have passed by and stood outside listening without calling.

I am not dumb or deaf. I have speaked up and they have made no attempt to listen to me. My mother seems an angel but is a careless bitch. My grandmother is anemic too, but at least she goes to a small store near their house and gets something to eat from there. What she gets for my grandfather, the one that they wont allow to go sit in the living room, HIS living room? He cannot even go to the bathroom, they make him do everything in his bed. They have made him handicapped out of hunger and mistreat.

I am tired of witnessing. I have given warnings and advice. But I am so ignorant… So… I will be heard one way or another. I cannot wait until they kill him.

I called the Family Department. A coworker gave me the name of someone who works there and deals with elderly abuse. She will visit the house in 2-3 weeks to check the conditions and give me solutions. She said she will tell them it was an anonymous call, I told her she can give my whole name. I don’t care. Whatever I do, I do looking at the enemy in the eye. I don’t have to run or hide. My mother needs to get a lesson. When you praise God, you should acknowledge that he said “Do unto others as you would want them to do to you” as well as one of the “Obras de Misericordia” is to take care of the sick. I know and live more the Religion than the ones that go every weekend to church and claim to be good sheep. I know her conscience is not at peace, and her deeds have not been just out of the goodness of her heart. But I am not like my aunt, who is always complaining and putting things in God’s hands. I do believe God will help truth prevail, but I believe also that you have to make things happen. And I will. In the meanwhile I am to make sure he gets medical treatment, and I plan to gather proof my way. Truth will be uncovered, the hard way.

I suspect my aunt will be a bit alarmed because she is in for no-scandals… Me, bring them on. If I go to any means to save a kitty, I think that I might feel drawn to do the same or a bit more with my grandfather. Common sense. My sword has been drawn, there is no turning back. For truth and justice and love. To the death.

Hmm, I just learned that there is an AEELA study financial aid, so I am going to check it out. I want to study something else… someone mentioned psychology… I am also thinking of social work… That has always attracted me. Or interior design. I need to gather more information on the different offers available at the universities around here… We’ll see…

I feel outraged, challenged, inspired and at the same time I feel sad. I wish the world to be one of harmony, in which nature and humans collaborated and there were no wars or deceit or ill will. But evil has deep roots, and so many are blinded by the wrong sources of hate… I am just one believer in the good that can be, against the thousands of hundreds that work in favor of destruction and chaos… Never mind that. I sincerely believe I am to make a difference in my surroundings, in all the people I touch. Perhaps if they pass unto others the chain of kindness, something big and good can come out of if. All is not lost, as long as there remains just one person with the light of rightfulness in his/her eyes.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!
Hope you all enjoy a day full of candy and good wishes. May all of you get some! Jeje!

Monday, February 13, 2006

Well, of the flu remains a very healthy cough. Of the bad moments remains hope that things will get better. Of people remains the fact that few good friends are best than a crowd of “funny strangers”.

My temper is in check, bad things will always be bad and nothing can change that… so breath in breath out. There are always some highlights in life, I guess…

On Sat my uncle showed up asking for the key of my house. Turns out he had been jumping over the fence to get in and use his machete on the wilderness covering my house. Ok… I figured someone is really bored. Whatever. Since he has no finca of his own I guess that my house will be the new attraction? Went over there in the afternoon, and he also had been welding the water pipes… Now I have a faucet very accessible outside, and no visible leaking. Ok… I drew the line at the comment of the front having a perfect space to harvest gandules. I don’t want the farm in the front. What is wrong with having some landscaping? I know over his house what seems like wild weeds are in fact gandules, tomatoes, ginger and the like, but I think you can have all based on location and organization. Front-landscaping. Back-he can do as he pleases. I know nothing of agriculture so any advise on that I welcome with open arms… but don’t push it!

Also, on Sat I re-entered the information wave, riding the cURL and asserting that it’s not a bug but a feature… Whatever. Got me a cel so there’s some communication between me-auntie-the world. Hate having to do it, but the phone damage at aunties is something that the phone company doesn’t seem to want to repair, sooooo… Auntie was happy about it. And she immediately made the mistake of giving the number to the wrong crowd… Breath in, breath out. My mother immediately called me because her computer is not working. You know so many reasons to call a person, but my mother always calls me only if there is a computer issue… and it goes beyond making me mad and upset. Grrrr…

On Sun Lucinda went to aunties for she needed a Chinese costume for both kids… long story. We tried the whole day to get the guy she won the auction from, but it proved to be mission impossible. At 8pm we gave up, told her I would try getting the guy next day… And so I did. Sent the payment and hopefully she will get the package on time… Fingers crossed.

Been scheduling some loose problems so they get solved, and doing some customer support. At least the morning was not boring. Hopefully the afternoon will go as fast.

Friday, February 10, 2006

Well, I can talk. I just can't breathe. Seems I'm using my matita-abilities to get oxygen... LOL Whatever. Just heard a strange saying "Estás más combiná que una papeleta". Ok... It just made me laugh. Don't ask. My cough is a bit dry, so now its a matter of getting sinus medicines since the flu turned or evolved into sinus. Hmmm... I should become a shaman and get more medicine plants... Or a witch so I get my own demonito... Jeje...

Been 2 days that I know nothing of Groundel. Hope he's doing ok, that Lucinda is taking care of him, that her kids are not driving him crazy and that everything is in order. No one has a phone, so... It's pathetic, I know... But ain't that our normal mode? Pathethic Anonymus. Ok... well known, but humor me...

Back on track, sort of. Slept some last night. Let's see how the day unfolds...

Arghhhhhh! Rotting! This damn flu is a killer! The pills are keeping me alive, but damn... I slept almost nothing last night. Came to work because I knew I wouldn't sleep in the morning. The cats are calling for me but I cannot go in their room... Walking hurts. Talking hurts. Breathing hurts. Shot me! Somebody!!!! Anybody!!!

Well, yesterday there was an activity at work, for students. but since only a few showed up there was plenty of leftover fancy food. Churrasco, carrot cake, nut cake... Yummy. Later in the afternoon would I learn that the marinara that the churrasco was placed on for 3 days would be the most disagreeable of things. Tummy trouble, followed by a sore throat that kept getting worst by the half-hour. Went to Sams to finally take my pic and get the card, delivered the goodies at home and then delivered Groundel. By 8pm I had a fever. So, spent the night with deliriums, taking medicines and the like... Oh, my so called normal nightlife... Today I gathered all that is left of a thing call energy, and here I am... at work... freezing my ass and my sinus with this stupid a/c... Taking non-drowsy pills that makes me drowsy anyway because all I want is a bed and a comforter... Hope I can make it through the day... It hurts to talk, so I'll be as quiet as a mouse... How nice...

My horoscope today...

"Get excited, because this is going to be one great day, VIVIAN! Everything will go your way; it will seem as if you simply cannot lose. At work, team members will look to you as the leader. At home, family members express gratitude and affection. What more could anyone want? While you may be tempted to parlay this luck at the casino, don't act on the impulse. You are already a winner. You really do have it all. Enjoy it! You have earned this shining moment."

Yeah, right...
Today at work early to go to San German… Should be back at midday hopefully. I fil-trafa so lets hope things move fast… The deposit I made didn’t clear completely because the gov bank had it in hold, and the contractor’s check was cleared but left me in a big negative until the hold is out… I just have 60 box and cannot get to it until tomorrow night! How will I fill up my car’s gas tank, and how will I eat in San German and tomorrow… nice trivia… I just have to wonder WHY, WHY, WHY things ALWAYS have to be so HARD or DIFFICULT for me… WHY??????? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?

Ok. End of DRAMA. Now to Life... Unscripted.

This weekend passed away as a lightning flash. Groundel needed a place to stay, and Lucinda took him in. We have been looking for a small room or something and nothing came up. Then Lucinda remembered that at the house where she lived years ago there was a basement that used to be rented… She called her aunt and the small apartment was available since the last tenant left it as a mess and the owner just closed it up. We went to see how bad it was on Sunday, and turns out the place is perfect. It needs cleaning and paint, but as a place just to sleep it is just what he needs. Water included, it will be a $75 monthly bill. Did I say perfect again? He doesn’t really need light, he’s kinda used to living in candlelight for the time he lived with his mother (they stopped paying the ligt bill in September…), so… Groundel will be Lucinda’s guest for another week. They should go on Friday to start the cleaning up-painting stuff, and move a mattress from the house above. Location is at walking distance to everything since it is at the heart of Mayaguez. So, he can go study, and can go work… He may get something thanks to another of his friends at Volcar (the guy left and is supervisor somewhere else and asked him to give him his resume to try getting him a part-time… Fingers crossed please). So… One less stress for me. I was really upset about people being so… bitchy and senseless about him having no home. I tried my uncle and that turned out as something bad bad bad. Seems he clearly forgets where he comes from, and how he made it. Oh, well… That’s a rule of thumb of humans. They forget their roots. Anyway… The important thing is that at least the night dwelling matter is closed. Now it’s up to Groundel to get a job and finish studying. After that, the sky’s the limit for him.

The showdown between my uncle and the contractor was as I expected… bad. I don’t get why my uncle is so… himself… making comments as if he were the one paying… You can get that feel, which is very wrong. I wanted him to help me view things about the forest-side of my dwelling, no to examine the actual house and start criticizing. He questioned why I wanted such dark tiles for the bath… I LIKE COBALT BLUE, SO WHAT! Then he makes that snarl he makes when he disapproves… Ahhhh! Saying that the actual tile was fine, that the floor was fine, that I just needed light and I could move in… And to my saying I wanted everything done before actually living there, he snapped “Oh, since you have the money”. WTF… I repeat… WTF? I hate that. I really hate that. If he were to make any contribution by all means he may speak… If he had been a co-signer, or the one giving anything for the house he could have every right in the world to make his opinion stand loud and clear… But flailing a machete while complaining about everything really pissed me off. NOT YOUR HOUSE, NOT YOUR DEBT, NOT YOUR CONCERN. Well, I’m NOT sorry I have TASTE and VISION. I inherited THAT from my auntie. And to my uncle’s dismay, I got my ILL TEMPER from HIM. So he better shove up his ass his opinions if they do nothing to help me in any way. The contractor has not been perfect but has been a sport with me, and allowed me to pay him in installments. I know that kindness in business is payed for. A shame an ex-businessman like my uncle cannot see that… But then again, the one that really run his business was my aunt, not him… He got the glory while she was his slave. Cute thing.

Yes I am very ticked off. My uncle used to be very human and very kind… But his contact with the hyenna that he married and his 7 brothers who are simply animals have made him… cold hearted… shallow… That is not the man I remember. I rather keep my good memories than deal with such a creep. I know life hardens people, but damnit… He is my father. I am no stranger. And somehow he made me wish I were… That was the not-so-kodak moment of Saturday evening. Hurray-hurray.

Well.. my life goes back to me again as I woke up this morning. It’s a good feeling facing life stress-free, and having achieved the solutions to the problems that I considered important. So what if I over-react, or if I am a sentimental fool? That’s what friends are for. And I may not have tons of friends, but I always stand for my close friends: The family I chose. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Been solving issues that appear, and just writing and feeding some talents that I neglect at times. Drawing sketches as I write, meaning that I am really getting into the characters… I still have it in me. Yay!

January passed by, quick, swift and leaving nothing of reckoning worth. Lovely. Seems this year will fly away fast. Hope so anyway… Want it to be Oct 2007. At least something interesting will happen by then, I hope… I know I won’t be able to travel this year, with all the expenses and so… but… Next year I will go see the friggin Horror Nights, even if it’s the last thing I do, damnit! And with any luck, will pass by NY and see the Lestat musical. Is that too much to ask for? Huh?

Working on one of my sites that needs a facelift. Love the outcome so far.

Underworld:Evolution. Not as bad as I expected, predictable but entertaining. The sex scenes didn’t add anything to the storyline but I guess they needed that as an excuse to make Selene drop her tight cover-up. Whatever… Love the ancient vamps. For a moment you expect Xena to come out of the woods into the village and kick ass… Yes, I still dream of the Xena movie… Let it be, let it be! (Fingers crossed).

The weekend had no great consequence… Basically scrapbooking on Sat, dyed my hair back to the Vampire Red, watched WNTW and some of the Wild Weddings flicks, and went to check my house on Sun. Contemplating taking Isis, Roxy or Michita to the Sato Show on February. Of the 3, Michita has the most interesting story to tell… but her frights may turn to the unbearable stage once more so I dunno…

Groundel finally made the dreaded “matricula” after knocking many doors and should start his courses today. He took 5 classes, two management, one computer, one theology and one social science. Hopefully he can also apply for a student loan and look for a place to stay that is at walking distance of the university. At least studying matters are looking up. Yay!

Lucinda started studying too, so it’s a step closer to her graduation date. Her schedule is hectic as usual: Two kids, a job and studying ain’t easy... So in her case as long as she doesn’t stand still, she must keep walking towards her goals. Slow but certain.

Coriolis trying his luck at jobhunting. Well, he should have no problem doing that, he’s living within the Citadel of Hell (and opportunity). Sadly, if you are not in Area Metro chances for a career change simply thin-out, and chances of being happy at work seems like a dreamscape. So, go ahead puppy… You can do it!

I’m still looking for a studying program that I like… So far I am not convinced with what I have found. I’m inclined towards Fotography and Painting but Interior Design and Webdesign and Graphic Art are calling me… Too many interests, too little time… Will try to start something bu August this year. Let’s see how that unfolds…

Nothing else. Chillin’.

I have been sick for the past days. The flu that my aunt and Sara and company had transferred to my bloodstream, so I was fatally thrown at its feet. Been with a fever for 2 days, and with diarrhea for another… A lovely, charming thing. Back in my office since it is the only place where I can be with some peace and quiet… Yesterday my aunt nagged me the whole day about me not working… Oh, I am sooo irresponsible…

Groundel is now looking for a new dwelling cave since he will be without a roof after this weekend. No job, classes starting for him maybe next week, and no help from his local family as usual. Lucinda volunteered to offer some shelter so he has a chance to get some student aid loan and get a roof for the semester… When something goes sucky, it goes all the way… This year has been hell so far… And it is just starting…

I’m still trying to get a hold on the people from Retiro to get the stupid check for the contractor… If they only answered the phone life would be so sweet… Seems I will have to waste a travel just to know what the hell they are gonna do! Damn…

Tril on a self-pity ongoing mode that tries to drag me in with it. Sorry but guit trips do not work on me, and progress can only be made after he decided to pick up his life and do something with it. ‘Nuff said.

Auntie had a bad week, and still trying to make it. Still coughing badly but at least much better than last week. Between the French frye that almost killed her and the deadly flu she has been quite altered from her regular schedule. She’s upset about roaches, and now I’m to blame for having all my stuff storaged in the place, sheltering the roaches… I will start moving things over to the house. I will just change the doorlock of one bedroom and use it as storage. It’s the best I can do for now… I hate seeing her sick and being able to do nothing about it. It makes me realize how frail she really is, and she can slip away anytime soon… And although we argue constantly. Life will be a sad thing if she is not around to give some inspiration…

Shaken up about many things: Life, needs, wants, goals, dreams, relationships, friends… Nothing is quite what I expected, little is good and most is pure shit. And it is as good as it can get… Lovely-errr.

Woke up with a stuffy nose. Yesterday spent the whole day on the road, getting some UPS batteries to some people... installing them... And so, the dust and dirt in the floors and under the desks made me sick... How strange...

Sent old stuff to San Juan. RUM didn't make my letter with the 2 weeks notice, and my calling everyday... So the oportunity as HR agent is ruined... I will try calling HR for a one week of grace, but doubt their kindness...

Groundel wants to take guitar lessons, getting info on that. Didn't knew he used to play a little when he was a youngling... Well, his godmother may take him to a college to see if he doesn't miss this new semester. Fingers crossed. If he is diligent he may graduate by December. If.

Well, duty calls. Later, kiddies.

Ok, for all the people who wondered:
This is my house

And this is me in the house

Any questions?

High blood sugar levels ask for harsh measures. Lets see if these measures work. Ive been feeling too bad for the last month, the kidneys pain almost matching ovaries pain, and feeling scratchy and angry almost 24/7... So... I'll start with baby steps and try a 1,300 caloric intake diet or so to see if it has any effect on me. I am tired of... feeling tired, feeling pains, feeling old. Don't want to end up in a wheelchair, blind and angry. Many things to do, and the best way of doing all I want to do is being the best I can be in every sense. I'll come back to this next week, to report any improvements if they take place... Yes, I am very skeptical...

Kyonne is well, prancing and fighting and chasing as usual. I changed the room yesterday... After cleaning up litters and room, turned the bed to a side and placed sickbay next to it. Blah, blah... I think the room will provide a bit more challenges to the kitties, therefore they should be entertained for a while. They need this kind of change, being in a predictable small room is no joke...

I guess it will be some sort of gaming night. Let's see if I don't start chasing Z's by 9... LOL Last night had almost no sleep because of a bad incident that may tell the future of some people... Not getting in too deep about it... I'll just call it the De Vera Incident. 'Nuff said.

The inspector visited my house today, took some pics and left. Hopefully I can get the money by Friday... Want to pay the contractor so he either finishes the details or let me finish the details on my own. Whatever.

Well... Gotta finish some tasks...

Friday, January 13, 2006

Finally, a busy day! Spent the whole morning installing UPSs and part of the afternoon wondering how to fill in some UPS holes… 24 for 28 people… Am I expected to be a magician? Anyway, most are happy, so that's enough.

Quickie call from Coriolis to let me know how Phoebe lost her male baby. Charmed TV. Yes, I like it, so what. Yes, he likes it too.

Tired. Balancing tired-not so tired-somewhat tired moods. It's Friday, so hopefully I can wake up late tomorrow… I don't think it will be possible to actually sleep before 10pm. I have too much stuff to read, as well as too much stuff navigating in my oh-so-deep oceanic brain…

The Sims2 finally gave out some cheats. A gnome that I thought would be a travelling gnome turned out to be some sort of alien device in which you can control other cheats. You can unlock all clothing and all items and fill up to max the aspirations. Not bad at all, decreases some stress levels at gameplay… Will try it all probably on Monday.

Gotta finish up the dungeons character and add some character to the vampire one. Is simply that weekdays make me sleepy in matters of reading too much statistics and the like…Call me lazy, I don't care… I just need the Players Handbook, for heaven's sake! I want it! Damnit!

Filled up some papers to get free annual credit reports. Gotta see if there has been any improvement in my credit so I can venture for the (ohhh ahhh) cellular phone. I won't ask until I am certain of what I have, and inquire the bad stuff. Hopefully I can raise the medium rare to a well done. That's one of the main things about this initiative…

Paying, paying, paying… The income tax is around the corner… lovely. The bills keep growing and there is nothing that us consumers can do about the abuse. Sometimes it is better to be a leech… leeches live better than working humans… Blah…

Kyonne hurt his nose and paws last night, so had to set him free off the cage. Checked him during the morning and he looked fine. Scarred but happy camper… a fighter for freedom… Braveheart kitty.

This will be a long weekend… Hopefully the house things will be done… We'll see…

People getting out, gotta go.

Thursday... The whole week has been... burdensome... to say the least. I feel completely drained, and my sleeping at 10pm is not helping it. I will have to shift the sleeping time to 8pm, I am waking up too sleepy and too tired... And it's not that I am not getting 8 hours of sleep... Diabetes is a bitch. If it keeps on this way I'll have to get insulin shots, which I'm really trying to avoid. Only the good die young, right?

At work everything is too slow and uneventful. Same old stupid crap about printers and users forgetting their passwords... Every MIS office knows that curse. Idiocy in people, 101. Dealing with it...

Kyonne is getting better. The small glimpses of freedom that he gets he runs with the back legs being in the right possition. Thank God for the blessed hands of Clavell. He's a live San Francisco de Asís.

Tuesday: Back to work. Not too bad, not too good. At least I got to move some chess pieces:

-Called Retiro. The inspector should be coming to check the house on Tuesday

-Called RUM. Managed to get a yes so they make me a letter stating that Iif I would have asked for a Human Resources minor I would have got it because I have the minimum requisites for that specialization within my master. Hopefully that will do something in matters of helping me get a career change. If that doesn't work, I'll take it as an omen that I should keep on being stuck here…

-The contractor called. He had a plumber over the house, and found out I need to change all the flow keys, so he will do that. He should be able to take care of all details by the weekend.

-Something wicked is coming this way, or so… Have a girl that has been insisting on me doing her a logo and a website, so I may get that job… Gotta decide fast. So far Mon & Tue has been a "go to bed early because you are too tired" and that is what worries me. If I am too tired, I cannot work on my free time…

-Groundel has been a guardian angel (or demon) all this time. During Xmas he helped me a lot in house chores and with the kitties. Just letting him know he is very much appreciated. His constant presence gives me strength to face anything.

-LightShadow had her first take at character-making. Haha! Don't worry, that's the boring part. The adventure is yet to come.

-Lucinda had some diabetic treats for Groundel and me, couldn't make it last night so maybe tonight? Depends on how tired I am… Hmmm… Ok, maybe over the weekend? Sheesh!

-Trilogy has been around of late, and has expressed many things through words. But I am an action girl. Show me deeds, as words can drift in the air and get lost in translation… Too many years of chasing ghosts have turned me into an emotionless bitch… Who knew?

-Coriolis has been having fun with his bitches… Oh, the eternal pimp! And he says he'll throw game this weekend… Promises, promises! Hey, don't forget the Starbucks coffee!

-Next Monday is also a holiday, thanks of Martin Luther King, Jr. So, cheers and wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Well, duty calls and so I must go. Honk.

After the 3kings gifts...

I guess that the 3Kings were feeling wreckless, having fun while being drunk with vodka or something... Playing tricks on innocent bystanders, playing Twister with Diana Ross... Haha, no-no-no... Big fat old bearded guy is still in Bahamas and the 3Kings feel a big responsability to party all over the world! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

No I am not on drugs.

The year started out dull at some times, full of drama and character at other times... I'm starting to feel like a live USA station or something... but TNT is the one with the "we love drama" slogan... so? a mix of both characters in desperate need of shrinks and gayish drama. Where the party never stops... Whatever...

No new movies watched. Caught a glimpse at How to lose a guy in 10 days... I really like that movie, I just recalled that yes I had seen it before... The light! The light! What not to wear has been hilarius and inspiring as usual. I missed Xmas specials like the classic Rudolf and Santa movies... even Nightmare before Xmas would have been apropriate. Somehow, Xmas is no longer what it used to be and it is not what one expects it to be... No spirit, no giving, no togetherness, no sharing... Buying stuff to make people happy is the biggest fad... Nothing like a big hug, warm chocolate and good company. But seems that's just me...

Been a lazy ass this whole week. Playing the Sims or making characters or watching tv. The contractor finally appeared and should do something next week, hopefully.

Yesterday had to take Kyonne to the vet. On the 6th he was barely moving his back legs and I got really worried. Seems that he went like a tornado while playing with his beloved brother and took a big fall from the shelves near the ceiling to the floor, missing the bed... That is my most accurate bet. Legs were not broken, but he did something to his back. The doc put some inyections on the kitty, an antibiotic and an anti-inflamatory. Both last for 12 days. He also gave me some pills I must give Kyonne for 4 days. And kitty must stay confined to a cage for 2 weeks so his muscles heal. Should bring him to the vet on the 21st for a final checkup if nothing else happens to him. Well... since it is a bit hard to keep a caged kitty, finally bought the big cage I wanted to get for these emergencies. A small litter box can fit in the ack, and kitty still has space to move a bit and keep his food close at the cage's door. Sick bay is perfect, and the sick kitty is recuperating while keeping himself warm, clean and well fed. Gosh, my kitties are lucky... All that plus A/C at night.

The Kyonne thing has been the mayor event in the last 24 hours. I get too worried.

Well, besides that I finally decided on a Corellion Larethian priestess that is also a necromantic Deathslayer. And she's a mixed elf breed, a drow father and a grey elf mom. She should be cool to roleplay, hopefully. We are thinking of laying Tuesdays and Thursdays at night, so everyone has a happy free weekend. Dont know if its a good idea for me, I get too tired when at work... We'll see how that idea turns out.

No messages from Coriolis, hope he has thrown no game... want to play but need a ride. Lucinda's kids were happy with the Catwalk Kittie and the GreySlash man-dog. I just didn't get the reason behind their getting the characters married right away... Well, grey kitty and grey dog... WTF? LOL Oh, well... they are having fun, that's what matters.

And that's the news so far... I start working on Tuesday, so call me at my office, people... Ok? Anyways...

2006. So far, nothing different or neat. Passed NYeve sleeping, NYday feeling sick. At least no deaths due to stray bullets, yay! Prepared a character for playing Vampire Dark Ages. Will prepare another character for FR. Hopefully the group will be a stable one, no fights or dramas are foreseen... Fingers crossed. Very tired of getting my hopes high for a game that gets destroyed within 3 game-days. Playing Vampire will be new to me, have only read and watched V:TM gaming, the V:DA should be entertaining... wanted a Toreador but since I always think of Toreador will try a new clan so I get a different feel... For this one I will try becoming a narcissistic leader like Hitler or the like... but with chivalric tendencies. For the dungeons stuff... I may try a werebeast. Not certain if werewolf or werepanther... Since 2 players will be half-dragon powerhouses I aint worrying too much...

Playing the Sims. Created celebrities like Jaimie Summers, Diana Prince and Bruce Wayne. That should spice up the friends... LOL

WolfCreek: Lame movie, lame plot, even lamer acting and SFX. Blame Australia for this one... Whatever happenned to cool original foreign flicks? This one can keep Lola running!

No other movies... not even rented. Austerity. Many bills, and then some... So far, 2006 began as a bitch. Hail bitch-hood!

2005... Not so many important things happenned, but at least some did. Life is not so bad, although being alive and truly living are different things. That's the point I've been trying to get stamped into stubborn people's minds. I intend to live even if no one agrees with what I want. I am quick to try pleasing everyone's wishes, but genie wants some time for herself as well, time to pamper herself and do everything she always wanted to do besides saving the world from human stupidity and being the eternal paladin.

This year I made many balancing acts to get my dream house. Well, it is in the country side, it is far enough but close enough, it has a nice view towards the mountains in one side and towards the ocean in the back side, it has 2 floors, and it has plenty of ground so people at least stay away and I can complete my "ranch" dreams someday. The place is not new, and has plenty of work in progress... I wanted to move in right away but that cannot be. I have to fix many things and arrange many things to my taste and I know it's better to do it all before I move in because that way I am certain things will be done... The problem is that it will take longer than I expected because of the cash flow... but as a saying says "Don't run and don't stop, if you don't stop you will get there". It will end up a haven for my kitties, a haven for gaming and a place I can truly call home... Good things come to those who wait.

Things at work wont get better and didnt get worse. I want a career change that is very stuck because now I need a letter from my university that says that the courses I have are equivalent to a Human Resourses Master... I started my MBA when there was no specializations, so my MBA was a generic Management thing. I have both HR and Marketing courses, but people do not want to read and want to make lives miserable. I know how RUM works, and it is not likely that they will make the letter... I will try to get it, though... no battle worst than the one you didnt fight. And I am very good at the arts of war... hope that the outcome is at least encouraging.

Things at home aint worst than what they have always been. Since I started living at auntie's I returned to being 15 years old... Oh, I feel so young I can weep! It is a bit of an anoyance... sometimes a lot... but I guess it is not so bad after all. My kitties are happier than I thought they would be, and little by little I'm improving the house so at least something makes auntie happy.

Things in matters of love are shady, more than usual. I feel my heart has been surrounded with a thorned strand... No, it's not a sacred heart, but I guess I know how Jesus must have felt at humanity's cruel heartlessness. I still have no road to follow. I have lost belief in all kinds of words and expect only actions. So, actions it is... Try breathing life into a corpse. Lestat would be so proud!

Things inside of me are fine. I am in love with my brain, with my thoughts, with my spirit... I am the kid that grew up to discover that she is still the kid... only wiser... I will never stop looking for wonder, or flying kites in my dreams. The important things in life are invisible to the eyes. And once again The Little Prince strikes back, another year ever since I discovered him back in 9th grade... I visit him yearly ever since... And always a new lesson blooms. Hail The Little Prince!

I am grateful for the special people that surround me, namely Groundel, LightShadow, Lucinda, Joe, Coriolis, Auntie, Lulu, Zordak, El Calvo, and Trilogy. May the new year bring you bliss, peace and love.

In case I am not around the cyberworld, Happy New Year!!!

MERRY XMAS TO ALL! Even to old grouches who don’t believe on it ;)

Got nice gifts from family and friends, got a nice typical salty dinner courtesy of auntie, saw various movies:
Madagascar: Hilarious! Loved the penguins! Love the rodents! A bit too short for my taste, but cool anyway.
Frankenstein: An attempt for a mini-series that is another good idea with a bad execution. Too slow… and not complete… Don’t waste your time with this.
Sky High: Don’t miss Linda Carter saying she is no Wonder Woman… Right!
Fantastic Four: Though it would be completely useless, but no… McMahon as DrDoom was perfect. Although Sue didn’t look like Sue at all… same for Richards… it was ok. Surprised me… entertaining.

Small gathering on Friday night to go watch King Kong. Lucinda went with her hubby, and so they joines Lightshadow, Groundel and me. Small moment of fright as Ladymex passed by with her offspring… but she turned to avoid us. Finally she got the hint. Yay! Anyway… The evening had no casualties and was fun. Lucinda ended up crying a river, guess she didn’t heard that the monkey died… Oh, well… ;)

Coriolis bored, leaving singing messages in my home phone… Oh, boy… Well, we’ll see if he really passes by on Monday. I am so tired of promises… Then again, he didn’t promise… Oh, I am soooo foolish!

Well… Keep on tuned…

Early at my house to make phone calls. No luck yet with Retiro, so I foresee the check thing will be for Jan. Not my fault, will have the phone bill to prove it. :(

Dripping dripping drowning dripping... The dripping in the bath is getting me crazy. Need to get a plumber to take care of all water issues... by mid-Jan... Right now not even a cent to spend... Eeeck!

Will ask Joe Carpenter to take out the closets and any other wood stuff. Want no wood in here, unless it is caoba. No termites, please. Maybe will do some tiling next week as well... This week or what is left of it should be an ode to lazyness... sort off... Put the primer at auntie's so gotta paint maybe tomorrow morning if I'm in the mood...

May see Tril this afternoon. I feel bored and I won't spend another whole day here waiting for a phone call that won't happen. It's like waiting for the repair of auntie's phone... It just won't happen until next year maybe... Happy happy joy joy... Eeeck!

Still an Anti-Chilli's/Anti-Ponderosa girl. People, chill... I gotta be the Grinch or Scrooge... Someone has to do it... And it is in my bones. Deal with it! It's the season to be spooky, shalalalala-lala-lala!

Mood: Make a wild guess. Maybe I'll like Xmas better if I had the spirit within, but my spirit is out and it only enjoys Halloween to the fullest. Xmas is all about gifts and outings to spend money, and getting things overpriced, and people crowding up and pushing you around and having an excuse to curse you with a smile. Blah! I hate crowds, I hate taking part of a lie (after all, baby Jesus was born between March-May, not in December), I hate people being double face (we all know they aint so merry and that they pretend to care but they just want you to fail at everything to pick up the spoils of war)... A beautiful life... Maybe a long time ago, in a galaxy far away... where people actually took the time to make their gifts and instruct values and feelings to their siblings... I wish I live in another time, but no... Here I am... In the land of confussion, in a land with no values, no heart, no core, no true joy... a land that delights on ignoring problems and celebrating stupidity, beer and half-naked chicks. Lovely land...

My homeland died horribly, and instead this accursed clone has taken over... Gentle portorricans have been turned into headless chickens in human bodies... Damned world... And its funny to see what they write as "what the 2006 will bring to us", writing about the stars saying that so many bad things will happen... Hello! Wake up! Of course bad things will happen... its a logical consequence of global carelessness. Trees keep on being cut, the Amazon Jungle keeps vanishing. Glaciers keep melting... Well, duh! Earthquakes will strike, weather will be insane... Logical things that are consequence of what the "intelligent" animal of this planet does best: Screw everything it touches for the sake of so-called civilization and evolution.

I believe in fighting and making a difference. It just seems there is no point. The few fighters are branded as geek anarchists that try going against all odds and literally die trying. The deep lessons left by Mother Theresa and Princess Diana in matters of giving selflessly were lessons of a one day application... People look at them, say its a pity, and move on. While people decide which game system should they buy, or which cellular has the best features, or which iPod looks cooler there are children dying because they couldnt get even just a spoonful of rice. Mention this, and people say its a pity, and they keep on their mindless consumerism because it doesn't inmediately touch them... Mention that you are not talking of Africa, but of this piece of land we call Island of Enchantment... and they wont believe it. Personally, I wont get a $500 buck system, not even a $130 system. People keep wasting money investing on their children's lack of imagination... and creating monsters that don't really get the value of money. Instead of giving a one day play and food and toys for kids, try donating time, volunteering... That's what true Xmas is all about... a gift that comes from the heart and lasts a whole year or a lifetime... There is a difference between wants and needs. Place it in a balance and realize that most wants are not even close to needs, and that after you fulfill your needs you can help others do the same... and in the way, get the greatest of your wants.

Ok... That's as deep as I can go today. I'm outta here.

To all friends and foes: Merry Xmas. May all of you get exactly what every one of you deserves! :)

And to pick up the spirit... here goes... cheers!

" T'was the night before Christmas - Old Santa was pissed.
He cussed out the elves and threw down his list.
Miserable little brats, ungrateful little jerks.
I have a good mind to scrap the whole works.
I've busted my ass for damn near a year.
Instead of "Thanks Santa" - what do I hear?
The old lady bitches cause I work late at night...
The elves want more money - The reindeer all fight.
Rudolph got drunk and goosed all the maids.
Donner is pregnant and Vixen has AIDS.
And just when I thought that things would get better,
Those assholes from IRS sent me a letter.
They say I owe taxes - if that ain't damn funny.
Who the hell ever sent Santa Claus any money?
And the kids these days - they all are the pits.
They want the impossible ...Those mean little shits.
I spent a whole year making wagons and sleds,
Assembling dolls...Their arms, legs and heads,
I made a ton of yoyo's - No request for them...
They want computers and robots...they think I'm IBM.
Flying through the air...dodging the trees,
Falling down chimneys and skinning my knees.

I'm quitting this job...there's just no enjoyment.
I'll sit on my fat ass and draw unemployment.
There's no Christmas this year...now you know the reason...
I found me a blonde. I'm going SOUTH for the season"

Absolutely anoyed and mad. No phone at auntie's (still, the Big old fart wont grant that wish... talking about the big old Xmas guy)... People looking for me as if I were not gonna pay... Last night the contractor's sister gave me a reminder visit along with 4 people who got out of their car in a not so friendly way... WTF? If she thought I would be intimidated, sorry. I just got soooo pissed because I dont like shows at auntie's... How can I give any money if the stupid inspector from Retiro wont show up? And that's something the contractor knew... Until she gives the go and I go to SJ to sign papers and get the check there is nothing else I can do... And I keep calling Retiro and no one answers me... But they call to my work and now today a coworker woke me up at home to tell me they were looking for me... Great. BTW, the inspector was suppossed to pass by last Thu and get this over with, she didnt. She left a note at Retiro saying she didnt found the house... But gee, she didnt call either and I waited for her the whole friggin day... Thanks to that the effect of people who want money and whom I cant get it turns into overwhelming and eeeck!

Besides that, nothing else of much worth... Say Anthony yesterday, went to see Aeon Flux... BTW, as I suspected, that movie is great as a rental, not for the Big Screen.

Narnia... Ah, Narnia... Delightful. Now I can believe in all those creatures that speak but that I wondered how... Gotta love the Phoenix. Gotta love the Witch. Gotta worship the Lion (Alex, there is your treat for the holidays... Mufasa eat your heart out). Animals with human voices were flawless. Even the wolves were perfect.

So what's left of it all? King Kong... T-rexes... Blondes in distress... Read it all at Aintitcoolnews.com

Me, trying to entertain myself with lovely ants... Waiting for calls that doesn't happen... Found the treasure for Einstein, so now is the quest for little Barbie's treasure... Groundel taking care of that business.

Making some plans, just SOME because most don't happen and so I am trying to avoid the planning business completely.

So, if the inspector shows her ass up here before Fri, I may get to get the check on Fri... if not it will be a business for next year because of the government holidays shutdown...

Whatever. Tired. Pissed. Anoyed... What's so new about it all?

I am nerdier than 86% of all people. Are you nerdier? Click here to find out!

Yay! Nerdy nerd! Nerdy nerd! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! And all because I know a Vulcan and some Dungeons... Who knew? ;)

First day of vacation... Intoxicated with Clorox. Lovely.

Preparing everything for my departure at work, namely backups, backups, backups... Same old problems, same old deaf ears at the offices in SJ. Thank God for compensatory time and vacation time... Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Well, the lady from Retiro is suppossed to pass by the house tomorrow to check it up. Hopefully all will be fine so I have the money for the contractor within this week. He work slow but certain, and the job was perfect. Love the stairs, very private now. Will try working on the bathroom so at least that is done by next week. Will try using the help of a friend that has experience with tiles. We'll see the outcome! Gotta paint with primer on Fri what is left of auntie's so later on she can paint whatever she wants to paint. Weekend and next week will be cleaning mayhem-fun at my house, anyone who wanna help is invited to do so.

Kitties very healthy and kicking. I dont know what my life would be without them. They are the only ones who understand me so well: sleep, play, and eat, the most important things in life.

Eeeck! Gotta go back to work!

Awful days gone, awful days ahead... Awful day today... Yay! Nauseus, hate feeling this way, couldn't even have breakfast, guess I'll have to turn vegetarian or something... Ugh! One more day and out until next year, out of here, cursed place, out of the plastic people with plastic smiles and plastic hearts... Out to be all by myself, yay, what a happy thought... Much to do, not much money to accomplish all goals just some basics, and not much desire to do everything I have to do but everything I wish to do... Sims having the time of their lives, wish I were one. Me, still in the struggle between being human or the daughter of Lloth. It's so shitty being half-breed... No matter what you do, you don't feel complete, you don't feel that good... Wrong era to live in... Reggaetón at every corner, people dressing as drag kings and pimps... (not even drag queens, those dress really nice actually)... The time of drugs, sex, violence, anarchism, death... Ugh! How about reincarnation and living the life of Crocky... Then again a stupid guy would try hunting me... Supper! Would be nice to listen to some waltzes and dance the night away while dancing to that beat, under the moonlight, near a lovely lake that's not filled up with corpses or memories of them... Would be nice to actually smell the fresh grass and not the weed people... Would be nice to smile from the heart and not just to keep plastic people within their plastic worlds... Keep on dreaming of living in a perfect world... I'm a romantic after all. Who knew?

Do I stress you out
My sweater is on backwards and inside out
And you say how appropriate
I don't want to dissect everything today
I don't mean to pick you apart you see
But I can't help it
There I go jumping before the gunshot has gone off
Slap me with a splintered ruler
And it would knock me to the floor if I wasn't there already
If only I could hunt the hunter

And all I really want is some patience
A way to calm the angry voice
And all I really want is deliverance
Do I wear you out
You must wonder why I'm so relentless and all strung out
I'm consumed by the chill of solitary
I'm like Estella
I like to reel it in and then spit it out
I'm frustrated by your apathy
And I am frightened by the corrupted ways of this land
If only I could meet the Maker

And I am fascinated by the spiritual man
I am humbled by his humble nature
What I wouldn't give to find a soulmate
Someone else to catch this drift
And what I wouldn't give to meet a kindred
Enough about me, let's talk about you for a minute
Enough about you, let's talk about life for a while
The conflicts, the craziness and the sound of pretenses
Falling all around...all around
Why are you so petrified of silence
Here can you handle this?

Did you think about your bills, your ex, your deadlines
Or when you think you're gonna die
Or did you long for the next distraction
And all I need know is intellectual intercourse
A soul to dig the hole much deeper
And I have no concept of time other than it is flying
If only I could kill the killer

All I really want is some peace man
a place to find a common ground
And all I really want is a wavelength
All I really want is some comfort
A way to get my hands untied
And all I really want is some justice...
-Alanis Morissette, All I really want

You're a Nuclear Bomb! You are by far the most dangerous and destructive of all the weapons. You're also the most advanced. You're cold and completely indifferent, destroying everything you can without feeling, remorse or regret. You also leave a nasty aftertaste: Radiation. Well, on Thu night went to the grad place to check it out after all... Loved the place. Reminded me of Little House on The Prairie. Met with LightShadow afterwards... We were suppossed to see Rent but as my usual luck, it was no longer showing... So, we went to see NightWatch. Eeeeeeck! Cross Neil Gaiman with Mortal Kombat video games and a bit of Thundercats (just a bit). Stupid movie. I though it would be original or attention grasping... Unworthy of the big screen. God, this year has been dissapointment after dissapointment... I hope King Kong and Narnia saves the year... Narnia! Narnia! Gosh, can't wait for that one!

The weekend went too fast. On Saturday finished up the scratching walls project. They are ready for paint… That would be another story. Went to Lucinda’s place since it was her birthday. I could gather no one since everyone had something better to do. Whatever. The important thing is I went with Groundel, we brought her cake, we singed along and at least for a few minutes she did something else than house work. Now Diego is into fishing, and Barbie is speaking nonstop.

On Sunday went early in the morning to deliver (finally) the pressure machine. Went to my house and things are almost finished. The wall looks great. The directional light fixtures are awesome. Eating at auntie’s and caught most of the Walt Disney Holidays preparations show. It was great, showing how they prepare every decoration on all the theme parks. Loved the tree of Animal Kingdom! And the gingerbread house. Well, afterwards, went to get another fixture, this one for the stairs… And rented 2 movies that sucked badly. And then to sleep.

The Devil’s Rejects: Same line of nudity and mindlessness of the 1st movie… The gore was not as gorish as the first one, though… Poor in every way. Hated it.

The Skeleton Key: Another good idea, another bad execution… The site was perfect, but one could actually foresee what was coming. Not creative, maybe a bit more research on the hoodoo matter would have given it a lift…

Had a bad dream. In the dream I left my cats under the care of a friend. I went to get them back, but he didn’t have them. He complained they were too many cats and it was too much work so he gave them to some of his friends so they took care of them. I was pissed and wanted to get them inmediately. He said that it was late and I should wait until the next day and closed the door. I was mad at the idea, then another friend told me he knew where the cats were. So we went to the place. I knocked at the door and this ultimate bitch answered, one of my nemesis… Looking around I saw an old cage completely unkept. A starved to the bone Kali was there, full of fleas. I was enraged by the whole thing, demanding to know where were the others. The lady said they were around that they kept coming and going. Spotted what I thought would be Roxy, turned out it was Roxy’s head. As I picked up the head I spotted Set outside, under a car. I screamed his name, and he tried to run away, but I caught him. He was half bald everywere, seemingly covered with sarna and with hot water bruises. And he was also starving to death. I started demanding to know where Kyonne, Cyric and Michita were, and there was no answer. By the look on their faces nothing pretty happenned to them. I woke up almost throwing up. Had to run to my kitties room to make sure they were there and alive and well. They were all sleeping in the twin bed, and looked up as I entered the room. Sat there watching them and caressing them and crying. You can take anything from me, but my kitties… they are who I love the most. The though of loosing just one makes me insane. Couldn’t sleep the rest of the night, having the image of the so called Kbron in my mind… Of all of them, Setito is the worst behaved, but I love him as well and wish him no harm. Don’t know why I dreamed such a thing… But it stirred me up.

Another working week… At least this one will be short. I’ll start vacations on the 15th, and it ends next year at the 9th…

You must understand how the touch of your hand
Makes my pulse react
That it's only the thrill of boy meeting girl
Opposites attract
It's physical
Only logical
You must try to ignore that it means more than that

What's love got to do, got to do with it
What's love but a second hand emotion
What's love got to do, got to do with it
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken

It may seem to you that i'm acting confused
When you're close to me
If i tend to look dazed i've read it someplace
I've got cause to be
There's a name for it
There's a phrase that fits
But whatever the reason you do it for me

What's love got to do, got to do with it
What's love but a second hand emotion
What's love got to do, got to do with it
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken

I've been taking on a new direction
But i have to say
I've been thinking about my own protection
It scares me to feel this way

What's love got to do, got to do with it
What's love but a sweet old fashioned notion
What's love got to do, got to do with it
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken

-Tina Turner, What's love gotta do with it
Rainy day. A bit tired and sad, but life goes on. Waiting for transportation to go to Aguadilla, if none appears I'll have to go by myself… Yay. Besides that, had an appointment to see the facilities of a small church to decorate for a graduation in May. But I'm canceling until Monday, I'm tired and cranky so not a good day for beig too much of a social butterfly. Thinking of maybe going to see Rent at night… Whatever happens. Watching old net pics, thinking too much… planning like crazy… LOL Daydreams, nightmares, whatever they may be called…

I'm off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz…

Today is Dec 7, 2005. A year ago, a good friend had a very unfortunate event that lead to death. She had preclampsia and that got worst with her asthma and high blood pressure. The doctors saved her baby, but were unable to save her. After a blood transfusion something went wrong and her brain died. The next day, Dec 8, by midday, her husband asked the doctors to turn off the machine that kept her body alive. A kid, a newborn, and a husband were left behind, along with all the people that she took care and was responsible for in matters of medication, preparing food, doctors appointments, and all that without mentioning work. The whole thing was unexpected and a great blow to those who valued her immensely. I want to take a moment to let the world know a bit about who was Betsynet.

Betsy was the only person I could call friend at San Juan's work office. She called me everyday, to update me on things about work and to see how I was doing. In her busy schedule she always had time for me, and she always remembered the little things. I met her when I started working at ARV in SJ, she was the secretary of the MIS director… so not oddly enough, she ran the complete office. A flawless commander, she gave out orders to everyone, from the big boss to the cleaning crew. She made sure that job tickets were taken care of, that messages reached their destiny, that our overtime counted in matters of paycheck, as well as she always tried to create a family-environment full of small gatherings just because. Her attitude was always cheerful, even if she had to go in the middle of the morning to pick up her son and take him to emergency because he had an asthma attack… or even if she had to baby-sit her mom at the hospital the night before. In an office of lost & found, she always knew where everything was, and she always performed her duty at more than her best. She was polite and nice to those she didn't like, thinking that they were that way because of their own problems and issues. She didn't waste time on gossip, she had a life to live.

After I was transferred to Mayaguez I though she would join all those people that claim to be friends but after a while of distance simply cool off… Not her. Every morning she had a moment to call, even if she had no jobs for me. In time I could tell things became really stressing over there because of her confidences. People who were nice turned into jerks. Everyone was fighting a cold war, and she was left in the middle of it because of her sensitive position. Nevertheless, in the middle of it all, she did her job, did not double cross anyone, gave good advise even to those jerks who did everything to get her off her position. At work the common harassing environment became worst everyday, since all that people could do was screw her life up since she could not be taken off her duty because she did a perfect job. Evidently, that continual screwing up her daily life had a toll in her. She married a guy that she had been going out with for a time, the event was short and sweet, and very nice. It was one of her happiest moments.

Betsy and Tony were made for each other, he loved her child, and they constantly took time off to travel throughout the island getting to know each of its prettiest corners, as well as to travel to the states. She once went to Salem and brought me a charcoal drawing from the witches' museum. I can say with no doubts that the time she spent with Tony and her son was well spent, she lived her life to the fullest. And she found the time to be kind and of service to everyone around her. In several occasions I stayed at her home in order to attend meetings and trainings at SJ. I always felt I was staying with family. Her latest project, finally getting a house of their own, came true. The last year she spent making improvements in order to have an at home office for her husband and a room for the new addition to the family. And at work, her pregnancy was not an obstacle for her doing her best, and for people screwing her life even further.

The time of her baby shower came, and they did a small gathering to celebrate it. It has been a Saturday. I could not attend because of my car, I could not travel that far. Next Monday I called to ask how was everything and I was given the news that she was in the hospital. No one told me it was something serious. The next day she died.

Betsy always thought of every problem "Que se joda!" She did her things and didn't really care about anyone else's opinion. A good daughter, a good mother, a devoted wife, a good friend… She gave me a taste of how life should be, that anything can be accomplished, and that you better take charge of things now because tomorrow may be too late. She died young, but she truly lived. Not everyone can say that. She did all the things she wanted to, she worked at a profession she liked, and she found true love and kept it. She brought a smile to anyone around her, and hope to anyone who was sad or tired. She made you feel important even if you had done nothing at all.
Betsynet: You are missed every hour, everyday. A whole year has passed, and your absence has demonstrated to many that you were invaluable and irreplaceable. May you enjoy a last laugh when you look down towards us. Thanks for all your lessons, my friend. RIP.
Yesterday had to go at 10:30am from work. I had a big pain that wouldn’t go away and I knew it would last the whole day. I was right. Throwing up followed as soon as I got home. Three times. Awful. Tried resting. Today I am not feeling so good, but auntie woke me up anyway saying I had to go work… Being sick is no excuse to stay home. WTF?! I hate this… So, back in my office… I supposse that if I get bad again I will just sleep in the floor since its no use trying going home to rest. Happy happy joy joy.

Groundel went to the WIA thing and they scheduled some things for him. Hopefully that is the kind of help he needed to get a job. As Madonna said many times: "We'll see"

At work. Another boring day… So far nothing of big interest… The elevator is not working as usual and the going up to the 4th floor through the stairs is a killer… But I guess it was not as bad as with some old people who got dizzy out of it. :(

Yesterday Gruendel had a Star Wars game in Sabana Grande. He called me at work to let me know. The day passed by him and I guess he forgot he promised to go to Gestión Unica on Monday… and to CUE. He's fast to make promises without really meaning them… Whatever… I only wished he REALLY were interested in studying (which he is not) and that he gave a little more of himself to the quest of getting a job (if he doesn't get it by Dec-Jan I don't think he ever will… It's been more than 4 months and nothing…). Lack of motivation if it is not game-related…

Tril called before my going out of work time, so I asked him to go with me to deliver something in Hormigueros. He had nothing to do (hmmm, another lazy ass) so he agreed. So, I tryed giving back the machine that a co-worker lend me, but she wasn't home. Hurray, hurray… Gave Tril a trip to the house and inspected what has been done so far… Stairs almost closed, electricity still a work in progress, no light fixtures installed so far. The tree is kinda eating the balcony up, gotta trim it and put some venom on the weeds so they stop harrassing the house… Whatever.

Back home... With the kitties reading Christopher Lowell's books and then to sleep. My eyes are still bothering me… I know something is giving me allergy… Seems I'm not the only one with that, Lucinda can't even talk because of her seasonal flu.

I feel sad. Everything around me seems so stale and blah. I wish I could make a big change in every way, but what's the point… We are but pawns that amuses God's will.

On this past weekend:
- Another episode of My Phone is Still Dead.
-Rented Unleashed and Land of the Dead. Both were entertaining... Although I still think Jet Li's best performance is as Kato, and Land of the Dead ended up with stolen scenes from Shaun of the Dead (chained zombies for fun) and the classic mall scene... Whatever.
- Basically stranded at aunties playing Sim's 2. Made a family made up by Sara, Angel, Maria and Joe... Four very different people, living in the same house... I'm trying to see what happens when things stop being polite and start getting real... The Real World, Mayaguez. LOL
-Yesterday, from 1pm to 7pm... putting the Xmas tree. Wheeeeeee. Pretty pretty pretty

Nothing further. Waiting for Narnia and Aeon Flux. And hoping for vacations soon... Work keeps on sucking. At least this year is the first time a boss gives me a detail, the boss from SJ sent an iceman globe. That was cute. :)

You try to do something nice, a little detail of sorts, and somehow you get punished for it by destiny's fickleness… It just proves my theory of at work be a bulldog because you do not get paid to be friendly.

The day has been slow… Now the power supply of my laptop is dead, meaning I will have no means to access the net at home. Things keep getting better and better… I even got a complain about why I haven't left feedback. Lightning may strike on me if I get outside…

Too pissed to actually go into deeper thoughts…

And an errata comes to life: I have no complains about my friends, they are the best people I could want around me. My complains go to the other side, meaning relationship and eternal flames. So, my friends I love the same, Joe. Don't you dare to doubt that! (Only Kodak moment of the day, promise).

This weekend… I made a list of plans, but I am feeling bad enough to just cancel everything and stay on bed until Monday. Whatever…

Thursday, December 01, 2005

It is so ironic when people tell you what to do as if you knew nothing of things or life… I was just commenting to a coworker about the things I want to be: event coordinator, painting artist… He began giving me samples of people that could help me focus on ideas… creative people. I was thinking what the fuck? And that’s the shame… What people see as creative is not. I smiled politely and just said “I have done scenographies, I write stories and tales, I paint ever since being 5 years old, I write poems, and speeches, and plays… I have just the right contacts for an event coordination business, I can do a whole advertising campaign… I have developed 3 business plans… I can’t do things right now.” And all he said was that I was afraid of taking the first step, blah blah… (sight) How about this: I am not afraid of anything, I just can’t right now. But I have a plan, and I have deadlines for myself… I just need to be patient about some things. I can’t count on my spare time after work because (ding, ding, ding!) I have no spare time…

I’m in charge of making my aunt’s house livable again, because there is no one else to do so, period… and because all I am today I owe to her… So even if I complain because it’s no piece of cake, I know I am the only one that can help on that matter.

I also have the construction and improvement of the house in Hormigueros… I will love the outcome, but I know the way is bumpy and hard because I have no sources to fund the projects and so I have to wait, gather the small amounts until I have the complete amounts to pay off each stage… not easy at all… I can’t expect auntie to sponsor me when she can barely sponsor herself, and no one else has the extra income to use me as a hobby. It’s ok… My vision for my house will be completed by the end of next year, at least on the inside... That much is certain… I just don’t know how much I can cope with all the holes in the road, and the broken bridges…

I also want to go back to studying, although I am not certain yet if I will do another master, this time in Painting and Photography, or if I will go for the doctorate of International Business, Social Work or Psychology… In any event, that will take place in August. By then I should be more stabilized in matters of location and time… I can’t study in my present location… I get stressed just by being there.

In the middle of all that I created a schedule of all the travels I want to accomplish for the next 10 years. I want to be able to say that I have traveled the world. I want to expose myself to different cultures and ideas, and learn from the experience. England, New Zealand, Russia, China, Thailand, Australia, Egypt… I want to be there. I don’t know where I’ll get the funding, but I will do it. It is one of my greatest dreams.

I want to jump start a painting career, but I need a portfolio of less than 3 years and at least 25 paintings in order to be taken seriously. And that is the plan from January to June… So I can go to the Culture Institute and get an artist license so they grant some benefits like cheaper materials, and exposure via mall festivals and the like. With that I can get a gallery in San Juan to represent me, so I get the proper exposure when I cannot represent myself. With that I can also go to the city central government and offer my services as muralist… But I need a solid recent portfolio… Until that is done, it’s all about dreaming my life’s greatest dream. It is in schedule… I just have to wait a bit…

I want to have a part time as event coordinator, but first everything else in my life must be in order so I can count on my spare time… so I have the focus and creative juices working in the right direction. When I am moved into the new house, when I have my portfolio, when I begin studying and I’m certain of the right amount of hours I can dedicate to such a task, then I can think of developing this kind of business. I give it one more year, not too long a time if you put things in perspective. And then I will be able to juggle one event each month, so they turn out great.

I have not discarded the idea of teaching painting on weekends. I will have the space to do so, and the investment on cubicles and seats and materials will not be so overpowering. But then again, I must wait a year… until I am well established in my home.

So… I have the plans, I have the dates, I have the talents, I have the creativity, and I have the will… I know what I must do and how to do it. But it all gets slowdown because I have no godfather in terms of money, so I must do everything myself, little by little, with just the right amount of sacrifices. I know where I am heading. It is just frustrating having to sit down and wait because right now there is nothing else I can’t do… It’s all about timing. Opportunity always misses my door… Hopefully it will knock at my door… Soon enough…

And in the middle of all the chaos of what I want to do and achieve in my life, the emotions and feelings of failure due to living a life doing what I hate is… discouraging… to say the least. I thought by now I would have achieved a stable dream job, would have a stable mate, would have a stable little family… But it all has come to ashes. I must endure in this job I hate because there are no other options for now. I have no mate, I definitively don’t have a family and I’m seriously pondering if I really want one after all… I am not what most men want, and the only men that understand my way of thinking are gay. After 30 no one approaches you because of who you are but because of what they can get out of you. I have tried to open myself to new friends, but that has proved a terrible mistake as they only want one thing and I am not interested. I find the only people that honestly likes being around me are the ones I have known for more than 10 years, and that is the reason why I seemingly rotate around them at all times. They are the ones that were there when I was nothing, when I had achieved nothing… and they are the ones that are still there, believing in me. No love can be greater than the love they have given me. And yet, something is missing… I feel empty no matter how much I try to make things right. I feel that love has left my heart forever. And that is a terrible belief in itself… I feel my time for love is past. Seems I will always be the best friend for everyone who loves me, but nothing else… because of themselves and because of me.

How to understand everything… Here I am back at the beginning… In a cold office, trying to ignore the pressures of coworkers, the pressures of home and the pressures of my own. Only the good die young… Now I know why.

The week has been basically uneventful. I'm feeling down but coping with it. Work-home-feelings, all suck. Gotta get a turtle so I can at least water it.

No phone yet. PRT didnt appear on Tuesday, left a note on Wed with Tue's date and are suppossed to pass in Fri. Last chance for them, it's been 5 weeks and if they don't go fix it I'll report them to the Ombusman. Why can't things be nice and easy?

Bought lamps on Tue and got them to the house yeasterday. I still need two pairs for outside-upstairs and below, one for living room and one for dining room... Guess those will have to wait until January... I also need 3 metal doors, two for upstairs and one for downstairs entrance. Another wish for Feb maybe? Unless Santa acnowledges I've been such a good girl... Whatever.
